This is a colorful Hole-in-The-Wall local Mexican restaurant that offers Sea Food and Mexican food. With Pastel, Flamingo pink; yellow and orange color the restaurant present without any doubts an original taste of the coast of Mexico. Fishes and serapes hanging around you almost have the impression to be on vacation. Le Caldo de Pescado was delicious with a fish broth made from scratch. Timo offers some good Sea Food plates with shrimp tacos, fish enchiladas and a tasty fish Ceviche. The menu is really extensive, a treasure of seafood!! Our server Gabriella was super nice and challenged my basic Spanish.

I wish I had photos for every time I've eaten here because every dish has been a hit! This is authentic Mexican food ! It is delicious and if you know authentic Mexican food let me tell you this will be your go to place once you've tried it. Menu prices are not bad at all. You always get enough food. With the covid going on they are offering pick up. We picked up some delicious warm pozole Sunday; which came with some buttered francesitos, oregano, red crushed peppers, limes, and the toppings for the pozole (cabbage, radishes). They have authentic Mexican bottled soda. Their in house made limeade is also amazing !! The burritos for breakfast are one of my favorites, as well as the shrimp cocktail and asadero quesadillas. They also have fish fillet dishes that come with plenty. The tacos are also amazing !!! And they are very kind people ! Support local !

This is a little hidden gem. The food is excellent. Great taste, not heavy. Perfectly seasoned. The chips and salsa are also excellent, the salsa was actually spicy! I also had a shrimp cocktail but it was a bit on the sweet side. I would have preferred it with Clamato than the sauce they used. The plates are served with a half of an avocado. My husband had the shrimp tacos, also very good. I am not a rice fan, but my husband said it was good. Service was quick and food was served quickly and with adequate temperature. The place was busy. It was clean. Prices are reasonable.

Everything we had was very good. The menu is small ( a good thing). We didn't take pictures of the chowder or the oysters because they were in our bellies before we knew it. The beer was cold, restrooms clean, and staff attentive. We will return for round 2

Had the chance to visit during their soft opening this past weekend with one of my friends who…read moreloves oysters just as much as me, and we both agreed that it is super refreshing to see an establishment like this come to town. Adjacent to the The Tiki Room, Pearl Divers features a rotating list of oysters from different regions at $3 a pop. We had the chance to try all three oysters that they were featuring for the day and we really enjoyed the palette. The oysters featured might've been limited but they had a major punch to them with flavor. My favorite were the ones that were a bit more briny, truly small but mighty. Your oysters are brought out with the traditional crackers, hot sauce, mignonette sauce, horseradish, and lemons. It was nice for them to all folks the chance to order in any quantity as I'm sure a few folks might be trying oysters for the very first time in a landlocked city. The had a finessed menu featuring carpaccio, tartare, and about ten to fifteen dishes encompassing appetizers to main entrees. We had ordered the carpaccio but it never came out (no biggie, again it was soft opening so we came in with an open mind). Since we got there a bit later in the day, they were out of frites and I am a loyal fan of oysters, frites, and bubbles (wine at the minimum). This just means we'll have to be back. What was most important to me though was the service and how friendly the staff was. We opted to sit at the bar (as one should at an Oyster bar) and be as close to the oyster display as possible. I used to live in New Orleans for a few years so sometimes when it's busier and you're chatting away they'll shuck an extra one to you every so often to try. I'm pretty stoked to see the dining scene continuously elevating and Pearl Divers is a nice rendition. I'll be certain to come back and can't wait to see what a five-star experience is out of their soft opening phase. *** If there is one piece of feedback I'd provide is to have smaller spoons for the mignonette and forks for the oysters. The current sizes are a bit too large and can easily ruin the integrity of the oyster when making sure it's been properly separated and not intact, as well as, not being able to have the right ratio of mignonette sauce for each oyster. The spoon was constantly hitting the mouth of the condiment cup.

My mom made a reservation for 3 people, June 19th, 2026. Upon arrival, staff advised our table was occupied by other patrons, & would have to find another table. They proceeded to sit us at a table meant for 2. We did not fit comfortably, and plenty of other tables seemed available. I approached front desk and requested a change of table. The staff (3 women) proceeded to explain me about their reservations, table availability, restaurant occupancy, table #'s, etc. They were not polite, were flustered & stressed out. They were checking but stated it was not possible, I basically had to beg, to be moved to another table. it worked, and we got moved. This took about 10-15 minutes. it really was a hassle... I was ready to walk out...How could you start your dinning experience like this? Anyway, we ordered drinks, appetizers & main course, as soon as we got the 1st appetizer, a an employee came to the table she told us: They have other reservations, & need our table, and we need to rush so they can take care of their reservations. I could not believe her. By the way, no other patrons were getting rushed out, just us. This woman really ruined the mood. Ive never been told to eat quickly because there are other reservations in need of my table. I told her- to go ask other patrons for their table, and to STOP disturbing us. she walked away.. on to the food review: I got the Jamaica Mezcalita- it really was great tasting & a beautiful presentation in a coupe glass, nicely garnished. Highly recommended- or not? (the waitress told me to rush & get out?? Mezcal is meant to be zipped..) My mom had the mandarin mezcal drink- beautiful presentation, she loved it. See pictures. Appetizers: we had the Jalea de mariscos & tuna nikei. Beautiful presentation & delicious- ( but did we enjoy it? not really, were told to rush.) My parents each had the tacos de pulpo, I got the Maracuya Ceviche- again beautiful presentation & taste.. as we started eating, we had another visitor- the woman from the from desk, this time saying she was leaving, and she had the nerve to tell me to not stress out & enjoy, proceeded to mention everything about the reservations, tables etc. It was annoying. I told her- that's an internal restaurant issue, i dont work here, I am a customer. I dont even know why they kept burdening me with all their internal issues. I will say nobody had the courtesy to apologize. Not one person said- sorry for the inconvenience. All i wanted was to have a nice dinner with my parents & AMAR's staff made sure to made it uncomfortable and rude. Where do you hire your staff? Exception: Max the waiter, he did a good job, was pleasant Resumen en Espanol: Jamas en la vida nos habian dicho que comamos rapido por que necesitan la mesa para otra reserva. Increible.

And I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place in El Paso, Texas. For starters, you sort of have to navigate your way around a second parking lot to get to it, but it is worth the adventure. Walking through the door. Door. They have a very nicely kept greeting station with a bar off to the left. So I made my way to the bar for a drink before dinner After my drink I went and got seated waited for the rest of my party. Looked over the menu and asked for suggestions. The chef's specials are always on point I was told so I opted for the blackened red snapper etouffee. Wow, what an amazing dish! And the presentation was off the hook. The spices were on point. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was just a very good dinner experience. Service was a little slow, I think that they weren't prepared for a party of 20 even though we had a reservation. Had it not been for the very slow service I probably would have given them five stars. But hey it's a improvement point. Bottom line? If you are in El Paso and you are looking for a nice upscale seafood place that has a casual feel, you could definitely check this place out.!
