They bustled my dress in a way that didn't take away from the elegance and took it in at the waist so it fit like a glove. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They also managed to squeeze one of my bridesmaids in for a quick, same day alteration which was super appreciated. The end quality was great, but the added stress (the week before my wedding of additional alterations appointments to fix something I didn't break) was not what I needed :)

I was so worried after I ordered from a company over seas and the dress was too small. The team was not only professional but also very respectful and accommodating. I found a blog on Evelyn, and thought, hey let's take a chance. I went to meet her earlier this year with my mom and my dress in hand. She was able to quickly know what needed to be done. I asked to have another fitting when I returned for my shower this weekend when I would have a couple other family members in town to see the dress. Saturday I went to try on the dress, and it fit perfectly! I am so excited that everything looked fabulous and I will get to wear such a beautiful dress on my big day! Her customer service is amazing as well. She was willing to show my sister how to lace a corset back dress and what to do on my big day with no problem. She also gave us suggestions with purchasing a steamer in order to steam some of the wrinkles as it gets closer to the wedding. Any questions any of us had, she had an answer with no problem. Do not hesitate to travel downtown to Evelyn for your alterations. Her prices are very reasonable as well.

I came across Evelyn on Yelp and liked her work on her website. What impressed me the most was her turn around time (1 week) so I figured I'd give her a call and cross my fingers everything goes well. The consultation was 30 minutes exact, super easy and she was very outgoing as we talked about the details of my wedding. She told me to come back on Wednesday (my appointment was Monday). Evelyn did an AMAZING job hemming my wedding dress as well as adding a clasp to replace me having to tie a bow in the back of the dress. I'm amazed how quickly she was able to do it in 2 days, I was honestly expecting a week from what her website stated. I highly recommend her to any bride that needs alterations, especially if you're on a time crunch or other businesses are booked.

When she said they were ready, I picked them up and took them home to try on. The bridesmaid dress hem was horrific. Lining was longer than outer layer and one side of dress was longer than the other. The rehearsal dress had never been touched! When I addressed the issue with her and demanded a refund, she apologized for the hem and said she didn't know how that happened but would refund me. She insisted she altered the rehearsal dress but it was clearly never touched. She would not agree to this and only refunded me a portion of what I paid. I had to get someone else to fix the bridesmaid dress and buy another rehearsal dress. Also, she had the dresses for a month and this occurred 3 days before the events. Very Disappointed !!!

The timeline is typically 2-3 weeks to have an alteration done and she has always gotten the work done within the promised timeline. I took off a star because the store itself is a bit messy with piles of bags of alteration jobs on the floor. Despite this she manages to stay organized and always has quickly found the item I'm picking up. Also the store hours are limited with it only being open in the afternoon during the week. It's difficult to find a good alteration spot in Charleston. I've tried a handful and this is the best I've found as she does a good job and gets the works done within the given timeline.
