I was in the area at the Farmer's Market and this store was on my to visit list. So I ordered pizza and wings. When I got home, I was very impressed with the pizza. The pizza will go down as one of my top 3 choices here. The pizza is original so not like most other store bought pizzas in other pizza shops. You can see the store make the puzza right before your eyes. I was greeted with friendly service. It really took about 15 or 20 minutes for the food. This is one pizza ship I recommend. It's a very good pizza. If the dough was crisper, this would be in my top 3. The cheese tasted like whole milk mozzarella, and pepperoni had a good spice and crisp to the. 1st time trying it, I give it a good 7.7/10. The wings are baked and had a really good flavor and not dry at all. Only seating is outside, this is a pick up and go spot. Very clean inside and a very friendly staff. read more

The Quest for the Holy Grail of El Paso Pizza: Part IV Westside Pizza 7930 N Mesa St Suite B13 COWABUNGA DUDE!!!! That's the vibes this pizza gave me as soon as I laid my eyes on it. A coworker of mine (Peter Smith) said that this joint was the best pizza he's had since moving to El Paso from Detroit, so I gave it a whirl. Classic large cheese pie. And skimping cheese is not in Westsides vocabulary. It was cooked well done and the undercarriage didn't stand a chance. Don't be mistaken or fooled though, the crust wasn't soggy. I'm assuming these use some sort of mixture of part skim and regular mozz. I may be mistaken. The sauce had a nostalgic taste to it. It gave me that Great American Pizza vibe. Not the new great American pizza, but the original George Dieter location near where vista del sol intersects. Overall great pie, other than no crisp to the well done crust. It has everything a kid would love about a pizza pie. Hit all those textures I would love in a pizza as a youngin. Definitely worth its $8 price tag. Highly recommend. Says on their door, that they're closed at 10 on Friday and Saturday, but the last 2 nightie called and been there, and there telling me they close at 9. That's just unprofessional and suspect to me. I am not sure what happened to the original owners (now elderly couple) but since they sold it, this place is absolute garbage. My husband keeps giving them chance after chance, but I always know that it will be a giant disappointment. No matter what we order, this place is always a shit show. If they manage to get the pizza right, as opposed to the constant which is ALWAYS burnt, then something else falls through the cracks. My husband picks up our order today, and of course gets home and realizes the wings and all sauces are missing. When we call back, the manager says that she unfortunately can't do anything about it like sending a driver with it, and the wings she's now found in the back of the oven are there if we still want them. My husband drives out again and I called back telling her I need to upgrade them from the 12 to the 20 piece and she laughingly says says "well we wrapped them up for you already soooooo...". I told her not to worry about it and hung up. This is the absolute last time I support this place. We try to eat local to support small businesses but this consistently awful. read more

Love this local gem! It's a hidden local family owned business that definitely has great crust that makes the pizza! My children and I are vegan but my husband isn't and this place is one of those special places that accommodates! We bring our vegan cheese to enjoy and support their small business! Was very pleasantly impressed with the quality of the food and the super friendliness of the staff. Ordered for carry-out and had the great big Freight Car Pizza, a large cheese-only pie and 18 hot wings for a family dinner. The lady who greeted and rang us up when we came in to pickup was so nice and friendly. The pizzas were REALLY good. Nice crust that wasn't too thick or doughy but had a nice golden crisp with just the right amount of chewiness. The amount of cheese and toppings they put on these pies is also very generous. Only was able to grab a couple quick snapshots of the Freight Car pie, as the kids demolished the cheese pie and most of the adults scarfed down the wings before I could catch a shot.... If you're on the West side of EP or Sunland Park and want some great pizza at a much better value (and taste) than the national chains, give Westside Pizza Express a call. However, I found the pizza lacking any real flavor. Maybe the sauce needs some fresh herbs or salt? I don't really know... I added a little garlic salt to my pizza and breadsticks and they were much better! The ranch- omg the ranch! Thank you for making your own instead of using that nasty bottled stuff! This small mom and pop pizza shop is incredible! I had the Hawaiian pizza and some of the BBQ wings and would have it all over!! The crust was delicious with excellent homemade pizza sauce and generous toppings. The wings were very flavorful and fairly portioned. The prices are great and the service was awesome. I noticed the taste and quality was different a few months back, today I asked if Mike was still the owner and I was told he sold WPE about 4 months ago. The taste isn't what it used to be the quality is obvious and for the first time in 20 years my order was wrong.
