Thankfully this Gap is still around. The one near my house closed down long time ago. Today around 3pm I walked in and got a nice, warm greeting from 2 of their employees. They were very kind and helpful. Right away they told me that they had some items on sale if I was interested. I thanked them and went about my day looking for a pair of skinny jeans and leggings. I found 2, one of each and they got me inside their dressing room. I tried both items, it was a bit tight on me. Prices were reasonable and affordable. I felt a bit disappointed because I liked them both very much. Store and the dressing rooms were very clean, & organized. Will definitely return next time I go to the mall. Conveniently located inside the mall on the 2nd and 1st floor. They have a lot of different clothes, accessories to choose from. Even for little children. I have had a bad experience every time I've come into this gap location. The most recent experience, I was shopping for my wife but I happen to have my kids with me. When I walked into the store, a team member very shortly told me that all the kids clothes were downstairs at another location. Okay, I understand you're trying to be helpful, and it just wasn't communicated fully. I told them that I was actually looking for my wife, and then I asked if they had any maternity clothes. Would I had originally interpreted as this person being short with me, turned into them being what I would call dismissive or at the worst overly rude. They told me that they did not have any maternity clothes, and then made a point to emphasize that if I did purchase any maternity clothes online I had to return them online, I could not bring them into the store. Now, I get it, this is clearly been an issue at this location that they are dealing with. I sympathize with them about that. But that's not my fault, it's not my fault that other people have had this issue and so don't take it out on me. we continue to look through the store, and I got several dirty looks about my two daughters that were with me. Who by the way, and this isn't just me saying this, are very well behaved. They weren't messing with anything, they weren't being loud, they weren't pulling down any of the displays. But several of the team members gave me not friendly looks directed towards my daughters. I get it, the service industry must be hard, but there's no reason to just be rude. And on top of all of that, I never think the selection at Gap is very good. Also, everything seems to be expensive, even though everything is also on sale? It's just not my favorite store to shop in, and the attitude that I get when I go in there doesn't help. read more

I stopped by this Gap this morning while walking inside Westfield Sherman Oaks mall. This Gap opened earlier than all the other stores and Macy inside so I came in to look at their stuff. It was the day after Black Friday so I think they extended some of their deals throughout the weekend. The workers here are nice and will greet you along with asking if you need any help. I stayed mostly in the men's section and looked at their jeans. They didn't have loose or baggy jeans so I didn't see anything I like. I also looked at other clothing item that they had out and the deals that was still going on. They had some nice things in display but nothing stood out to me where I made a purchase. read more

They have a good selection of pants here. I usually have a hard time finding my size, but I am never disappointed here. The prices are a bit high even with discounts, but the pants are usually good quality, so you can wear them for a long time which makes the prices somehow justifiable. The staff is nice and helpful. The fitting rooms are clean and tidy. Overall, pleasant shopping experience. read more

The vibes in this Gap are always off the charts and the service simply inspiring. Christopher went above and beyond yesterday checking on back stock and though the odds were low, he got ahold of the last jacket in my size! Decent Gap location inside Fashion Square mall in Sherman Oaks. The store is pretty big, airy, they have a decent selection here, nice fitting rooms. I can't shop on line for clothes, need to try them on and I need options. Gap is a decent one. Prices vary, but they do have sales, so that's great. Nicely arranged store, never had issues here with their customer service, had decent shopping experiences here. I came here Friday evening. It was dead so that meant more service and attention for moi. Susan was incredibly patient and helpful getting me all the pants I needed. Back to school means a whole new smashing wardrobe. What a joy it was. I bet there are some negative reviews when the store is busy and such. Ignore them. Don't go to this location, the management and staff are dis-honest. I left my wallet at this location after paying, came back after 15min realizing it wasn't on me. Fast forward to today I speak with ERYNN the store manager asked her what happened to my call back about checking the cameras? Her exact words "oh so sorry I saw it Friday but I was too busy with Friends and Family" wtf!!!! Kind of customer service is this. I literally called everyday. My wallet had a nice amount of cash in it $$$$ and I doubt any of them would turn it in, along with my credit cards. Anyway I say this to say that I'm an (African) woman and this is the treatment that we get. No customer service at all. I asked to review the camera and she said that I couldn't. My first time in that store I always go to Topanga one but I am glad I did go in .very good size store and very clean all that aside I picked some jeans and look around I went to pay behind register was a very sweet and very calm young lady was working she took my merchandise and start ringing me up and offer me the gap credit card and smiling her attitude made me to buy more I found out that she is the manager.people don't understand when you are working in the store doesn't matter what position you are in you can make or brake that day for yourself or the customer .today I went to change one item and they didn't have she offered me a solution she can order it for me to come to my home she did the return but she had to on the floor she asked another person to take over but before she left she explained so good and in detail that I didn't asked anything went to smooth honestly GAP IS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE A MANAGER LIKE HER. 2014 YELP 100 CHALLENGE - 92/100 Meh...I don't really like this Gap. I think it's just ok. They have one entire room dedicated to just fitness/sportswear clothing, and then a larger area for the normal clothes. The left side is mostly women's clothing, and the right side is men's. I only go to Gap to check out the sale/clearance section since anything at regular price is overpriced, IMO. This Gap has THE SMALLEST men's sale section! I couldn't even find it for a few minutes because it was that small. It's tucked away in the far back right of the store. I was really disappointed because they had like...maybe 10 items in total? It was ridiculous. Really let down. I ended up getting a bunch of stuff at the Gap at the Topanga mall because they had a better selection. Overall, I usually just avoid this Gap store whenever I'm at the Sherman Oaks mall. Not very good. read more

