It's hard to complain when it comes to ice cream. The ice cream is served up quickly, however the line to order can be lengthy. Your typical ice cream stand, with a flare for flavor options, unique combos and additional frozen treats.

Peanut butter explosion

Great place for you and the family to get some yummy treats. I have been going for years. My favorite is the peanut butter explosion. Full of so many peanut butter cups!! Small cones are basically 3 scoops of ice cream. Yes prices have gone up but completely worth it. Go and check them out.

Such a large menu! I felt overwhelmed trying to settle on a choice but opted for a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of black cherry on a waffle cone. DELICIOUS! Tried a bit of the Oreo flurry, black raspberry and the fruit and berry soft ice cream. All of them were solid

We drive by McDonald Road a few times a day. If it's an ice cream day, we scope out the line rubberneck style to see if the line isn't 20+ minutes long. Some days we get lucky, others we wait 20+ minutes. It helps that they're open til 10 PM. It's easier to pop in after 9 PM if you're having that kind of night. If I'm going to Gannon's, I'm getting hard ice cream. Most places serve name brand ice cream you can buy at stores, but Gannon's makes their own and rotates them often. Coffee, peanut butter and Oreos are the ice cream trifecta, and they always have hard ice cream flavors that heavily support this habit. I recently discovered that peanut butter and bananas carries over into ice cream, so I've been banana splitting everything lately. Gannon's ice cream is the best quality hard ice cream in my ice cream rotation, and it's also the most expensive. We place crazy orders here, but two sundaes can run us almost $15.00. I guess they can get away with it though, so why shouldn't they?

Snickers Sundae

Amazing ice cream!!! We stopped here after having a craving for ice cream and wanting something as close as possible to us. Gannon's was the first place that came up, so we decided to give it a try. I can't believe I've never heard about this place before. It's located in a small plaza with other businesses in a no-thrills type of building. The layout of the building made it really easy to abide by Covid protocols while getting your ice cream which is always another plus. You can expect a wait due to the high demand of their delicious ice cream! I got the snickers sundae. I'm not sure if you can even call it a sundae because of how massive it was- it was served on a plate dish! I appreciated the creativity and sizable portions as I am an ice cream lover. I also appreciated the home made flavors, AND the use of gluten cookies to create flavors too. Overall, if you're looking for ice cream: you have to stop here. Perfect for everyone.

Medium soft serve. Very creamy

A variety of hard ice cream and soft served to choose from. I opted for a vanilla and chocolate twist. Their ice cream was very creamy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was great. Ordered a kid size cookie dough ice cream and my daughter said that was the best cookie dough ice cream she had ever had.

mediocre ice cream. $4 for this tiny cone and the ice cream melted really fast indicating there isn't a lot of cream content and it's more watered down. the flavor was mediocre, ben and jerry's is way better. i don't understand the hype with this place. wanted to try this as a new syracuse resident and it looked highly recommended but will not be coming back. Felt rushed to order as well and sizes nor flavors were explained to me.

So much fun on hot nights!

They do make a very good shake. Creamy and with lots of fruit. Nowhere around me that does a better one.

Cute small business with a lot of charm. I had to stop here since they had a special for Matcha. I…read moream obsessed with matcha and it's hard to find soft serve around Syracuse. The staff was very nice and gave quick instructions to direct us around the store which had a bit of a different layout. We went on no weigh Wednesday, which here it has 3 different sizes for that. There were a decent amount of froyo options, but notably only one sugar free option so it was a bit limited for my partner. There weren't as many toppings as other froyo places in the area as well. The back area has a bunch of free to play arcade games and a fun vibe, with a lit up netted ceiling.

My friend hosted a birthday party at Luv Handlz…read more The party room was a sensory-friendly space, dark but cozy with low lighting, lots of soft colored lights, and low sound levels. The whole vibe felt relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for all kids to enjoy. The staff was incredibly patient, and you can tell they truly care about creating an inclusive environment. As a parent, that meant everything. The kids had the best time swirling their own froyo, adding toppings, enjoying the cookie cake, and playing the free arcade games. It kept everyone entertained without being overwhelming. The unlimited photo booth prints were such a fun touch and made the day even more memorable. We celebrate neurodiversity, and Luv Handlz does too. The space makes every child feel seen, supported, and able to have fun comfortably. Parking can be a bit limited, but there's street parking and an additional lot across the street behind Chadwick's. Whether you're hosting a birthday, grabbing pizza and froyo with friends, or just looking for an easy afternoon treat, this is such a great spot. Fun, simple, inclusive, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend!

It's weird how you can live a life in fully devoted to getting ice cream whenever possible from…read morewherever possible and still find new places like this. I don't think this place has been around long at least, but we definitely missed in its prime this season. It's kind of tucked away on Nottingham in the Drumlins building. We tried to come here last Sunday. Their posted hours had them opening hours ago, but they were closed. We cried and cried, regrouped, and went to Carvel. They were open the next time we tried a few days later. It seems like a small setup and one-man operation, with a dozen or so flavors of Hershey's hard ice cream and standard soft serve. It's the last week of the season, so they were kind of winding down. I love Fall, but it's sad watching the ice cream places dwindle down once they've stopped re-ordering. And all the best flavors go first. I got a banana pudding sundae and added peanut butter sauce, because peanut butter banana. The banana pudding made a great sundae, and they put something that served as pie crust at the bottom. I wish I'd thought to slow down and see what it was, because it was incredible, but I ate it as quickly as possible. They don't seem to have a ton of selection on the regular menu (maybe they do specials when they're going full speed during the season), but I'd come back to try at least half the sundaes I saw if they're made as well as the one I had. My girlfriend got a milkshake and used banana pudding ice cream, and a scoop of peanut butter ice cream (I forget the name of it). It was an average milkshake she said, but the pb cup pieces in the ice cream and crunch coat added on top made it better. We threw in a counter cookie at the last minute. It was a lot bigger, but I'd compare the taste and consistency to a Wegman's chocolate chunk cookie. Soft and kind of chewy but with a super consistent texture. They're homemade, but have a less than homemade feel to them if that makes sense. We were extremely hungry and taking our ice creams home, so this was to keep us alive for the drive home. I'd have to see some compelling specials or be right in the area to come back here. It's better than a bare bones ice cream stand, but not enough to pull me in from the distance I drove to try it.

Nice servers, big portions of great ice cream! With two two-year-old grandkids who loved it too!read more
