Dr. Dang is wonderful! He has been my primary physician for four years. He is easy to talk with and genuinely listens. I'm blessed with good health, but when I do have a problem, I text him and he consistently gets back to me quickly, helping me out and finding me a spot in his schedule to see me in a timely manner. Last night I experienced sharp pain along with a few other symptoms. I ruminated all night. This morning I texted him with my symptoms at 8:45. He responded and I was in his office by 10:00. Dr. Dang was a referral from another doctor that I hold in high esteem and it has been a very positive experience overall! His office is great and personally reach out to remind you of appointments (instead of recordings). The office is easy to find, easy to park and easy to get to. Dr. Dang's demeanor is very warm, friendly, genuine and caring. I am not thrilled to be dealing with the reasons that bring me to him, but am so glad that it's him that I'm going through this with! I also trust the fact that he's working with me to get to the point where I won't need him any more. Put yourself first - I highly recommend doing your annual exams on time and trying to take care of medical issues head on - don't be afraid of Drs and avoid if you're afraid of a diagnosis. He takes his time to talk and understand what his patients are going through and follows through with the procedures needed to ensure that his patient get the right treatment. Lab results are scheduled and as soon as results arrive he takes his time to call patients back on time to review results. A colleague of mine recommended Dr. Dang to my mom and I. As a young healthy person, I don't feel the need to go to the doctor a lot, but Dr. Dang has made me see the value of seeing him regularly through his emphasis on preventative care. My husband and I had a great relationship with Dr. Dang for several years. We needed a new General Practitioner because our current doctor was transitioning to VIP Concierge which, on top of our health insurance, we could simply not afford. Dr. Dang came highly recommended so we met with him. We expressed concerns that we would get established as patients with him only to have the same thing happen again. Dr. Dang's response was, "You don't ever need to worry about that happening because I will never switch to VIP Concierge. I don't do this for the money. I do this because I care about my patients." This put us at ease and we became his patients. Fast-forward to two weeks ago. During a follow-up visit, his nurse comes in to take my husband's vitals and drops the VIP Concierge bomb. We could remain his patients if we paid the $4000 VIP Concierge fee ($2000 each per year). We were absolutely stunned and hurt that we had been so blatantly lied to. He was more than just a doctor to us. We considered him a friend. It never occurred to us that he would go against what he had said. So while we wish he and his family the best, we can no longer recommend this doctor. read more

Be careful with this doctor. He charges for the first appointment that is supposed to be with no copay. I went for my annual physical. They charged like a new patient visit and I received a bill now. Then the doctor tells you to go again for a second visit to give the lab results (which most doctors usually just email or mail), so that he can bill a second visit to the health insurance company as if it was the physical. Therefore he gets 2 appointments payed. One entirely by the HEALTH company, and the other shared between me and the health company. But the truth is: First visit: He barely checked my vitals. Didn't check my skin, lymph-nodes, ears, abdomen. I was sitting at his couch, not even at the exam chair, he asked some questions about my health and that was all. Second visit: Even worst! It took 5 minutes the whole appointment and he just said "congratulations you are very healthy ". What a ripoff!!!!! I'm surprise the health insurance companies never do anything about it. It should be ilegal to do this kind of thing. I'm a very healthy patient and I don't have any chronic disease that justifies going in person to get my blood test results. I tried to avoid going to the second but he wouldn't give the results if I didn't go. read more

DR. Dang is an amazing doctor! He has looked after my family for years. He has been there in our times of need. When my family member was dying, DR. Dang was very supportive and gave us the reassurance we desperately needed. Even when we knew there was nothing we could do he still did the best he could. DR. Dang was there every step of the way and my whole family is thankful for that. My uncle was not just a client or patient to DR. Dang, he was his friend. He cared enough to always communicate with us when my uncle was no longer able to speak or care for himself. In those dark times, DR. Dang was our angel. None of my uncle's other doctors from surgeons, neurologist, gastroenterologist provided the human empathy and connection that DR. Dang provided. He went above and beyond any other doctor. I became Dr. Dang's patient after my Doctor of 15 years went to private practice. My former Doctor was amazing and very experienced which means a lot in this field. Dr. Dang doesn't have that yet, but I decided to check him out either way because he was one of the options I had at the time. Dr. Dang seems like a nice guy and he always been very present when I needed to come in last notice. When Anthem moved away from California, I had to get a different health insurance. I went with Blue Shield as my insurance provider coverage. First of all, I have a PPO plan and I'm able to have a physical at any time I want during the year. When I booked my Physical with Dr. Dang earlier in the year everything was good and nothing was said to me, I went to the appointment like always (mind you, I live in the Valley and he's in Pasadena). When Dr Dang entered the room, he told me that If I wanted to have the Physical on that day, I'd have to pay for it since it hasn't been a year yet since my last physical (He was wrong, since I always had PPO). So i told him that that would defeat the purpose of me having insurance and I said no. I also told him that he shouldn't make me drive all the way to Pasadena to tell me that, he could have had his assistant call me and explain... Either way, I booked another date for June so It would be free with my insurance but a couple of days after that meeting he sent me a letter saying he could no longer see me. That was not cool. To me Dr. Dang is very inexperienced and for sure needs an assistant that knows her way around the bureaucracy of dealing with Insurance companies. One last thing, he also keeps sending me bills that I already paid for. I have no problems paying for my bills ever, but when your insurance tells you that you don't owe anything, check your doctor! read more

He responded my request immediately, even in the late night, by sending the prescription to a 24-hour Pharmacy so I was able to get a new Nebulizer to help my son for not sending him to ER. This doctor purchased the medical practice from my previous doctor who was forced to retire because of cancer. Instead of working the practice, he installed a "physicians assistant" to see patients. A "physicians assistant" is NOT a doctor, and needs a doctor as back up. When I wanted a refill on a script that my previous doctor had given me years earlier, he refused to give me a refill of the same dosage. Even my CVS pharmacist said, "you have been on this dosage for the last two years, your body is acclimated to it. I fired Dang and found a new doctor. read more