This was the best shopping experience I've had to date. If you've read my other reviews on shopping you clearly understand that I absolutely and unequivocally hate going to shopping malls, shopping and dealing with customer service people in these types of service situations. This experience turned my experience around completely. I came here looking for some simple khaki pants. You go to the gap for items like this because this is their staple and thats what they do best. Additionally, I recently lost about 15lbs so I needed to get some pants that fit! So I went in and I did a little bit of browsing. One of the best sales people I've ever encountered helped me out. She had suggestions on types/sizes and her assistance was amazing. She checked on me when I was trying them on and got me different sizes. When done we talked about running and keeping in shape. She was very personable and made this an amazing experience. Time and time again I have had very good experiences both shopping at this store AND with the products that they sell. How many times have you paid $30-50 for a bra that falls apart a month later? Or been incorrectly fitted at another store? I've had a pretty easy time finding sizes here, even weird ones. I'm in an in between size right now, up a little from my usual but smaller than my biggest, and they were able to find something that fit me. Further, they have a product that is nearly impossible to find: it's a high impact, shaping and separating sports bra IN BRA SIZES. If you're a D, you know that a compression style bra is not enough support for running or doing any real cardio. This bra is outstanding! read more

I generally like the clothes at Gap but today, my bf tried on clothes in the dressing room and one of the sales staff tried to clean his dressing room TWICE even though he just stepped out to show me the sweater he was trying on. one of the salesperson was very helpful though and there were major sales, which is why it has two stars. read more

It's a nice store with good clothes and a huge picture of Will Arnett. I prefer the store on Ventura Blvd a little more, it seems like I get better service and the store is a little more organized. The people inside are very nice and the clothes are very trendy. I'm a fan of seeing what I can get on clearance, sometimes its a very nice shirt or pants for about $10. I'm always waiting for some Gap girls like from SNL (Spade, Sandler and Farley) coming out and giving me lip. I agree with Oscar about the jeans. I got a pair on sale for a very good price and still wear them today, but they've showed their age quickly. read more

This store provides terrible customer service. I buy a ton of stuff at The Gap but decided to return a pair of pants I ordered 24 hours after I purchased them because I decided I didn't like the color and didn't want an exchange. As a courtesy, I washed them before returning. Well guess what? Because I washed them they wouldn't take them back and refund my money. When I asked to speak to the manager, she appeared to express a twisted joy that I violated a rule she could now enforce. Do yourself a favor and shop (and return) at another Gap. read more

Great prices, great service and just ok selections. The customer service was above par. As busy as they were, almost every employee that we saw offered to help us. I can't blame them for not having the greatest selection since it is that time of year. Clothes were scattered everywhere on the shelves and on the floor making it hard to go around in the stroller. We only bought 3-4 articles of clothing. In spite of these incidents, i still recommend this store if you are looking to purchase clothes for children and babies. read more

3 stars is just the boost for the guy with amazing customer service. The store is poorly laid out and things are hard to find. When I finally was directed to the dress slacks they weren't even arranged by size it was one big pile with sizes out of order. They should also considering offer a wider selection of short pant length options versus regular, average, and tall. read more

They have great clothes and often times run some good sales, however, this specific store's customer service sucks. I was in retail management for many years - I know what good customer service is, and this store doesn't have it. I'm not exaggerating when I say that everytime I go in there, the service is either horrible or non-existent. When I went in there yesterday, not a single employee greeted me or asked if I needed helped - and I was shopping in The Gap and the Gap Body store which is connected. Nobody in EITHER store talked to me. I was digging through the clearance bins in the Gap Body store trying to find my sizes and the sales associate was more concerned with straightening racks and shelves than with asking if she could help me. Nobody was attending to the fitting room. The time before last, I approached a rack where a man and woman were looking at t-shirts and the man, seeing I was looking at the same shirts, said to me, "What size are you looking for?" Turns out he was another CUSTOMER and was the only person who assisted me. Another time I went in, I was cashing out and thought to ask the cashier if the jeans I was buying came in other colors. She said yes but didn't tell me what colors, and she didn't offer to show me or have another sales associate show me. It's not MY job to sell the clothes to MYSELF. Like I said, IF you get service in this store, it's going to be horrible, otherwise you may not get any service at all. read more

This review is long overdue. it happened some time ago. I was standing in line to pay for my dress that I really liked. I was so excited about my purchase. The cashier called me and I approached her. When i was about to give my item, the manager (white lady) came and interrupted our transaction by saying she wanted the cashier to do something. When the cashier nodded my direction meaning she was helping me, the manager looked at me and just waived her hand off towards me indicating that I could wait. I look like a latina even though I am not. I have never felt that badly discriminated. My excitement went down the toilet instantly. It was a quick task the cashier was back in a few seconds. After seeing my face she apologized though it was not her fault. After I said I felt discriminated the cashier apologized again gave me 50% off immediately. I paid for it though I was really sad at the moment. I walked out the door and told my husband about it. He was so mad that he wanted to confront the manager. I calmed him down and we just went straight to the exit of the mall. i wore the dress once and I still have it but I didn't enjoy it wearing. This happened some time ago but still get sad when i see this store while walking around the mall. I never went back to it since then and i never will. I didn't want to write this review but I thought it might help Gap train their employees behave themselves better. read more
