Juan was able to revive my neglected lawn and garden. I have had other gardeners before but none were as friendly, attentive to detail, and reliable as Juan. He provided me with a free estimate which was way more competitive than my previous gardeners and others that I got estimates from. He works on my lawn, garden, trees, sprinklers and also cleans our pond. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new gardener or simply to get a free estimate. Update: Juan and his small hard working crew never seize to amaze me with their professionalism and quality of work. I recently purchased a new home which was being consumed by trees, stumps, out of control weeds, and truly dirty backyard. I know I had the right guy on my side, Juan provided me with a fair and competitive estimate to clean up the entire lot, cut down unwanted trees and stumps, and make my new home a livable space. Within a matter of hours, they had filled a 40 yard dumpster bin and my new home looked better than I could of hoped. Juan and his crew love what they do and I can tell they always strive to satisfy my requests. It is for this reason that almost everyone on the block I live uses Juan's services for a range of work around their yard. He is an individual gardener with a small but mighty and skilled crew, I can see how many people may be disappointed due to not being able to get a hold of him immediately as he is always busy working. Juan (and Ray) have been our 'gardeners' for the last 3 years and have been FANTASTIC. We had bought a home with a quarter acre of lush landscaping to maintain. While not everything can be taken care of every week, they somehow manage to keep everything looking wonderful at all times. Juan comes weekly to maintain the yard. Standard mow and blow. But what stands out- he cares. Always moves packages to Side or back of house, suggests fertilizers and plants that may work well in garden areas, helps plant or replant seasonal or new landscaping. Helps off load orders of soil or mulch, finds references for work he is not able to complete himself -but mostly with notice will do extra to keep yard looking its best. Juan and his crew do good work however his communication as you'll read on here isn't very good. I caught him twice charging me for services he didn't provide and also twice were he forgot my billing slip. No biggie because mistakes happen... Heres my issue, Juan treats his costumers like his personal piggy bank! Yeah, he popped up a few times without any notification in advance. I would text him sometimes and get absolutely no response... I had to find another gardner because Juan just stop showing up lol! Again, with no notification at all. We called Juan last Saturday, because we were not happy with our previous gardener. Juan called us back within minutes, came out within 30 minutes. Juan came today to clean up our garden. He did such a wonderful job! Our garden looks amazing! Unlike our previous gardener, Juan knows what he is doing! Our garden looks like we actually have a gardener, very well maintained! Had Juan and his guy come out and do a clean up for my low maintenance yard. It had overgrown for sitting on the real estate market for a long time. They came in and cleaned up all the weeds, overgrowth, and pulled out unwanted plants. Juans a good guy and had the best price on the market. He did everything you asked and more. In the last year I've had to fire two gardeners. I've held several interviews, and decided to give Juan a chance. My wire and I are so happy we did. We are able to communicate our needs to him so easily, and he is very attentive. I wanted to have the perfect yard, and showed him all the things the previous gardeners lacked at. So far, he addressed all our issues, and I've never had to tell him things twice. First, I waited for about a year before writing this review because I have been burned by several gardeners in the past and I wanted to be 100% certain that Juan's excellent initial work would not peter out. That has absolutely not been the case. We have been using Juan for the last year and we are extremely satisfied with his work. We have a large and beautifully landscaped yard, with diverse mix of trees, shrubs, bushes and flowers (including palm trees, oak trees, hedges, flowers, rose bushes and bougainvilleas). In other words, maintenance requires sophistication and a lot of work. We have had other gardeners and none have worked out. In fact, we hired Juan because a lot of our (very expensive) plants and trees were dying. Since Juan took over, our garden has been thriving. Juan is always available to help out with new projects (like filling in hedges, trimming palms, or fixing irrigation pipes). Juan is drama-free and always goes the extra mile. He even checks prices and quality at various nurseries before he gets new plans, trees or hedges. Juan's prices are outstanding, especially given the quality of his work. We have even checked out some of the other properties that Juan services and noticed that "his" gardens/yards look far better than the others on the block. Juan's brother, Luis, maintains the lawn at my place. He took over from another gardening service that did poor quality work. Ever since Luis took over, the yard looks so different...it is immaculate. In fact, seeing his work for the first time, I felt "refreshed" seeing that the yard was so clean. It is clear that he is meticulous in how he works. He is also currently working on a landscaping project for me. I really appreciate the effort that Luis is putting in to make sure that we do things in the most economical way. He is very easy to communicate with and really understands what I am hoping to accomplish. He also provides suggestions on better ways to do things while always striving to keep costs low. read more

I called Juan's Gardening Service after finding him on yelp. All the reviews are true. Luis returned my call promptly. I needed my neglected and overgrown yard cleaned up immediately. He showed up right away. He spent the entire day working without even taking a break to ensure that it would be pristine when he left. He weed whacked my front, back and side yard that was a couple of feet overgrown in some parts, trimmed trees, raked leaves, removed debris and even assisted me with a couple of unrelated issues. At the end of the day, he removed an overflowing truck load of yard waste and debris in addition to my 2 yard waste bins for trash pick up! He definitely deserved a lot more than what he charged me. He is a skilled diligent worker and a good person. I will be using his services on a variety of upcoming projects! read more

Juan has been my gardener for 8 years now and I would highly recommend him. He is by far the best gardener that I've had. He does a great job and his prices are fair.
