I've had food from Sweetgreen before for work lunch meetings where it was catered by them but I had not physically gone into the restaurant. So my husband and I decided to try out this place for dinner. We ordered the "Shroomami" for around $14 and the Garlic Steak plate for around $16. We also got the Strawberry Mint drink and the Ginger and Greens for $3.45 each. We enjoyed everything! I loved my Ginger and Greens juice and my salad was so robust with the kale and the portobello and tofu. My husband did say that he wished there was more steak in his salad (see the 4th photo, there's only a small portion of steak next to where the cup of dressing was placed). The ambiance inside was ok but lacked customer service from the guy who was at the front. The only friendly associate was the lady, the ish I got her name- but she helped us with ordering and welcomed us- we told her it was our first time visiting the restaurant. The minus 1 star was for how "dry" the ambiance was along with several mosquitoes in the outdoor sitting area. We had only sat out there for about less than 30 mins and were bit by a few. Maybe the establishment can get the mosquito lights or they can spray for mosquitoes. I recommend trying out their salads; it taste fresh. And sitting inside if you're not mosquito-proned. read more

This is an update to my original review. I'm going to mention something that happened for the second time so I feel like it's worth mentioning on here. You can see my first review was excellent. The salad was great. Everything was fresh. I really enjoyed my food. Now comes the second time that I have ordered from sweetgreen and had it delivered. The first time, my order was kind of messed up, but the salad was fine, and so I went ahead and just accepted it as it was. But that time too the meat portion was very small. I just ordered another Goddess salad and added both steak and bacon as premium add-ons. The steak is another seven dollars. I'm adding a photo so you can see how much meat was in this add-on. It's really not the same as when I eat directly at the restaurant. And had I been at the restaurant I would've gone back and asked them to add more meat. Also, the meat was so dry, which has not been my experience at times I've been at the restaurant. This order was done through Instacart, I don't know if that makes a difference. I know it shouldn't but because this is the second time this has happened. I'm mentioning it. The rest of the salad was great. The vegetables were fresh. Everything was appetizing, but the protein was just not up to par. read more

I'll admit, I like sweetgreen better than both Urban Plate and Mendocino Farms. For a fast casual, café-style meal, you really can't go wrong here. Online ordering is a breeze with clear ingredients listed and easy customization. If you're vegan, allergic to specific things, or have any other dietary needs or preferences this is definitely going to be your jam. Especially if you're a healthy eater. The ingredients on the Shroomami bowl, which is undercover vegan as made, tasted extremely fresh and the portions for the price were decent. Well, except for the dressing. More was definitely needed with all of that delicious kale. Where they lose me is the parking mess during lunch hours. OMG this parking lot is right up there with the Trader Joes lot in East Sac (iykyk). I lost count watching soccer moms in giant Yukons trying to do 16 point turns into compact parking spaces. Madness, absolutely madness in this super busy, poorly designed parking lot. My online order wasn't ready when I arrived on time to pick it up, but the staff was working hard and friendly about it so I didn't mind. I visited sweetgreen - Healthy Salads, Wraps and Bowls in Sacramento, CA [2080 Fair Oaks Blvd] on Sunday, 05/03/26, around 12 PM. I was beyond elated and ecstatically excited to try this restaurant because I love salads and bowls! I recently signed up for the rewards program on the mobile app, so I could have access to the deals. In May 2026, sweetgreen is offering rewards members a $12 Chicken Tostada Bowl, which can be redeemed up to a total of 4x throughout the month. I was fortunate to also get 700 bonus points by ordering my first entree (500) and placing an order (200). I proceeded to go with the Chicken Tostada Bowl, because the name itself sounded tempting and delicious. I customized it by having organic baby spinach, white rice (instead of golden quinoa), raw carrots, tomatoes, cilantro, tortilla chips, feta crumble, antibiotic-free blackened chicken, with heavy inclusion of the lime cilantro jalapeño sauce and sweetgreen hot sauce, served with lime wedges on the side. Oh my goodness! The bowl was beyond flavorful as well as nourishing. I appreciated the high quality of the fresh, crispy vegetables and well-seasoned chicken. The sauces also complemented it. As a whole, it was a delightfully light and satisfying meal. After consumption, I had a burst of energy and my body literally felt good, too. The indoor ambiance presented a stylish, clean, and contemporary feel. The entire space was inviting. There was even an outdoor area available for patio seating. Overall, I was pleased with the visit to sweetgreen. The bowl was dangerously good. I will definitely be returning for my salad/bowl fix in the future. A beautiful store with good lighting. Food is decent. I ordered a salad take out and am very happy with the good packaging and how seamlessly everything goes. I placed my order online and went to pick it up immediately. Service is really fast. The salad tasted good overall but a few small things feel lacking in my opinion. The proteins are really salty. I didn't event use the sauces cuz the proteins salt my greens. I'm also a little bugged out that they just throw a half of avocado in there not cutting or slicing it whatsoever. But maybe they are going for the aesthetic? I would still stop by here and there but it's not necessarily a perfect salad place at that price point. read more

