Ribeye and shrimp combo is/dill rice and grilled veggies
Lisa J.

The three stars are for the very outstanding service , atmosphere and the Yadi's Favorite which was one of there very tasty chicken dishes. And I'm so glad my cousin let me taste it because the dish that I ordered , the combination shrimp and ribeye with dill rice was extremely bland and underwhelming. Not to mentioned the ribeye was very tough .. I've had better Persian food and wish this had been good like others I've tried, but overall was still a pleasant experience.

Every time we come to Garson we enjoy our time. We love Persian food, and their Fecenjan is to die for! What is not to love about a delicious pieces of chicken dipped in a luscious and rich amazing pomegranate sauce?! We are obsessed with it, we have also tried their other dishes and it was all very good. We love the bread and a bonus point...it's made in house! Definitely give this place a try and you won't regret it.

We came for dinner on a Friday evening. There was plenty of parking in their lot. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant and dining area itself were very clean. I thought the menus were nicely designed as well. All of the servers were very attentive and came by frequently to refill water. There was lots of complimentary bread as well. The bread itself wasn't the best, but I appreciated that they kept bringing more. I ordered the boneless chicken and beef koubideh with doogh. Prices and portion sizes were very reasonable. However I thought the tomatoes on the side tasted a bit too sour. The beef was cooked well, but I thought it tasted a little too salty. The chicken needed more seasoning. Overall, this is an okay place if you want affordable Persian food. But there are probably better spots to try in the area.

Lamb shank, ribeye kabob, seafood 56. Shrimp & Salmon Kabob Combo

Incredible food! We had the lamb - so tender! The seafood kabob was the highlight of the meal wow. Can't wait to come back!

Okay the service alone gave this 5 stars! They were so kind, attentive and genuine. We were a big party on Mother's Day and they took care of us like family. All the food was delicious, especially the boneless chicken kabobs! The dill rice wasn't over powering with dill but definitely there. All dishes were packed with flavor and very satisfying large portions.

If the capital of Nevada was Garson City, I'd never go to Nevada. That's how much I like this restaurant. One of my worst experiences in Houston. We showed up to have some delicious Persian kebabs (never been before), and I was wearing my usual muscle shirt and Barbie her usual sexy outfit, and we were told to leave or to sit in the spare room (empty, cold, by the door) separate from the dining room (nice, warm, lots of people), because my muscle shirt "isn't proper attire". Meanwhile there was people smoking in the doorway, a old smelly guy with his old man bare feet up on a chair drinking tea and reading, and 2 people vaping as well. This isn't a fine dining place, it's just a little locally owned place with decent prices which shouldn't be so judgy and prehistoric - I hate to see what would happen if they put this place in Montrose or Midtown. Those kinds of double standards are disgusting but when you consider it's a $10 Kabob place and not fancy restaurant, and that we've even in a lot of fancy restaurants (and lots of Persian places, cheap and expensive) around the country, and that I'm Persian (lol), and literally never been told to leave or change outfits even once, anywhere, you can see why it would rub me the wrong way. Besides, I didn't have any other shirts with me that day, we'd come from the gym and I only had a dirty similar shirt or the clean one I was wearing. I wanted to try all the Persian places, but I'm skipping this one and telling all my friends to do the same after the nastiness and prejudice and hypocrisy. Nearby Darband is probably the best Persian in the country anyway, so we generally tend to stick with that or the equally excellent Bijan just down the road.

It had great Persian vibe including music played. Food and drinks: Very good selection of traditional dishes that were not westernised as in other Persian restaurants. The food was fresh, well seasoned and was full of flavours. The meats were moist, salad and starter tasted fresh. Pinch of sumac which was available on each table was a perfect addition to our dishes. Highly recommend hot Persian tea. Pricing: $$ - very affordable for the quality and quantity of foods received.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

My recent visits here consisted of a Gyros Plate with rice, Hamburger with uncut tomatoes n pickles…read more& lemon potatoes and Greek Spaghetti Meat Sauce on Sunday Special. All 3 meals were really flavorful, good quality, really well-seasoned, very juicy and so delicious. The gyros and burger are without question imo the best in TX. Ekko's and Nick The Greek are 2nd n 3rd for Greek food for me. I always got the gyros sandwich as opposed to the plate before which is odd bc I always prefer meat plates over sandwich form in other foods like bbq, steak, etc. The meat pieces were all really tasty and had some slight char to them too. The taziki sauce is always cold, creamy in feel and refreshing with a good yogurt aroma to it. It's a great bonus and the gyros didn't even need it tbh. The tomatoes were nicely refreshing and the exotic, cool center dolma is always a little treat with meals here. The rice and chunky lemon potatoes with my meals were always mild but still great in texture and prep. As I said before; from my experiences in every single Greek cafe, if the taziki sauce is good, the gyros will be too. It's a solid symptom and indicator imo. As for the burger, very rarely are burger places only in TX actually any good for the past 15 years. So many are just average or below lacking seasoning or a great overall flavor. Niko Niko's, Goode Company Hamburgers and TX Hamburger Palace are my top 3 in that order for it. Each different too. The brioche buns were just the right thickness and very soft to make the beef patty stick out well. The patty was so nice in charbroiled taste, saltiness, richness, beefiness and tender in every bite. A good burger doesn't need much in toppings, but cool, refreshing, tomatoes are a must for me and pickles add some tangy crunch too. For steak rare, but for a burger medium to medium rare. I had never seen or heard of their Greek Spaghetti n Meat Sauce before. This was like a Greek Bolognese with a lot of love in its flavor. The noodles were drained, very moist and so soft. I don't like too much cheese, so I took some off, but still like some. The meat sauce gravy itself was really flavorful, savory, fatty enough and had that subtle sweet, warm spice aroma you get in the Greek lasagna. I like to get dessert here sometimes when I have extra room, bc they have some great options like their galaktobourreko, chocolate ganache cake, etc. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient on these visits.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.

The chicken shish kebab, falafel, lamb kebab, and menemen were all well seasoned and paired nicely with the many dishes of rice, salad, and flatbread they all came with. The lentil soup was also delicious. I was with my parents, who really only have a desire to eat East and Southeast Asian food, but they still enjoyed our meal here, which is saying a lot.
