I came back 2 weeks later and, after five minutes of searching, she found them and said I agreed to two weeks and four days. That did not happen. As I was checking out, she said she had wanted to give me back my pants, undone, four days earlier but I had already left. An absolutely horrible business - will NEVER go back.

I seldom use them and had forgotten about my earlier bad experience. On the spot is now expensive and they require payment when you bring items in. The younger employees are sitting around on their phones and disinterested. The older person was unfriendly and abrupt. Obviously this is not typical southern hospitality. Since the hangars are twist-tied together and covered with plastic, you don't know which shirts have ironed in wrinkles until you remove the plastic and separate your shirts. I will have to wash the cotton ones and re-iron them myself. If there was a star less than one, I would have given them the rating they deserve. I will not forget to never use them again!

I brought an old dress to get a simple hem; it was too long and so I just needed it taken up a few inches. They told me it would be $30, which I gasped and questioned because I was definitely not expecting a simple hem to be $30. I expected max $20. After 7 WEEKS, I got a text that it was ready. It's cash or check only which is so irritating, and then to top that they tell me it would be $50!! Y'all are out of your minds to charge people $50 for a straight, uncomplicated hem.. There are plenty of other places that have way quicker turn around time and more reasonable prices and who answer their phone. Would never recommend this place. The only positive is that they are English speaking and nice. I tried it on when I got home, and it's not even an even hem. Terrible experience.

I found a blog on Evelyn, and thought, hey let's take a chance. I went to meet her earlier this year with my mom and my dress in hand. She was able to quickly know what needed to be done. I asked to have another fitting when I returned for my shower this weekend when I would have a couple other family members in town to see the dress. Saturday I went to try on the dress, and it fit perfectly! I am so excited that everything looked fabulous and I will get to wear such a beautiful dress on my big day! Her customer service is amazing as well. She was willing to show my sister how to lace a corset back dress and what to do on my big day with no problem. She also gave us suggestions with purchasing a steamer in order to steam some of the wrinkles as it gets closer to the wedding. Any questions any of us had, she had an answer with no problem. Do not hesitate to travel downtown to Evelyn for your alterations. Her prices are very reasonable as well.

I came across Evelyn on Yelp and liked her work on her website. What impressed me the most was her turn around time (1 week) so I figured I'd give her a call and cross my fingers everything goes well. The consultation was 30 minutes exact, super easy and she was very outgoing as we talked about the details of my wedding. She told me to come back on Wednesday (my appointment was Monday). Evelyn did an AMAZING job hemming my wedding dress as well as adding a clasp to replace me having to tie a bow in the back of the dress. I'm amazed how quickly she was able to do it in 2 days, I was honestly expecting a week from what her website stated. I highly recommend her to any bride that needs alterations, especially if you're on a time crunch or other businesses are booked.
