Or repurposing some old materials into something new. Maybe you have other purchases in mind rather than photoshop suite, a space to shoot objects, a table saw, a compressor, drills, or a welding rod. Creative tools can be expensive... why not share instead of investing in something you will use only a few times? Well, you can thank your lucky stars you stumbled across this place, and thank the Mother/Son team who built the organization along with other contributors and volunteers. Lots of love has poured into Chimera. A dream come true for anyone who wants to take on new project or learn a new skill. Walking around I couldn't help but notice creativity fills every inch of the space, a 100 year old Truck converted to battery powered by solar, a fun frisbee game welded out of bicycle tires, chains and a stand... a two seater recumbent bike (maybe a burning man creation?) awesome sculptures hanging inside. I feel fortunate to have come here with friends to work on another friend's project. We spent the day in the space working quietly and met a handful of people. Including an inventor who was volunteering at the front desk, and a web designer who helps fellow makers create an online presence and market their work. Helpful, cheerful, and excited about what this space is for the community each and every person lit up with a smile when they talked about how great Chimera is. With entry level memberships at around $10 per visit, it's affordable for even a dabbler or someone from out of town who wants to rent an airbnb and have a long weekend of tinkering. Conveniently located near downtown, the community market (also a NPO, run by VERY nice volunteers) is across the street offering locally made food, and an organic food bar. There is a CVS several doors down, and downtown has a variety of restaurants and a whole foods market too. If you're still reading, you're clearly curious... Come learn how to 3D Print, or use a laser cutting machine, weld, sew, make jewlery, and then photograph your Etsy worthy pieces and have a great time! Need photoshop or video editing? They have computer stations you can use too. Such a great spot! Come on by and say hello. I promise they're friendly. The Scene: Artsy Fun, Creatives, Inventors, Co-Working Destination Rating: 9 Date Rating: 10 Hob Nob Potential:9 Strong Suggestion: Even if you do not live close by it would be worth the drive. GREAT space, lovely town. *** Note: If you have any tools that you would like to donate, I believe they can provide a tax deduction and the community would be grateful.

We wanted it to be restored, the leather was cracking, the brass was coming off, the wood needed care. We showed it to a few people who didn't want to take on this project. Richard was very upfront with the time and money it would require for him to give its best care. He took the time he needed to restore the desk. We had regular communication about it so I knew what Richard was working on. We love how it turned out to the point that we put this precious family object on the shelves in our family room. That way we enjoy it everyday. I would highly recommend Richard to restore antique pieces. He's knowledgeable, professional and nice to work with.

In addition to top-notch restoration, Rick talked with me beforehand about my expectations for the piece and the finishes I was interested in to make sure I would be satisfied with his work. He is a really friendly nice guy who is very passionate about his work. If you are looked for good restoration, I would highly recommend bringing your pieces to Rick.

You want someone who doesn't bullshit you. You want someone who is kind of like a Sherpa guiding you. Here is my personal experience: We had an outdated kitchen that was not up to code. I used to love to cook but I'd come into the kitchen and quickly wanted to step away. So I initially went to Home Depot thinking ok great they have everything in one place! Because I'm not a DIY nor have any knowledge in this I felt half way through that I needed a bit more direction. I work 12 hr days and wanted someone who understood what I wanted. But what's interesting about a remodel is sometimes it's beyond your imagination! Green Bay had a 3D model which they tied into appliances and helped to see how the kitchen would look! Noy also had tips and tricks and advice along the way. But here's the thing - it isn't always butterflies! In any relationship there is misunderstanding, impatience and a difference in communication. Noy knows his shit. You just have to trust that. July 6 was demolition. sept 11 we moved all our stuff back. Now I just walk into the kitchen and just stand and breathe and thank Green Bay and Noy for being my Sherpa to the Mount Everest I call kitchen remodeling. I'm looking forward to using them for projects down the road!

The bathroom was completely transformed. What started as a very dated space is now modern, clean, and beautifully finished. The attention to detail in the tile work, fixtures, lighting, and overall layout really shows the quality of their craftsmanship. It honestly feels like a spa compared to what we had before. They also repaired and rebuilt sections of our deck where there was structural rot. The work was done carefully and correctly, and the finished deck looks fantastic. A special thank you to our project manager, Ari, who was excellent throughout the process. Renovations inevitably come with a few surprises, but Ari handled everything professionally and made sure issues were addressed quickly and properly. His communication and follow-through made the whole project run smoothly. Overall, we had a great experience with Green Bay Remodeling and would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a remodel.

For the moles, they caught one the whole time. For the rodents, they didnt catch any and never fixed the problem at all. For the moles: They set a few traps in a small area. When I pointed to dirt mounds on the rest of my property, the guy literally asked: "Well how big an area do you want us to treat?" and so I just stopped using them to treat the problem and got my own traps. It cost them $85 to come out and check traps, and with empty traps, that really adds up. Not worth it in my opinion. For the rodents: I had an inspection and they set traps and said they would fix access holes around the house. Two major issues: -- First, they never set traps beyond the 6 inches where the crawl space opens. They never went all the way under the house or all the way into the attic, so they never found the problem. Did the traps catch anything? No, not in the past two months. -- Second, when making repairs they used spray foam, which the rodents immediately chewed through. At another area, they just treated a very small section, and the rodents dug a hole right next to the location they treated. Incredibly innefective treatment if you ask me. When I had them come out one more time, they quoted me an additional $6k+ on top of what I already paid to have someone rip out the vapor barrier under my house. I've tried to call them throughout this whole process but have been playing phone tag for 3+ weeks so took matters into my own hands. I've since had that work done for 1/5 of the price quoted AND the other company found the real rodent access holes while working under the house which they're fixing with copper wire and other solutions that rodents can't chew through, which is way more effective than what Atco did. An absolute waste of time and money using Atco. Do no recommend. Find another company that's actually willing to do the hard work and not charge you an arm and a leg.
