I'm so glad that I found Dr. Darian. I had to change three doctors and finally he cured me, found the correct diagnoses. Best of the best so carrying doesn't double book the patient, each appointment is an hour. He does the blood work at his office and draws the blood himself. Dr. Darian helped rid me of a painful & debilitating battle with asthmatic bronchitis that had gone on for a whole month. I'd gone to several supposed pulmonary specialists & no one could give me a clear diagnosis. They'd prescribed steroids that only masked the mysterious issue & one gave me an inhaler that sent me to the ER. In one quick appointment Dr. Darian knew what I was dealing with, gave me the proper medication & in two weeks I was good as new. Highly recommend Dr. Darian. I care for my aging parents and had to find a new pulmonologist for them when their previous doctor retired. This is the first US doctor I've met who actually examines patient! At my first examination he spent 2 hours talking to me, examining and listening to my cough. Stark contrast with all others who just look at your test sheets and give medicines without even setting eyes upon the patient. Dr. Darian is an excellent doctor. He has never misdiagnosed me or anyone in my family and has actually helped catch a life threatening issues early on. He is not quick to throw medicine at you unless it is necessary and has a very good gauge of when something is minor or should immediately be looked at by a specialist, or to have immediate testing or scans done. Elizabet at the front desk quickly answers the phones and always tries her best to accommodate an appointment time that works and is as soon as possible. Dr. Darian is the man! I've tried so many other doctors, but all seem to be mediocre. I had been searching for a thorough and efficient doctor who doesn't just shrug off the questions I have. This is it! I found the perfect doctor who takes his time to inspect everything, who doesn't rush you because he has 6 patients in the waiting room. He gives every patient an hour to talk to. I was looking for a pulmonologist for my daughter & I'm so glad to have found Dr. Darian! Just like anybody else, I read reviews of doctors before making an appointment. The reviews about Dr. Darin do not lie. As the saying goes, "The first impression counts!" Dr Darian not only have a good sense of humor but he's also very knowledgeable and cares about the well being of his patients. He has an impressive background in medicine being once a GP, a teacher to doctors in their residency and now a specialist. I've never come across a physician who is so thorough. Our 1st visit lasted 1 full hour & Dr. Darin was determined to find the root to the medical issue. Many doctors treat their patients like revolving doors but Dr. Darian took time to listen, ask questions, and provide sound advice. Have tried for one week to contact Dr. Darian to make an appointment. Answering service doesn't know where he is at? He reminds me of the TV show, "car 54 where are you?". Will find a different Pulmonologist. For a doctor he seems irresponsible towards his patients by his inaction. read more

I've written a review about how owner/employees in family restaurants might seem rude to some people because of a communication barrier. I experience this at this doctor's offices. Well, the staff at both Dr. Darian's offices are the same people working at both offices, just on different days. They do not have good communication skills. Dr. Darian is very nice, speaks very calmly, and is very understandable. I'm not sure how good he is because I've managed to stay pretty healthy (knock on wood), but he's a very good listener and he asks lots of health related questions and also to get to know you. Just his staff seems rude because they (she) keeps talking and you have to interrupt her in order to speak. She seems very kind most of the time, then suddenly she's a difficult person to work with. Like Jekyll and Hyde! Bipolar I tell ya! I would rate his Pasadena office at least a 4 star if it wasn't for his staff (mainly the receptionist). read more
