Even though I'm not the easiest patient, Dr. Chen always goes above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable. I first saw Dr. Chen when other dentists couldn't solve a dental issue I was dealing with. He fit me in the very next day and resolved it in just one appointment. That experience showed me how skilled and committed he is, and I've trusted him with my dental care ever since. Dr. Chen's work is consistently outstanding--from durable fillings and perfectly fitted crowns to cosmetic veneers that still look flawless after years. Thanks to him, my dental health has never been better, and I feel more confident every time I smile. His referrals to specialists are excellent, and his hygienists make every cleaning smooth and stress-free. The entire team creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that every visit feels like a positive experience. Now, my whole family sees Dr. Chen and every friend I've recommended Dr. Chen to has been just as happy and stayed with him. Her explanation is so clear and so easy to understand...what's happening to my teeth and my gum. Second visit, Dr. Nelson Chen performed filling my old filling and it was easy peasy lemon squeezy for him. He refilled my old filling in 30-35min and he was so skilled. Quick, smooth and gentle. I had a very disappointing experience with Bellevue Azalea Dentistry after getting Zoom teeth…read morewhitening. During the whitening process itself, I had to stop before the fourth session because of sudden, intense nerve pain. By the third session, the pain had already become severe. At that time, aside from applying a post-treatment gel, the only recommendation I received was to take painkillers. There was no effort to observe or assess my condition while I was still in the clinic. I was in so much pain at the front desk that I felt lightheaded, yet beyond asking if I was okay, there were no meaningful suggestions or attempts to address the issue other than relying on medication. After the procedure, I experienced extremely severe and frequent tooth pain -- sharp, nerve-like flashes happening almost every minute, even when I wasn't talking or exposed to cold air. The pain radiated from my teeth and gums all the way to the back of my head and lasted for about three days before it started to subside. During that time, the pain was so intense that I couldn't speak comfortably or focus on work. While the dental assistant was responsive over text, I made a consistent effort to describe my symptoms in detail (frequency, intensity, affected areas) hoping it would help with proper diagnosis. However, the only guidance I received was to take painkillers and repeated references to it being "sensitivity," which felt dismissive given how severe the pain was. Eventually, the symptoms improved on their own over the weekend, but I was left with lingering discomfort -- my teeth and gums still feel unusually "soft" and not fully normal. Overall, I found the experience unprofessional and lacking in proper care or accountability. I would not recommend this dental office.

I was fairly certain this wasn't really necessary since I never had these types of "issues" before with other trusted dentists (and hadn't ever even had cavities!). Just as the pandemic started, I tried switching to another dentist recommended nearby, but their equipment didn't seem adequately clean (splatters on the light above and the sunglasses they gave me--at the start of pandemic times no less, it was so gross!!!). So I super-researched dentists and was so happy to find Redmond Dental with stellar reviews and longstanding expertise. They took my insurance and also could help with my in-laws' dental needs which was such a relief too! As a patient of Dr. Tung, I really appreciate all the rigor she has placed on setting up a welcoming practice (including safety measures for COVID that have adjusted as needed and are as practical as possible for both patients and her staff). Dr. Tung is very personable, meticulous, and truly cares about making sure that you're satisfied with all aspects of your dental work, and I've experienced this with her staff as well. I've never felt unduly pressured during my regular cleanings for additional services, and when I think of how she's treated me, my husband, and my in-laws for all our dental needs, one word especially comes to mind: integrity. Thank you so much Dr. Tung and everyone at Redmond Dental!

She even took pictures of my teeth to help me see up-close of some teeth that had wear. The doctor came in at the end of the cleaning to examine my teeth, answered some more questions I had, and I was off on my way.
