I was grateful that this US Post Office was near the Indiana Convention Center where the Health & Fitness Expo was held, because it allowed me to ship out my postcards and other mail I had brought with me while in Indianapolis. When I walked in there was only one customer inside, but not in line though. I waited briefly before being acknowledged by the clerk who at the time was speaking to her co-worker. My visit ended up being in-and-out because there were not any other customers. As someone who visits post office locations regularly whether it be for Poshmark or eBay shipments, the clerk was respectful during our brief encounter. I was on my way in minutes after she presented me with stamps for my postcards and took them after. I am terrible at doing the surveys on the receipts pertaining to my visits, but rest assured, I always share a review based on my experiences. It had at one point reached my hometown then it was routed back to the Indianapolis hub where it's stranded until today. I submitted an inquiry, and received an email suggesting that I submit a claim for it. Unfortunately they wanted me to provide proof of insurance, shipping documents, etc... all those are difficult to get from the ebay seller. I find the USPS completely incompetent for losing my package and now I'm having to jump through hoops to submit the claim. I will ship UPS or Fedex next time.

Typically this branch has one person working the front. Sometimes there will be two. I personally don't think that's as big of a hassle as others, at least not the majority of the time. Sure, if you're expecting to be in and out in five minutes then sometimes you'll be disappointed. Sometimes. But waiting is apart of life, so give yourself more like ten or fifteen minutes if you're going at a high traffic time (lunch break, right after work, etc.) or any time you're going to need to be somewhere after in a hurry and you'll be okay. ;) I was just in yesterday, five days before Christmas, and the two women working were moving people along as quickly as they could (which was actually really efficient and quick) AND they were doing so very cheerfully. They talked to everyone - the person they were serving, the people in line chimed in if they had something to say, too. It was really a wonderful experience and not something I was expecting so close to Christmas when they're busy and people tend to be less patient. I had five packages that had to be weighed, address checked, and postage applied to... the woman working handled it all with me in just a handful of minutes. Swift and speedy! It's not always like that - sometimes the employees are a little less energetic, but who doesn't have those days at work? To me, this post office gets the job done just fine - and even better than fine on plenty of my visits. I purposefully choose to use this branch the majority of the time, so do with that what you will.

I waited about 15 minutes before I got to the front. The lady that helped me out was nice, and my transaction was really quick. I sent a package ground and it cost $7.55, she told me that was the cheapest. She pointed out on the receipt where I could track if the package was received, and a survey to fill out.

Gang, this experience was rough. For starters, they were super busy with a line that barely moved…read more(both inside and at the sec checkout kiosk). Second, the staff didnt seem very proactive in problem solving some of the issues that arose during our visit. I stepped up to the sec service kiosk and one of the workers was operating it (not so self service). She quickly tapped in my order of 80 postcard stamps and after it started realized that it was individually printing each stamp (with no folding edges). The process of printing each stamp ended up taking 20 minutes!! Keep in mind, this is after I already waited 15 min in line to get to the kiosk. I asked if she had postcard books that she could swap out so we wouldn't have to wait and she laughed and shook it off - "you're going to be here for awhile!". At this point, I was stick after spending nearly $50 on the stamps. I asked another worker who walked by if she could help and she said I'd have to go inside and wait in line (which would require leaving the stamps as they're printing...). Overall, a frustrating experience. It seems that this location could use a little more coaching/improvements. I'll be going elsewhere in the future.
