This place is very cute. There's a lot of original retro diner furniture and decor when you walk in. There are an abundance of flavors to choose from which got overwhelming but these employees were very helpful when it came to any questions I had. I usually never finish my ice cream but it was so creamy that my will power was gone. I got the butterscotch flavored ice cream with toffee bits which is called butter bricken. (I think?) Great customer service, clean ice cream parlor, and great location with a beautiful view to enjoy while you indulge in your sweet treat. read more

Farr's has such a classic, nostalgic feel to it! When you walk in, you're met with friendly faces, and the BEST fresh ice cream! Years ago, I don't remember being able to go up the stairs to another area, (I could be completely wrong) but this most recent time, we went upstairs and sat to enjoy our scoops while we looked at all of the old fashioned candy, sundae bar, and old fashioned sodas available for purchase. It was only $15 for three of us, two of us got 2 scoops! The best prices in town by FARR (see what I did there? ;) ) and an overall fun ambiance that keeps you wanting more! We are already planning our next trip in, and we can't wait to see what fun flavors are being offered! My personal favorite was the Weber Wildcat. It is a grape ice cream which sounds a little unusual, but BOY was it good!! read more

Fun and retro scoop and soda shop serving more flavors than you can shake a stick at! They really pile on the portions, and you can mix flavors to your hearts content. Lots of workers means the line moves quickly. Just take a look at the menu beforehand if you dont want decision paralysis at the counter! read more

A long-standing (100 years) local ice cream shop with fantastic staff, a variety of flavors with fresh ingredients. If you see a long line, that means it's good! And don't worry - it goes by pretty fast. Good portion scoops too! read more

A classic Ogden establishment that has the look and feel it's had for decades but with an expanded soda shop. It feels wrong to go to Ogden and not stop for a scoop of some of the best ice cream in Utah! So many flavors and even when the line is long, there are enough people working that the wait is never too bad. The best ice cream flavor though is the black licorice. No where else in Utah can you get a scoop of this unique and delicious flavor. If black licorice isn't your thing, there are oodles of other flavors to choose from - from seasonal flavors like peppermint stick and egg nog to standards like chocolate peanut butter or cookie dough. You really can't go wrong! read more

I came here in September to introduce my now husband to a childhood favorite. We got married in Utah and I was showing him all the places I grew up visiting and Farr had to be on the list. When something works, it works and consistency is to be expected here. The ice cream was so good and so filling, forgot they did massive scoops. The service was friendly and they were so helpful going over the flavors, and it's still got this classic ice cream shop atmosphere. I'm so glad we were able to stop in and he was able to experience some really great ice cream. read more

Went here for the first time today and showed the employee this coupon I had before I started the order. She said ok you can use that on any cone but the waffle. I said ok, I would like two scoops in the sugar cone. I went to the checkout and showed the coupon and was told mine didn't qualify since I got two scoops in the same cone... I asked if she would just give me another cone and ring up two single scoops, she said no. I asked if I could add another single scoop cone at that time, she said sorry but no. Whatever if I misunderstood the coupon that's on me, but why not tell me that I wouldn't be able to use it if i get two scoops in the same cone while I'm doing my order? You know I want to use the coupon and you know what I'm ordering, so why not inform me while I'm ordering? Why was it impossible to be accommodating at all? Why can't you just say I got two singles and let me use the coupon? At the end of the day the ice cream was good, but but not good enough to make up for the lack of service. read more

Ok they have MILLIONS of flavors, (I feel like i'm in wonderland when I step in). They smell is so yummy and the place is designed so cute it looks like an old fashioned parlor. I'm a truck driver and I was stuck up here over the weekend, and I remember the last time I was in Ogden, this gem existed, and this time, since I had plenty of time to kill, I indulged in their ice cream, and I am happy that I did! They have TONS of delectable flavors to choose from- all mouthwatering, too! I stopped there twice over the weekend and the first time, I had their Huckleberry Cheesecake and Caramel Cone, served on a waffle cone. The second time, I had their Brighton City Georgia Peach Cobbler and the Havana Banana- all four flavors were amazing! The service and employees were very amazing, with a fantastic attitude and attentive. I was very surprised how the interior looked- like a blast from the past. Everything was well-presented and preserved. I felt right at home and felt relaxed, while looking at the decors and presentation. I'm glad this place exists for my future ice cream cravings. You will not be disappointed! read more

I don't live in Ogden, but when I'm there, I usually find very few sources for great ice cream. Then I ran across Farr Better Ice Cream in Ogden. It was a busy Saturday and the place was packed, but they hadn't run out of my favorite ice cream flavor, fresh huckleberry. The other three in our party each had something different, and it's always a frozen fresh delightfully different experience when you order ice cream at Far Better Ice Cream in Ogden. Cool spot near downtown Ogden. It's been around since 1920 and the vibe inside is super cool. We had two waffle cones- one German chocolate cake and one double dribble. The ice cream is pretty good. If you're getting some treats here, it's definitely worth staying to enjoy it in the back where the old fashioned soda foundation vibe is on point. Friendly staff. read more

Ok, so call me crazy but this place has the best ice cream in the world. I am sure that others will argue with me but they are the best. I grew up eating ice cream from Farr and it is always so good. They have so many flavors that it is hard to choose a flavor. You can get it in a cup or in a cone. You can get 1, 2, 3 or more scopes. What could be better. This place has been around for over a century. You can only get locally, in Utah and at some stores in Idaho and Wyoming. So don't go looking for it. But, if you are in Utah stop in and try some from the original But done blame me if you get hooked. Old fashion ice cream counter, walk up order your favorite, pay and get your ice cream. read more
