I've had several main…read moredoctors over the years and seen almost every doctor in their stable, but my favorite is my current PCP, Dr. Erin Ennis. Dr. Ennis is the most human and personally engaging doctor I've ever had. She looks me in the eye, listens to what I say, and doesn't rush through our appointments. She never belittles my concerns or my questions, but takes me and my questions seriously. She demonstrates absolute professionalism with no sacrifice of humanity. She treats me like a person, not a collection of conditions. She also keep current and sharp on medical issues. She frequently mentions some journal articles she's read that might affect a condition, treatment, or medication I'm taking. She's the whole package. I can't recommend her highly enough. The practice has a dozen or so doctors and one or two FNPs or PAs, along with a host of support staff. Most folks are very cordial and helpful, but you'll also find the occasional sourpuss. I ignore them, and focus on the people there who go out of their way to be nice.

My main reason for going there is the Dr. I think Dr. Murray is the very best when it comes to taking care of his patients. When leaving his office you feel that you and he are on the "same page"! He listens , he's not condescending and he takes the time to know you. I feel that many Dr.s offices these days make you feel like you need to "take a number" to be seen. I do agree with another review I see here where the person was upset about no one seeing her parents right away when they had an emergency. Before I became a patient of Dr. Murray I called on one occasion with an emergency and got no response with any assistance from this office. These days I don't you'd have this problem. Relocating from the Midwest and searching for a great practice was difficult till I happened to get referred by a past colleague of mine. I have gone to this same office for over 5 years and have never once had a bad experience... I don't find that a coincidence or that I'm one of the lucky few. I've been seeing Amanda for years and can't express how incredible her bedside manner is. She's beyond empathetic and listens without rushing you or making you feel anyway but important. My health in all areas has improved since seeing her and the lovely staff. Never a billing complaint, nor any other complaint, EVER! The staff is warm, kind, and most of all professional-which is the icing on the cake. I understand there are "unforeseen occurrences" or occasional "mishaps" in any business, but to say anything BUT positive things about Avance Care seems to be more of a personality flaw and/or "waking up on the wrong side of the bed" matter than anything else. This will always be my family's and my primary care practice... once you make an appointment - you'll see first hand why this practice has been open for so long.
