We were in town for a softball tournament and its a huge hype! The opening ceremonies and pin trading amongst the girls. They have a perfect stage with stadium seating, lawn seating and extra bleachers but nope they dont utilize the stage or seats. Im sure this place is awesome but for the softball event it was terrible and waste of location and can I add girls had to walk from 2-3 blocks away to get here to chaos being rushed and no leadership besides the great DJ. Great little concert venue. Very fun to watch a concert right in the heart of downtown Ogden! There are also plenty of restaurants nearby to eat at prior to the concert. It is a little place and some of the bands that play there are too big for this little venue. The restrooms are better than the average concert hall restrooms. They have a great vending area with shorter lines. The only drawbacks are it's small size. We originally purchased seating on the grass area but after seeing so many people lined up, we decided to upgrade to VIP seating which is closer to the stage where you probably won't have a good view on the grass area. Their security is more professional than other venues. I wish there was more shade as it can get very hot. I really liked this place despite the band being bigger than the venue. I'm surprised Ogden doesn't hold larger concerts at Ogden Stadium or the Raptors Stadium. read more

I love the Ogden Twilight series, and have been going for years and years. The bands they book have been incredible, and it's been fun to see the popularity of the shows grow over the years. I absolutely love seeing a concert at an outdoor venue like Ogden, and the energy that the Twilight series brings is phenomenal. This amphitheater is in a great location - walkable from the train station for those of us who are visiting from SLC, and right on Historic 25th street. There's a ton of bars and restaurants along 25th Street, and it's walkable and easy to access. The venue is a well maintained space, they line up their vendors behind the bleachers and even though sometimes the lines can be long for drinks, they always move pretty quickly. The ticket check in and bag check process is quick when you arrive. My qualm with this venue is that it's very difficult to see at a crowded show. I've only ever been here for the Ogden Twilight shows, which are very high capacity, so I don't know if every show here is like this. I'm relatively short, so seeing the stage at concerts is already difficult, but this venue is large enough, and lets in a high enough volume of people that I think it would be wise to set up some screens so that the entire crowd can view the artists. They have bleacher seating, but those spots are limited, and even standing on the lower part of the bleacher at a concert last week, I still couldn't see the stage. I can still enjoy a show and love the energy of a crowd, but it is a bummer to not be able to see the actual performance at all. read more

It's a pretty venue but the only way you can see the stage is if you are very close. Most the crowd can't see the stage.

Great experience going to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at the Ogden Amphitheater. Crowd was super congenial and respectful in the grass seating area. We brought our own chairs and had a great view. Others brought blankets and had a bit tougher time see in the band. Food trucks were from surrounding restaurants and were on point. Beer was available, but no wine - a little misleading on their website. read more

We usually attend a summer concert here once a year. Such a nice, small venue. Parking can be a bit tricky if the talent is popular, but you can usually find free parking if you are willing to walk. Tons of places to eat on historic 25th street before the concert. Restrooms are clean and facilities are up to date. read more

I wanted to love it but hard pass. Terrible venue to see a concert IMO. If you don't have a bleacher seat or are in the front row you won't see anything. Lines for beer were quick and plentiful. Lines for food were long and only had pizza, tacos and corn dogs (which is fine). The best sound was actually just outside of the venue. Next time if just sit outside and listen. Two summers ago we volunteered at the concerts - last year we bought tickets - took the family. Fabulous fun concerts. Lots of people, but a small open area. They do a great job. The only thing that could make it better would be the taco cart at evening or cupbop I'm excited for the North Ogden one to open- can't wait to see what is offered. This is a small venue- great for local talent and events, plus performers that prefer a smaller setting of 2000 ppl or less. It's really eclectic though... with high tech sound system on the one hand and an occasional homeless person sneaking over the wall on the other. Sound is great. Parking very easy and plentiful. Very near to other amenities such as worthwhile food, lodging and nightlife. read more

I was just here for the 2014 Zombie Crawl and Monster Mash. What a great event! The Ogden community has really impressed me with the level of activities they hold downtown around the 25th street area. The Amphitheater is a simple but well lit and constructed location to see plays and concerts. Iv'e been to a couple of events and every time I not only felt safe, but the sound and lighting were great. That is hard to do in an outdoor amphitheater. One big drawback is the restrooms are a mess and from what it seems have become a shelter for the homeless. Sprucing it up inside and out would add another star easily. Bottom line, if you have the chance to attend an event here, do it... Just hold it until you get back home. :) read more

We went to a couple shows on different days in the Ogden twilight concert series this summer. Don't mix it up, the music line up was fantastic! Very well performing popular bands down to pretty cool new local bands getting the attention they deserve. But the venue is just not very good. At least not for bigger events. Just a tiny section of actual seats the rest is a hill of grass. Which is fine as lawn seats can be an inexpensive alternative to enjoying a night of entertainment if you are short on money. I appreciate the opportunity. However, this venue over sold tickets because the place was disgustingly crowded! The lawn is for chillin; a way to experience a concert in a laid-back, soulful vibe should definitely be a part of the concert lovin population. Everyone started standing up everywhere, forcing the rest of us to stand as well. And not to dance (which is fine too) but to just get ahead of everyone else. Let me tell you, by the end of the night people were pushing and shoving because there were SO.MANY.PEOPLE. Totally ridiculous. They ordered bleachers for the next concert and sold even more tickets and if I thought the previous concert was crowded, this was people on top of each other! We, among a significant part of the crowd, left. It had us all wondering if there was some sort of fire hazard with that many people in such a small space. Other issues, they only had about 5 food trucks, not a big variety, and because of the little amount there were extremely long lines in all of them. The concert had a long range time frame surrounding dinner so it's not like you could eat before hand. Anyone who brought blankets, chairs, or strollers had to leave them at the door because they refused to let people bring them in. What if you are allergic to grass? And if you are allowed to stand up because of that, why not be allowed to bring chairs for people who can't stand but missed the sold out seats or couldn't afford them? They did have security guards however they of course had to leave a warning how they are not responsible for stolen items..except you forced them to leave their items at the door. We did look up a few tips, tricks and rules before going so we knew not to take any of those things. But I'm sure not everyone could. We should have been able to enjoy the music, see the bands, and dance with fellow fans and instead the overall experience was a huge letdown because none of that was possible. On the best note: Since we are awesome and generally positive people all those that left the concert enjoyed the music outside of the venue in the surrounding park. Next time we will not be buying tickets if one of our absolute must see bands decided to play at the Ogden amphitheater we will be listening to it for free just outside. But I'm not sure it's even worth the drive. We will be concert going elsewhere. Sorry. read more

Great venue! It's small and you get a great view from anywhere. We came here for the Ogden twilight concerts and they were great.

This small amphitheater is located right in the heart of downtown Ogden. It's a little bit smaller than other amphitheaters that I've been too, but it's still great. They have lots of concerts and community events here. I've been here for festivals, concerts, and even morning community yoga. You can check out their Facebook or website to see what's happening. They also have family movie nights but I haven't been able to make it to one yet! They have food inside, but there's also a lot of great places on 25th street to grab a bite before or after your event. Needless to say, this place is in the perfect Ogden location! Plus it keeps Ogden rad. read more
