I have been here 3 times. There burgers are really good. I like how the fries come with the burgers. My first time here, I ordered the double with bacon, pickles on the side. The meat is super flavorful, the bread is toasted, the bacon is good and so is the American cheese. My new go-to order is a triple burger with double bacon and a fried egg. They have a nice selection of beer/wine/cider. There's plenty of seating, but if it's packed, you might want to grab your food to go unless you luck out and snag a table when someone leaves. I forgot to tell him it was for to-go but the bald guy that was bagging peoples order was ON TOP OF HIS ISH. There was a girl that was about to take care of it but he was like 'I got it' and a part of me was like 'F#%k yes, he's got it!' (Lol). Here's what we got: Ahi Tuna Burger - 3/10. Lacked flavor, most of the taste came from the coleslaw. Pastrami Burger - 10/10. I just love pastrami in general so I knew I was going to like this regardless. Gami Double - 10/10. If you had asked me about Gami Burger a year ago, I would have given you a rave review and you would've found me at this neighborhood spot on the regular. I was so excited to have an amazing alternative to what used to be Willie's, which had taken a nosedive in its last year or so, and I was regularly lobbying my family to go to Gami. It's sad and disappointing how much can change in just a year. Gone are the soft buns, perfectly cooked burger patties, juicy heirloom tomatoes, and general feeling of satisfaction before, during, and after devouring that burger. It took me three straight visits the last couple months to sadly confirm this truth. But the doozy was that after having dinner here on Thursday, May 14th, 7 people I know (including my two kids and myself) from 4 separate families came down with food poisoning after all eating burgers that night. Those that had the chicken sandwich that night were unscathed. If you're skeptical, that was the only thing the 4 families shared in common; my in laws went back to the Bay Area, and one of the families we only happened to run into that night and do not otherwise spend time with. The kicker is that when I tried to call Gami to notify them of this so they could investigate and handle accordingly (I asked for nothing), a) I had a hard time finding Gami's phone number, so after a Google search, I called a number that ended up belonging to one of the Gami owners (I only know this because he identified himself as such); and b) after informing him of the 7 people from 4 families that got sick after eating burgers on 5/14, he only replied that they had not had any other reports of food poisoning. There was not a single apology or expression of concern. Very disappointing from an establishment that had become our go to neighborhood spot. Actually, the real kicker was when my $120 worth of food for my party of 6 was ready at the pick up counter. When my MIL noticed the ranch she had asked the cashier for when we ordered wasn't on either of the food trays, she asked the man at the pick up counter for ranch (pretty sure he is either a manager or higher up the food chain - mustached and tattooed man). He told her she didn't order a ranch, and even went through the trouble of checking our receipt, before looking at her as if she was trying to scam him out of a 50 cent side of ranch. She offered to pay for it, but he ultimately took pity on her and handed over the 2 tablespoons worth of ranch. Next level service, really. This place is exceptional! Upon arriving it was no surprise that the parking was going to be bad but it was ok we parked around the corner! Gami Burger is an Order First type of place, and we love that! The menu is sweet and short, which makes everything so much easier when it comes to making decisions on what to eat. The prices were GREAT $13 for a burger fries and soda? Sign me upppppp. We had no problem finding a place to sit even though it was really busy. We went to Gami the day they opened and the burgers did not disappoint. The buns were perfectly toasted, patties were flavorful, cheese skirt was perfect, and the sauce tied it all together! They have several options for sizes and ways to customize the burger. We tried the ahi burger as well and enjoyed the big tuna steak and sauce. The wasabi was not overpowering. Fries could have been a little less crispy. Service was great given that it was their first day and are still getting used to so many people being there. My hubby and I were looking for a place to grab some good eats that had a patio with outdoor seating and dog friendly so we could bring our dog and we found our new favorite spot! You can grab a double burger and fries for under $20 and it's well worth it. They have specials on Sundays and you will not be disappointed. My husband got the double beef burger and I got the Lamb burger special and added a fried egg. We both got onion rings and shared