I am always able to get an appointment fairly quickly if needed. I just recently needed to have my daughter's swimmer ear looked at. Her pediatrician, didn't have time for her pain, so I called my family doctor. Garner Family took us right away and gave her medicine and she was back swimming for her team in less than two days. I am now switching to them from the pediatrician. Yes, my kids are now older, so I guess it is time anyway.

All were narrowing with arms on them. There were no spare armless stools or armless chairs for someone with wide girth like myself. So this was very uncomfortable for me accompanying my elderly mother. My 94 yr old mother had to struggle to get up into the exam chair...almost too hard for her. The struggle left her very fatigued. Suggestion: bring in a few extra-wide chairs for heavier people; and, step stools for short people trying to get in and out of exam chairs.

Requiring patients to make two physical visits to the clinic during standard business hours before being able to schedule an appointment is an unreasonable hoop to jump through for access to care. I can't comment on the quality of care that may or may not be provided by the team at this office once you are an established patient. My rating is based solely on the practice having a policy that limits patient access to healthcare.

Unfortunately, the billing department provides poor service. I have twice been charged during a well visit for services that have been previously mentioned in other appointments. When I spoke to the billing department they said that I could not discuss anything that was a new illness during a well check up. I told them that I did not do this and they said that I must have brought up things other than what was allowed during my well checkup. I called Blue Cross and they told me that the office was improperly coding the visit and this should not have occurred. I will not be going to Village Family Care anymore or any Novant affiliated office.
