SO COOL OMG. Plus they have gothic themed cat art... can't get better than that. The interior is very dark and feels homey.

An incredible, eclectic store with great staff. They require guests to wear a mask and are setting such a good example! It's so frustrating to see people get tired of being covid aware so seeing how easy it is for them to take precautions is so refreshing. Thanks for being a safe place for the weird and at-risk!

Such a cool little gem in U-district, it's tiny but full of the oddest and coolest decor and tools for your craft. They have everything to fulfill your witchy dreams and items for your altars like statues of your patron deities, as well as incense blends for your specific deities. The incense smells absolutely phenomenal, I bought some and everything smells lovely now. The employees and owner is very helpful and kind. I got loads of help and patience when it came to purchasing a tarot deck. The person helping me would pull the cards out and let me actually go through the artwork, I wanted a deck with gilded edges and they brought me a deck from a local artist that made a animal/nature inspired deck with gilded edges and it was perfect. I picked that and some incense to cleanse it as well as some candles for a cord cutting ritual. Thank you so much for your help, and I love my replacement deck for the one that got destroyed. I will be back for that beautiful Hekate statue and for incense. Please support this shop and local artists :)

One-of-a-kind shop to check out if you're in the U District area! They have tons of interesting trinkets from statues to books to jewelry. The way the store is set up reminded me of an antiques shop curated with interesting gothic and witchy items. The staff is friendly and told us about local artists that they were featuring in their store. Note that they do require masks (but will provide one if you've forgotten yours). Come check it out!

The store has been a gem of the university district since the 1990s. And that's about as long as I have been going there! I took a break and just visited again after 15 years. I was still overwhelmed at the amazing choices that they had. I always walk away with something from the store. They have so many beautiful products and really unique treasures I've never seen before. The store smells amazing and the owner is warm and gracious. They are social distancing right now and only allow five people in the store, which is really nice. I did have to wait 15 minutes when there was no line but it was worth it when I got inside. They also take appointments if you don't like to wait. I felt like I had a personal shopper when i got inside. I can't wait to come back and drop more cash, hopefully without waiting 15 years this time.

Such a cool independent store on the Ave selling witchy stuff. This is a good place to find unique gifts.

What an awesome shop! I have literally never been in a shop with a better vibe or aesthetic than this one. Everywhere you go, there is more to look and explore, with super cool trinkets and art as far as the eye can see. There are so many beautiful pieces of art, candles, incense, jewelry, and cool gothic style shirts. In their back section currently they have an art gallery and lots of prints, candles, and art work from local artists, along with artworks at the front of the store. I love that they support local artists! They have original art pieces along with prints of all sizes and handmade cards. Everyone working there was so nice and helpful. They also had really cute store merch with things like tote bags, shirts, posters, and aprons. I could spent hours in here looking through everything, I can't wait to come back!

Have you ever needed a gargoyle but you had trouble finding one? Well look no further! There's an entire store dedicated to these creatures! Cute, scary, big or small - they have them all! Literally. I walked in here one day while in the area and found myself totally in love! The Notre Dame has nothing on this place! You can get fountains, skeletons, jewelry, incense, and gargoyles galore! The owners were very pleasant and the store was very neatly laid out. Maybe not a good spot to bring kids in case they'll knock things over. Oh - and don't come if you need to pee because they have lots of fountains and water displays to remind you it's 'time to go.' My favorite piece was an adorable little wide eyed bunny rabbit with vampire fangs. As soon as I live somewhere that has a balcony, I know what to decorate it with!

A painting on a vinyl record I bought at Gargoyles!

I often wind up buying incense just to throw some cash at this store in appreciation for its existence.

The salespeople know what they're talking about, try to understand your needs, and don't try to upsell you. The family-owned business, since the 80s, sources its furniture to ensure quality and sustainability, making me feel good about where I spend my money. The prices are fair, and you're assured of getting very good-quality furniture that will last for a very, very long time. We bought a Stressless chair, which they sell many of, in the 90s, and it's still my favorite chair in the house. Even the delivery people love working there and care about your satisfaction. We live in a condo where they had to carry a large piece of furniture up four flights of stairs. One board got slightly banged up; they showed it to us, took pictures, sent them back to their manager, and assured us they would take care of it. Later, the owner came out, fixed the dings enough where we were happy, but he wasn't. He said this will do until we can get you a replacement because you bought something new, and you shouldn't have something newly fixed; you should have something you know is new. I can go on and on about what a great experience and value it is to shop there, but most have probably stopped reading this by now. Suffice it to say: if you want excellent-quality furniture that is super comfortable, long-lasting, puts a smile on your face when you see or use it, and makes you feel good about where your money went, buy it at Bedrooms and More. To the Owners, Thank You...We need more small business like you.

Her original delivery date was scheduled for mid-September/October for the couch and early November for the bench. It's now November, and she still doesn't have her couch -- and the bench has been delayed until December. The delivery team was supposed to bring the couch on Tuesday but claimed they couldn't find her house and simply left. After hours on hold and speaking to multiple employees who all gave different answers, she was told it would be delivered Thursday -- only to now be told next Monday. We're extremely disappointed. My mom even planned ahead -- we took back the couch she'd been borrowing from us on Monday, expecting her new one Tuesday. Now she'll be without a couch for a full week. That's unacceptable after spending this much money. I warned her about this store because of their terrible delivery reviews during Covid, but we were assured by an employee that those issues were in the past. Clearly, that's not true. For a store this expensive, the customer service and logistics are shockingly poor. You can easily find better quality furniture, lower prices, and far more reliable service elsewhere. Save yourself the stress -- do not order from here.

They're incredibly knowledgeable and saved me from making the wrong choice (seriously). They explained key differences between towel types, how long the super-lush towels take to dry, and helped me compare the waffle vs. classic options in a way that actually made the decision easy. I'm remodeling two bathrooms and brought in photos-- they guided me to the perfect color direction and it made such a difference. Professional, warm, and zero pressure. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in the Village. Pro tip: go in to see/feel the fabrics and colors in person, then order through the store to support local retail. Best experience.

The order arrived incomplete, requiring a replacement shipment for the fitted sheet that did not arrive until mid-July. Between that delay, waiting for our new bed, and extended international travel, we didn't meaningfully begin using the set until October. Once we did, it became clear that the Bone color didn't work for our bedroom. The duvet cover was completely unused, and the sheets and pillowcases were lightly used and in excellent condition. Despite this being a color-only exchange for the same items, Parachute refused to honor the original sale price and required paying over $200 more to switch colors. After escalation, they made it clear that they were choosing to stand on policy rather than prioritize a reasonable customer relationship. Given the premium pricing, this rigidity was especially disappointing and not reflective of a brand that claims to value its customers. In hindsight, I don't feel the product quality or overall experience justifies the cost. I won't be purchasing from Parachute again or recommending the brand to others within my network.
