i used to live right next to this place so it was an easy choice to just walk on over…read more unfortunately, my insurance changed (i used to be covered by my husband's insurance, but that expired and i had to change to my company's insurance, which this office doesn't accept), so i had to change practices. i'm sad that i can't continue with this place bc the admin team is SO NICE and understanding and accommodating and patient and knowledgeable and friendly and always on top of things. they always recognized me and my son and were so quick with all the technical procedures and scheduling and all while my 3 y/o was very distractingly messing with the water cooler in the lobby. the text communication with the admin team is so efficient and easy, and they're not very strict and cold in their communication--they're friendly and loving and have character. i love this admin team, and i will miss them dearly :( as for the actual hygienist team: the assistants/hygienists were alright, some cooler than others. some of them seemed to have tense relationships with the main dentist (you could just kind of sense it from the way they talked to each other or about each other--nothing bad was ever explicitly said, but it was in the tones and the sighs, the small things), which made me wonder about whether the dentist was treating his subordinates well or not or what was up with that, but i have no evidence of anything questionable going on so i can't say for certain the main dentist here dr lo is cool and definitely knows his stuff and cares about me and my son and remembers stuff about our lives and is very gentle and understanding about tough things going on with our lives and such, which is awesome. i will say, though, that i at least felt like he was kind-of A Lot at first. i wouldn't say he's weird but he has a lot of charisma and confidence with the way he talks, and at first it was kinda like Whoa This Is A Lot, but it's nothing really bad, and i can tell everyone's gotten used to his bold personality. he was great with my three year old and very understanding about parenting issues that we've faced. overall a cool guy! also the goodie bags and toys that my son received after visits (as well as the toys in the lobby!) were awesome. he still loves and plays with the toys he got from here! this review is like a Thank You And Goodbye note to this clinic. thank you!!

The last straw for me was his lack of accountability after a routine cavity filling that led to nerve damage and the eventual conclusion that I now need an extraction to fix his mess. It took him multiple appointments to even diagnose the issue. He was completely nonchalant about messing up and implied that it was meant to happen. If that wasn't bad enough he offered a discount on a dental cap after my extraction. If you can't fill a regular cavity then should you even be in business and to act like it was my problem and not his doing only made it worse. If you care about your family's health, I would highly recommend to avoid this dental clinic at all costs!

I'm a true cry-baby when it comes to dental work. I have been there now for the last two years. Dr. Lam-Gershony was referred to me by my son and DIL and they have been going to her for years. Dr. LG is truly one of the rare dentists out there. She is friendly, professional, uses new technology, and I feel like she, and her staff, truly care about my dental health. I had a few small fillings that needed to be done, and it went off without a lot of pain or anxiety! I have a nice comfort level now that I have experienced how Dr. LG treats her patients......and me. The fear level has been diminished! I moved away from Bellevue, and tried other dentists, but they just weren't up to this standard so it's worth the 45 minute drive to come here. The knowledge, skill level, and advanced equipment here are far above what I've experienced in half a dozen other well-rated dental offices over the years. I want to add after perusing some other reviews that Brookside provides a written itemized detailed bill (estimate) before each appointment, including specifics of insurance coverage. At my choice it is texted to me, usually 2 weeks before the visit. They never make a change during the visit which will change the cost without asking and explaining. They never bill for work until it has been completed. They stand by their work and, when a couple fillings of mine just fell apart after a few years they figured out with me that it's because I grind my teeth, and didn't wear the ill-fitting night guard I got from another dentist. They miraculously got insurance to cover a new night guard years early, and replaced the fillings for free without being asked, even though it was technically my fault for not taking care of them. The "new" owners (it's been a few years now since they bought the practice) were carefully chosen by the old owners and my sister and I both feel they absolutely provide the same wonderful standard of care.

Another time when doing something, she decided to file one of my tooth because "it was on her way and it was too pointy". WTH! I couldn't say anything because I had my mouth open, in the middle of a procedure, and my tooth was already filed! What was the point... Last time, she told me I can get something like that in another tooth because apparently pointy canines are not trendy anymore. Who cares?! I've lived my whole life like this. I love my smile. And truthfully, I can't see it pointy. After working in the Industry, one of the basics is not pointing stuff just because you think some beauty canons should apply. That's a No No. On the other side, she is very nice, sweet, and spontaneous. Sometimes some comments, but I don't get offended easily. During the last years I've been watching how staff has being leaving. Every 6 months I had a new Hygienist. I previously had booked more than an hour. She is so good that did her job in 20 minutes. Yes, they charge you 1.5 hours for a job that can be done fast. And is fine if they charge what they want. You'll decide if you stay or not. But to schedule you for that long when it's something faster, felt like a scam. Another time I had to pay before leaving. They wouldn't bill first my Insurance. So at the end I overplayed. Later on I had to be the one following up if they were going to refund, send a check, or use it on my next visit. It was a shame they stopped using Insurance. They accept part of it, but being out of network with these things, is not worth it. I thought it was, but I've found so many great dentists lately with super easy way of working, polite, and in network! I don't have to pay extra after my Insurance! It was tough leaving after years, but I guess it's time :( I rang them to let them know about leaving. They couldn't have cared less. Not a survey, not a question after years. I felt like too many things in a Relationship, right? So 2-3 stars?

My wife will do the same. It isn't the first time they messed up things. For at least 2-3 times, they had to charge extra than they initially claimed. They once charged my wife extra for my previous visit but I already paid what they claimed the cost would be during that visit. For another time they didn't file claim to my insurance correctly and I found it after 6 months and notified them. I mean I only started visiting them since like 2 years ago and their error rate was so high. I don't recommend to any one.
