Alex is awesome - friendly, knowledgeable, patient and kind. I used Phil & Sons to remove a HUGE Cedar tree (I'm talking 13ft base circumference and over 50ft tall AFTER over half of it had already been cut down by the Army Corps of Engineers) that remained on our burned-down property after the Eaton Canyon Fires. We needed to clear the site in preparation for new construction. The process was smooth, and Alex even sent me photos after the job had been completed as I was out-of-town. We discussed what we wanted and he also gave us some helpful opinions on what would look good on our property. We also discussed an appropriate budget for the work that we wanted - straight to the point, very professional, no beating around the bush! Later on, Bryce sent us a detailed quote of the artificial grass that we wanted to put in and the drought tolerant plants that we wanted in the backyard and frontyard. Once we agreed on the scope of work, we signed the contract and scheduled with Bryce when they would start the work. On the first day of work, they sent like 6-8 guys to demo the backyard! They were very punctual and worked really hard! By day 3, they were about 90% done with our project! Throughout the entire process, Bryce did an excellent job with keeping us informed of the progress via text. He was very responsive and answered any questions that we had in a timely fashion. He was also super knowledgeable about plants! At the end of the project, we did a final walkthrough of the frontyard and backyard, and the artificial grass, drought tolerant plants, and pea gravel looked perfect! We also had some drip irrigation installed that worked perfectly! All in all, working with Bryce and his team was a 10/10 experience, would hire them again for any future landscaping projects!

After getting a few quotes for some initial tree work, I hired Santiago and his team to remove a dangerous limb over the garage and balance the oak tree that threatened the roof. They got the work done promptly and for a fair price, and, most importantly, they did it right. We were so impressed, that I called them back for a quote on a bigger project. There were several trees that needed shaping to reduce sail and let more light in, some that needed to come out entirely, stumps to be ground out, massive yard cleanup, and a pathway toward formal landscaping. Speaking with Santiago, I told him our budget, and he was able to craft a plan that prioritized the critical work while preparing the way to restore the yard with water-efficient landscaping. Clearing away at least 20 years of wild growth took several days, and a large team, but they got it done on time and absolutely perfect. One of the team was an amazing arborist who knows how to make a neglected tree healthy, balanced, and beautiful again. Every team member knew the plants they were working with. The 80 year old elm now looks fantastic, the 65 year old magnolia is putting out flowers again, the ancient oaks now have the proper canopy, and the fruit trees are putting out new shoots. The water-hungry weeds have been removed, and the yard graded and prepared. The next step will be to install drip irrigation and a blend of wildflowers and succulents to define the paths and entertainment portions of the yard, and after seeing the other projects Santiago has handled, we will stick with him. Couldn't be happier with the progress! Give him a call. You'll be glad you did!
