The owner, Boni, has such a warm and welcoming personality--he truly makes you feel right at home. There was a live band playing while we ate, which made the vibe even better. And the ice cream? Wow. A friend told us about this place for ice cream, live music and a comfy place to hangout and read. We came and loved it! The place is such a cool vibe. It is a blend of sitting in a cafe, library and grandmas house. The ice cream options were great! Ishla gracefully served my fam of 4 samples til we found the taste we desired. Everyone who worked here was full of love and smiles. The seating was comfy. I felt like I had the opportunity to sit and enjoy my family in a private yet public setting. We did show up as the band ended but seeing the calendar of all the different live music they offer we can't wait to come back and see more. I have been going to this place since before my feet could touch the ground when I sat at their tiny metal table (literally before I can remember). I have been with it through various owners and it has remained my favorite Icecream place. I love the current owners as they are very kind and I love and miss the owners little me was family with (from at least 6 years ago). They have Aggys here, which include my two favorite flavors (minus my very favorite, one the owners from 6 years ago had- Blue Moon Vanilla) -Lemon Custard and the blue one. All of their flavors, however are incredible. This is one place I can complain about the price because what you get is incredible. read more

We were there not long after these new owners took over. Then they still kept a lot of the nostalgic things that helped make this a fun place to visit. It's been somewhere around a year since we were there, so I can't say whether that's still the case. They didn't have many kinds of things to eat, but still had a crazy number of flavors of ice cream including spumoni then. I saw that Yelp was asking for my opinion on the Gandy Dancer & thought I'd let you know that we enjoyed it, but think that we'll wait until the weather isn't quite so freezing to go back. read more

The Gandy is one of our favorite places. The atmosphere is so cozy and fun, with the live music we try to go as often as we can. My 17 year old son calls it his happy place. Everything is affordable and tastes great and the management and employees are very friendly. This is a fun blast from the past. A quaint shop with a variety of goods for purchase. The middle of the shop is a counter where you can order food, soda, or a dessert. On the perimeter are nooks where you can find book, games, and Knick knacks. At the front of the store was a stage and seating for those dining. I didn't ask but it would be really fun to have dinner while a small band plays on the stage. Glad to see places like this still opened through the pandemic. read more

They have so many amazing flavors of ice cream and they are just the cutest little shop. They have a library where you can buy books or just come to hangout with your friends. Boni owns the shop with her husband and she is the nicest little lady you'll meet. We bought ice cream and were sitting at the table and she chose to bring us water just cause she saw us sitting there. Amazing service, highly recommend! read more