some waffle fries. Everything was absolutely delicious! We tried the regular fries, curly fries and onion rings as well as the butter brittle milkshake! The fries were crispy and not too oily! We're huge fans of Origami, so coming here was only a matter of time. To start, I feel like I could dip these curly fries in the bbq sauce forever (go figure that the Origami team would create really inventive and distinct flavor profiles!) With that in mind, the burger itself has a unique flavor because of the Gami sauce and the Sunomono pickles. Apart from the structure of the burger and the essential ingredients, the taste is really dissimilar from a traditional, In N Out style burger. In other words, there are going to be times when I can imagine myself craving a typical burger, and other times when I'd crave a Gami Burger, but they don't really scratch the same itch (Which makes me REALLY want to try the Ahi tuna steak sandwich, because I know those complimentary flavors are going to harmonize like crazy). On the other hand, the shoestring fries are classic and exactly what I'd want them to taste like, like they took a solid McDonald's fry and elevated it a few levels. Staff was moving quickly, was very attentive, and was thoughtful at the point-of-sale machine with thinking of a great modification for a picky eater. We both had been to the previous diner that was in this location (Willie's) a few times, so wanted to see what all changed and what new food this new spot had to offer. Got there right at opening. Place was clean. Larger tables inside to appease bigger parties. They updated the outside patio as well with plenty of seating. Gami has more of a sports bar vibe to it now. Plenty of TV's all around and one larger one behind the bar. I ordered a single burger and my dad got a double. Both got curly fries and shakes (vanilla and marble raspberry) The burger was a lot smaller than I expected at the price we paid. If I had paid attention to the menu board a little better, I would have added lettuce and tomato to make it more substantial. But for how it comes normally, it was lackluster. My dad had harsher words lol. The fries were good. The shake was as well, though the size you get is quite small for the price (even if it is Gunther's!) Overall not a bad place or meal. But yea, if you couldn't tell by my earlier statements, the price for everything is my biggest drawback. Small portions, high prices.... Less likely to return. read more

I got very well done double burger with a wilted piece of iceberg lettuce, a green tomato and no pickle (called out on the menu) and was charged FIFTY CENTS TWICE for my mayo and mustard. The fries were simply too salty and too overcooked to even eat. My partner also got an overcooked burger (but it was a double) and inedible fries. To start, the parking is terrible and very inconsiderate customers have made parking spots that are not actual parking spots. This then makes it awful to leave when you're sandwiched in between two illegally parked cars. Secondly, out of all the staff there the only two people who were kind were (1) the gal that greeted us when we walked in and (2) the guy that greeted us as we left. The pickles tasted way too artisanal in that someone made them at home and brought them to use. Tasted too vinegary and not at all like a traditional pickle. First time trying Gami Burger in our neighborhood and had a great experience! I've been trying to make a visit the last few days but could see from the reviews and their instagram stories that they've been absolutely inundated since grand opening so decided to wait a few days. I went around 3:30 the Thursday before the 4th holiday and there was zero line and the food came out super quick! I ordered a double Gami burger but might go for a triple next time since it's only $1 extra. Burgers are a bit pricy ($13 for a double) but it does come with your pick of fries. I went with the curly fries which also has togarashi seasoning for some extra flavor. Personally I thought the fries were a bit too crispy/crunchy for my preference so maybe I'll see if they could cook them not as well done next time. The burger was fantastic. Loved the sunomono cucumbers and their house sauce. My partner also got the blackberry milkshake which was incredible. We ate in the back outdoor patio area which is a very pleasant and nicely decorated space and fenced in from the street. Staff were super friendly too. Great small local restaurant. The food is good, and the service is okay. I think there younger servers need more training on awareness. I got an emergency that couldn't eat at the restaurant. I have 3 meals and a baby in a car seat. I asked for boxes to take them to go. The younger server failed to include a bag to carry couple boxes. I'm assuming it's lack of experiences from the server part. Other than that, the servers are very welcoming and friendly toward my family and I.
