From yikes to wow The pictures say it all. I had no issues during the process. Mitch was responsive to all my emails with questions and requests. My only regret is not doing this sooner. If you're thinking about it, do it!!

Love the look of my new garage floor. I get tons of compliments and my neighbors are jealous. Mitch is great to deal with - very responsive and answered all my questions. Great traction; grippy but not abrasive. No big box store kit is going to get you a product this good. It just feels better to walk on. Expect for there to be a lot of concrete dust after the first day. They have to grind the floor to get a good mechanical bond and the stuff goes everywhere even though the crew tries to keep it contained. Not a big deal, you just have to wash your windows and walls afterwards. I selected the Dakota Grey color and love it. No regrets.

See pictures...awful experience with these guys. The crew rushed through the job. They didn't tape or protect any walls, were very sloppy, splattered epoxy and flakes on the walls, knocked a hole in my drywall, and spread the flakes very inconsistently--especially on the stem walls. I also had yellowing come through the floors which shouldn't happen if they prepped the floor properly. After the crew left, I emailed the owner and told him about the issues and he got very defensive without even seeing the job yet or meeting me. He emails me back saying the floor yellowing was "absurd and impossible" and offered to have their company chemist sit down and explain to me how it wasn't possible. I don't know man, looks pretty yellow to me. He never apologized for anything, had a million excuses, and said the rushing and sloppiness was because they were busy with other jobs. When the owner Mitch eventually came out to fix the issues he showed up 7 hours late, no apology, and tried to half-ass the repair work. He just tried to paint over all the flakes on the wall (really?) and tried to patch AND paint the drywall hole in 15 minutes so he could leave. It looked like my 5 year old did it. I called him out on it and told him it wasnt acceptable and he would literally yell back at me. We went round and round like this to the point the repairs took 5X longer than they needed to and he creeped out my wife and she didnt want him to come back. After pointing out more yellowing on the floor and telling him I wish I never went with them, he asked if he could give me my deposit back and walk away. I immediately called the other company I considered to start with and found out it would cost more to fix all their issues and start over...so I was forced to stick it out with them. Ultimately, the job finally got done and I ended up paying full price for a terrible experience and a floor with multiple patches. I don't like leaving a bad review, but they 100% deserve one, and it could have been avoided if they did things right from the start. TL:DR: hard pass

Mitch was originally going to smooth my new concrete walkway for FREE, instead I hired him for our project.

Gerber responded very quickly, was prompt in coming out and telling me what he thought I should do. While he was there, I asked if they did stonework on walkways and patios as that was also part of what I needed. The work they did on the house and the walks was excellent. The team was great to work around, completed everything beyond expectations. Would recommend!

They delivered excellent craftsmanship and top notch design experience at a fair price. I initially hired Gerber to tune-up all my existing pavers, add a new paver driveway, and add some new path lighting. Adding the new driveway was somewhat of a challenge as the adjacent paver sidewalks were initially constructed over 10 years ago. So, Gerber was able to find a great match to my existing pavers and masterfully piece the new driveway together in such a fashion where old and new appear seamless. Amazing!!! During the process, we learned that his team also offered landscaping. So as the hardscaping and lighting was coming to an end, his team met with us for a design consultation. Both Kathy and Katherine brought some great experience/knowledge to assess our current situation and offered wonderful ideas to the overall design. We loved what we heard and proceeded with the landscaping work immediately. In the end, we could not be happier! And we look forward to using Gerber and his team should we have any additional hardscaping, landscaping, or lighting needs in the future.

And then they kept happening, getting larger and spreading throughout the entirety of the house, and we could no longer open the doors in the basement and 1st floor on the south side of the house. Alarmed, I called a civil engineer and had an assessment done. They ascertained our house was sinking, particularly in one corner, and recommended ~30 push piers around the perimeter and up the centerline of the house... for over $100k. I literally laughed at him and asked him who he thought I was that he thought I could afford that. I called a few other places and got questionable assessments, and then I spoke with Yos from DMV. What a breath of fresh air. He was personable and honest. He recommended we get a 3rd party civil engineer to produce a report with drawings that I could use for any foundation company - even if I didn't go with DMV. We (finally, after a loooong delay on the civil engineer's part) got the report and drawings, and Yos and his team began work in early January to install ~10 helical piers on the sinking corner of the house. It was a pretty invasive project, but his team was fantastic. Fast forward 5 months and the cracks have stopped appearing, with a number of them even closing. We are very satisfied with the work DMV did for us, and are particularly pleased with their honesty. Where one company tried to sell us an overkill solution for six figures, Yos was upfront and told us what we really need - to address that affected area and revisit others if they end up being an issue - for roughly a quarter of the other company's price. That sort of honesty and pricing earns a permanent spot in my trusted contractor list.

Five stars!

We recently installed French drains through Exterior Waterproofing Experts after getting four estimates total and I will say outright this company is the most knowledgeable of any I had interviewed. One of the owners is a hydrologist and he is part of Clifton Contracting. They brought up how you shouldn't do a runoff close to the street because it causes ice on the road which no other company had mentioned. He told me how they install legs in the ground and addition to the main ditches to help distribute water better. And we made a plan to do a u shape around the house with two pits underground that replace above ground stone pits we had before. They installed pop-up drain outs near the front and after two heavy rains I'm already impressed of how well the system dries out compared to before. They also do a lot of outdoor landscaping, patio work, outdoor spaces and more. I was incredibly impressed with them. Feel free to DM me if you want me to discuss who else I interviewed. Also now is the great time to do it because it's "winter" and prices are lower than when they would be during normal times. Highly recommend. Contact Evan at 571-599-0528. He texts too.

We live in DC and have a sump pump that exits our basement into our backyard. Over time, poor drainage, the sump pump outflow exit location, and a few other poorly executed landscaping design issues (put in place by the previous owner) rendered our backyard and side yards useless. Evan was quick to diagnose the root causes of each issue in each location and went above and beyond in his suggestions for remedies. His proposed solutions were functional and creative - he knows his stuff! His pricing was fair for the work scope as well, IMO. Santiago and team were excellent. They arrived timely and worked insanely hard. Further, they were so clean in their work. The hosed down and blew out the workspace after they finished each job in each space - this was very much appreciated. In addition, Santiago and crew went above and beyond my expectations in that they used leftover mulch to touch up a few beds not originally contemplated in the initial scope of work. Finally, upon final inspection, we noticed a few very minor items requiring additional follow up. Evan agreed to address each issue and sent his crew the same day to fix. I couldn't be happier with their work and hopefully, the pictures do their craftsmanship more justice than this review.
