I have also been seen by Dr. Ennis when Dr O'Neill is not available and she is excellent as well. However, because they are both excellent physicians, it's almost impossible to see either one on short notice. Unfortunately for us, the patients, we then get subjected to the likes of Dr. Pleasant. I usually won't write an unfavorable review. I'm more apt to write nothing as opposed to writing something negative. However, my experience with Dr. Pleasant was so negative and such a complete waste of my time, that I have found a new PCP with WakeMed. I'm incredibly disappointed that Dr. O'Neill will no longer be my PCP and I will not see Dr. Ennis any longer, but the thought of EVER AGAIN having to interact with Dr. Pleasant is enough to have forced me to go through the hassle of finding a new PCP and wait months for my first appointment. Dr. Pleasant was rude, he spoke over me, and he has the worst 'bedside manner ' I have ever encountered. I checked and he spent FOUR minutes in the exam room with me. The medical issue that prompted me to make the appointment was not resolved, and he was completely dismissive of my symptoms and my concerns. The office staff at GFP is conscientious, professional and pleasant. Drs. O'Neill and Ennis are caring, knowledgeable, and professional. They have excellent listening skills and are an asset to GFP. I am sorry that I will not see either of them again, but it's necessary because I wish never to see that other buffoon again.

My main reason for going there is the Dr. I think Dr. Murray is the very best when it comes to taking care of his patients. When leaving his office you feel that you and he are on the "same page"! He listens , he's not condescending and he takes the time to know you. I feel that many Dr.s offices these days make you feel like you need to "take a number" to be seen. I do agree with another review I see here where the person was upset about no one seeing her parents right away when they had an emergency. Before I became a patient of Dr. Murray I called on one occasion with an emergency and got no response with any assistance from this office. These days I don't you'd have this problem. I am very happy at this Medical Ctr.

Relocating from the Midwest and searching for a great practice was difficult till I happened to get referred by a past colleague of mine. I have gone to this same office for over 5 years and have never once had a bad experience... I don't find that a coincidence or that I'm one of the lucky few. I've been seeing Amanda for years and can't express how incredible her bedside manner is. She's beyond empathetic and listens without rushing you or making you feel anyway but important. My health in all areas has improved since seeing her and the lovely staff. Never a billing complaint, nor any other complaint, EVER! The staff is warm, kind, and most of all professional-which is the icing on the cake. I understand there are "unforeseen occurrences" or occasional "mishaps" in any business, but to say anything BUT positive things about Avance Care seems to be more of a personality flaw and/or "waking up on the wrong side of the bed" matter than anything else. This will always be my family's and my primary care practice... once you make an appointment - you'll see first hand why this practice has been open for so long. I just wish I had done a review years ago... but I hate doing reviews... but that'll have to change as most people don't submit a review unless they have a beef... and that's a TRUE shame! I have come to this location a few different times. Everyone is always really nice but I think a…read morelot of people were having a bad day today. A lot of the staff kind of avoided the patience. I was early for my appointment and then I was late being seen. They then put me in a room in the back for a long time and I only talked to the doctor a few minutes. I was there over an hour 4 or 5-minute visit.

On August 1st 2024 I called to make an appointment and that was an issue3 with a rude woman on the phone. I said that I needed an antibiotic and please have the nurse to call me and to make me the first available appointment. I'ts September and I still haven't been called nor was an appointment made. I just tried to call and make an appoinment for just a routine visit 09/09/2024 but that is obvIiosly an issue because stating a routine visit to the woman who kept asking over and over is this for a refill? am I ill/ did I need a physical? I just want an appointment for a routine visit and that is not good enough for this practice anymore. I will be finding another PCP because this is rediculous.

I have liked this practice of doctors since I started going here 9 years ago! Wide variety of…read moredoctors to choose from and always friendly staff. I am always able to get an appointment fairly quickly if needed. I just recently needed to have my daughter's swimmer ear looked at. Her pediatrician, didn't have time for her pain, so I called my family doctor. Garner Family took us right away and gave her medicine and she was back swimming for her team in less than two days. I am now switching to them from the pediatrician. Yes, my kids are now older, so I guess it is time anyway.
