I liked this business recommended people. I had a wedding last minute found a dress but it needed the sleeves taken in- met with Mati- SHE IS LOVELY! I was thrilled they would do a last minute repair for me. Today I went in to pick up the dress- The owner Robert was in the front so I asked him if I was supposed to try the dress on( not sure if you do or not?) He couldn't be RUDER ... he goes she picks her dress up the day of wedding and needs to try it on???????? With a real snide edge - he said "why it is what it is at this point!!! "I said well what if it's not right like crooked whatever- he said -"oh well! "Like I was being rude for asking! Am I crazy?-as a business owner would you be rude to a customer like that? I was friendly nice it was just a shock - He really needs to be a bit nicer to his customers if he plans on keeping them! I am writing this review because it was that unreal and unexpected I was really taken back by his tone and demeanor! I had a dress with a bad zipper that kept splitting. I picked up the dress after paying $70 and the zipper was no longer split. About a week later, the next time I put on the dress the zipper split again and it was obvious to me the zipper had not been replaced. It is worth noting that I had not gained any weight in this time, they just did not fix the dress. I called and the phone went straight to voicemail and my call was never returned, my money was never refunded, and I was never issued an apology. Disappointing experience. Brought in a dress to have the straps adjusted for my niece's wedding. Was told that it would be an easy job as the straps had a seam at the top of the shoulder. All that was done was a fold of the material and a few stitches, something I could have done myself. Couldn't try it on, was told by a rude man that they didn't have a dressing room. I drive 40 minutes for non wedding related clothes alteration, so when I need someone to work on my wedding dress, Marti is my #1 choice. I was not surprise that she did an amazing job. Marti and Robert are awesome! I recently took my pre-COVID Tux into their shop for alteration. I've lost a few pounds and it was hanging off me. Marti assessed the fit and let me know the $ estimate. Here's what I love about Marti, she's honest to a fault. She said, Darrel, I can alter it and get it to fit better but it's not going to look the way you want it to fit. I can do it but you'd be better off getting a new tux. I really appreciated her honesty and concern for my satisfaction with the tux over her getting some business. I am not sure if it was a language barrier issue or not. I would love to say that they are a lovely hard working Hungarian family, which I truly think they are.
