    1/2 pint Huckleberry Cider
    Theresa J.

After 12 years in this spot, I finally decided to stop in for a visit. This used to be a Beach Hut Deli and that was the last time I was there. Wanted lunch somewhere new. I wasn't disappointed. Aubrey was very friendly. It is almost like a small bar with food. Lots of choices of craft beers and the Huckleberry cider is tasty. I had the Turkey burger. The size is very generous, I couldn't manage to finish. There's three tvs and Aubrey says some come to watch the games, but it isn't a huge place, fyi. I totally enjoyed my food and my cider which you can get in a half pint size!

Outstanding hot pastrami sandwich and great side salad

We went back to see if the hot pastrami sandwich was as good as I remembered. Oh, yeah. My husband had it, too, and pronounced it to be "amazing!" He also commented on how good the rye bread is (it is great). Excellent beer selection. The staff is very welcoming and the kitchen is fast. It's a comfortable experience. Plenty of screens to watch sports. Lots of beer paraphernalia. We really like this place. You will, too.

A great little place to get a beer and burger. There were plenty of TVs in the bar area to watch the games. The whole place is decorated with brewery decor. Each restroom was single stall. The patio had multiple different table options with plenty of seating. The patio is dog friendly. There was nobody else there when we went so service was quick! Everything was great, prices for food just seemed a little steep at $16 for 3 tacos.

I love this place! The food is amazing and has great customer service. I love the Dukes burger! Its always cooked perfectly, juicy and the fries are just delicious. I also love their chicken salad. I highly recommend both! The Service is also great, they come check on you multiple times and are very quick to get you anything you need.

Was in the area for a baseball game and craved a beer and a burger. Went to Yelp and saw this place had good reviews so we gave it a whirl. Glad we did because it was delicious! The Duke Burger was so Good! It was fresh, served hot and flavorful. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich which was just as good. The fries were crispy with a special seasoning that complimented the burger. Beers were refreshing too! I tried the Num Num hazy ipa and it was so good! The service was really great too! I didn't catch the servers name but she was super attentive, friendly and offered a tasting of beers when we weren't sure what to get. I always appreciate servers going out of their way as it makes you feel more comfortable when dining. I would definitely come back again!

    Lemon drop and garlic fries

This place feels like a cozy neighborhood bar when you walk in. There's a lot of seating packed into a small space to include the bar and some tables. I think there is some outside seating as well. It's pretty full from about 5-7pm when I've been. They have a full bar if you're not in the mood for beer or wine. The loaded fries and garlic fries have an oil added to them that are off putting at first and then become addicting the more you eat them. Their ranch is really good and the lemon drops are tasty. The bathrooms were clean as well.

    Brisket Burger with Loaded Fries

Came in on a late Sunday afternoon and it was slow thankfully so we were served quickly! I really like that their patio is dog friendly and spacious, my pup had a great time getting out of the house! I got the Chicken Sandwich and it was mouthwatering good! So saucy and flavorful! My friend got the Brisket Burger with loaded fries and he very much enjoyed those as well! Service was quick and attentive, which we greatly appreciated since we were starving! Definitely looking forward to coming back! Thank you for an amazing first time experience!

While a little pricey, likely because of the location, we had our own space and a great selection of foods. We love that they seem to understand that some of the most delicious British food consists of the foods from countries they colonized, so the menu incorporation of the Indian curries are much appreciated! There was quite the array of fried foods but all were very good and crispy. The salad was also decent. The interior is a bit far and moody, but I think that sets the vibe. The staff seem fine and are available if needed. Parking may be a little rough given the location, but it's a fun place to check out and have a nicer meal in Old Sac!

I was also able to grab some ketchup to enjoy those fries. My burger and fries was delivered and there were more fries than expected. I focused on those first because who like cold fries, right??? The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. A standard burger build but done perfectly! Beer was cold, food was great and the ambiance is a perfect local bar. Great spot to go if you don't mind hunting for a parking space.

This is a funny place for me as I've been here more than a few times, yet I don't have a favorite beer or food item but not because I don't like the food or the beer but because the more things I try the more things I had to my favorites list at this incredible brewery. This particular visit was on a Tuesday and they have a great pint beer special on Mondays and Tuesdays with $5 select pints all day. On this day we decided to go with Weird is the new Normal-a West Coast IPA($5.00) & a Luna De Miel-a Mexican Amber($5.00). Both beers were very refreshing and went down super easy and I've added both to my "will order again " list. For food I ended up ordering Brisket Tacos ($14.00) off the appetizer list and a Pulled Pork Sandwich($17.00) off the sandwich list. I upgraded my fries to Garlic Fries for an additional fee-I think $1 but not sure as I was being treated that day. This is the kid of place where u walk up to counter and place an order for your beer and food then they give u a number and will bring your grub out to ya at whatever table u can find. They have both indoor and outside seating-I prefer outside seating this time of year. Food was delivered very fast-in under 10 minutes. Brisket Tacos were super simple but still wonderful -really soft tortilla with a nice chew and flavor topped with their famous juicy tender perfectly flavored brisket with onions and cilantro as a topper-they are excellent because of the quality of the brisket. 8.8/10 Pulled Pork Sandwich was the item that stood out that day-pulled pork was smoked perfectly and smothered with a perfect amount of their BBQ sauce and one of their famous onion rings is in the sandwich also topped with BBQ sauce. The bun they use was so soft and meshed perfectly with the soft tasty bite of the pulled pork. 9.4/10 I really do love all of my visits to Urban Roots as every visit has been positive-I've recommended this place to many of my friends who visit from out of town for a high quality yet casual dining experience & if that isn't enough of a recommendation, the day I visited was my actual birthday and this was the place I choose to celebrate-I love this place that much.

We also got the "Fun Guy" pizza to share and made the mistake of removing the goat cheese, which I think hurt it. If it wasn't for this "mission," there's a good chance I wouldn't have wandered in. I LOVE Sutter Street, but honestly I don't live nearby and don't have many reasons to come here. That said, I'm thankful for the mission and glad I dropped by. It's a super cute place and the bartender had a nice relaxed chill vibe to her. This is where I'd normally drop her name and give her kudos - but I didn't get her name. I thought her name would be on the receipt, but it wasn't! I assume her name isn't "Shift Night N" anyway, which would be weird - but that's what is listed for "server". Anyway... the burger... I liked it. I liked it a lot. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked (not expected or demanded by me) - but an observation that I toss in for comparison purposes. It was cooked to a solid medium, which is fine with me. Caramelized onions were standard - nice - but the tomato and lettuce were listed as 'optional' - and the bartender (Shift Night N) asked me if I wanted them. I opted in. The bun was above average - definitely a notch above the typical mass-produced buns often used elsewhere. I opted for sweet potato fries. They had good flavor. Personal preference-wise... I would have liked them to be cooked a smidge more. If/when I come back, I'll probably ask them to be crispy-er. Overall, thumbs up! I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try other things on the menu. #burgers
