My wife will do the same. It isn't the first time they messed up things. For at least 2-3 times, they had to charge extra than they initially claimed. They once charged my wife extra for my previous visit but I already paid what they claimed the cost would be during that visit. For another time they didn't file claim to my insurance correctly and I found it after 6 months and notified them. I mean I only started visiting them since like 2 years ago and their error rate was so high. I don't recommend to any one.

I admit, I was cheating on my normal dentist I'd had for years due to some special offers they had so it's not like I wasn't 'in the know' about the condition of my teeth. But, according to them, I was in danger of losing many of them and needed thousands of dollars of work done ASAP. Their style is more like a used car sales office, you go into a 'consultation room' before and after your appointment and there are some high pressure sales techniques being used to get you to agree to schedule appointments for massive amounts of work on your teeth as well as return for a 'deep cleaning' as their normal cleaning really isn't much of one as other reviewers have stated. In the end, I didn't succumb to the pressure and crawled back to my original dentist, apologizing for the brief affair- he offered to give me a similar deal as they offered and didn't even reprimand me for cheating. He confirmed, none of the work was needed they had said were emergencies, and when I called back to let them know that, they said they always recommended an aggressive stance on dental work as they aren't set up to deal with emergencies. Uh, that's just wrong on both fronts, why would I want a dentist who would refuse me in an emergency and who basically does all the work that MIGHT need to be done and have me pay out of pocket instead of spread it over years of insurance coverage?

My review is specific to Dr. Lisa Chen, my dentist, and Dayna, the hygienist, who has been working with Dr. Chen for decade+ too. I first met Dr. Chen at a Rosehill, Kirkland dental office. Seriously, 15 years ago. She had just opened this large office and had quite a team going. I stayed with her for all the years that she was there, until she became a mom, was working less hours, and eventually sold that business. Nowadays, she works Tuesdays and Thursdays at this location, choosing to spend more time with her family. Both Dr. Chen and Dayna have always been thorough and patient. They truly comb through all my dental care needs. They are not pushy, either. My last dental office told me four of my bigger fillings needed crowns - FOUR! I left them, and 2 years later, Dr. Chen and Dayna are still monitoring those same teeth and I still don't need a crown yet!! I am so done with places where the dentist has minimum face time with you during each visit, while I am still horizontal on the dental chair, and I hardly know what he/she looks like. I am also done with those were the dentist does only the most critical parts, such as drilling out the decayed portion of the tooth, then a trained somebody comes in to do the filling, then a trained somebody else comes in to do the final tidying and clean-up. I call those places assembly lines. I hate them. I finally left all those and returned to this small office, where I know I will see basically the same two people for every visit. I love it!!! For my most recent visit, I went in became of dental pains that I was suspecting to be a root canal issue. I was correct, and they referred me to an endodontist. They didn't even charge me, despite doing an X-Ray. That's a business worth returning to! Dr. Chen also speaks Mandarin and Taiwanese. I've heard of her being very, very popular amongst the Chinese population.