This is the 2nd "Sweetgreen" location to open in the Sacramento area as I recently wrote a review on their Midtown location that debuted in late-November 2025. This one is at the corner of Fair Oaks Blvd & Howe Ave in the busy Arden-Arcade neighborhood and is placed in the same strip mall as other popular eateries, most notably "Urban Plates" and "The Melt". Ever since this spot opened (which was on 12/19/2025), it has seen a gradual increase in customers, especially since this is in close proximity to Sacramento State. I came here during the afternoon on Friday 2/20/2026 at around 2:15pm. Since I placed my order online (ahead of time), I requested to have it ready to be picked up when I got there. I will say with the growth of food establishments in this area, parking has become more of an issue. Fortunately, Sweetgreen has several dedicated parking spots available (for pick-up only) that allows you to go in there, grab your food, and leave. However, if you decide on dining in, I highly recommend it as the interior layout is quite large, open, spacious, and well lit. There is a giant digital menu board, a dedicated pick-up area, and a public restroom. Since the majority of people order from their online app, customer service isn't as prevalent here. However, since much of what is done with a phone/app, you will still notice employees working behind the counter and will be happy to answer all your questions. When I arrived (which was around 2:30pm), my order was ready and waiting for me on the pick-up shelf. I took full advantage of an online-only special that offered their "Chicken Avocado Ranch" bowl for only $10.00 (normally $14.25). This bowl uses blackened chicken, avocados, pickled onions, apples, tortilla chips, white rice, chopped romaine lettuce, and drizzled with green goddess ranch dressing. Since I was okay with all toppings, I didn't omit or add anything to my bowl. Condiments such as napkins, utensils, straws, and a to-go back were also available. After making a quick 10-minute drive to a nearby park, I opened the packaging and was pleasantly surprised with how generous they were with the portions; mainly the chicken and (what looked like) a half of an avocado. Everything was fresh, filling, and delicious. I've been to my share of other fast-casual healthy lunch spots and Sweetgreen is usually always consistently good. All in all, the ambiance, reasonable prices, location, and overall experience exceeded my expectations. Therefore, the Arden-Arcade "Sweetgreen" earned five out of five stars from me. read more

Warmly greeted as soon as I walked in and immediately helped with ordering at the kiosk. The friendly and enthusiastic staff went over some of the menu, explained the "open kitchen" concept of Sweetgreen, and gave a few recommendations. She also said most of the prep work of the fresh veggies is automated and pointed out the machine that mixes the final product. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap that came with an extra side of dressing for dipping. After just a few minutes my food was ready, and I was handed my order. I didn't realize until later that napkins and utensils weren't included in the bag. I ate the wrap in the car, and although it was very delicious, it seemed like it wasn't wrapped very tightly, so it was messy to eat. But the chicken Caesar salad inside the wrap was really good. That squeeze of fresh lemon juice really set off the dressing and the romaine lettuce was fresh and crispy. The dining area was super clean and inviting. I would've given five stars for this visit for my takeout order, if not for their running out of romaine lettuce, which all customers were informed about. My initial plan was to redeem a reward, but with it having romaine lettuce, I was informed it can't have any substitutes, so I ordered a create your own meal instead since I was using a gift card anyway. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a water fountain that you help yourself to by the utensils and napkins. I love getting their power bowl which has chicken breast and avocado and really nice kale and Romaine mix with other veggies and sweet potato. I attended their soft opening on December 19th. I had never tried Sweetgreen before, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. However, I was pleasantly surprised with not only the ordering process, but how friendly the employees were and how quickly they were able to prepare the food. I ordered the Harvest Bowl and I thought that the flavors complemented each other really well, and the portion size was great, but the bowl lacked a little bit of flavor. I'll probably try adding an extra dressing or a different protein next time. The interior of Sweetgreen was bright and clean, and I really liked the large windows, they brought in a lot of light. The food is SO good! Very fresh and lots of healthy options. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. I always order online because I'm at work and this saves me time when on my break to pick it up and bring back to my office. However, this location does not pay attention to toggling wait times so whenever I order and it says my order will be ready in five minutes. When I arrive my order is no where near ready. I always wait an additional 10-20 minutes to get my food. It could also be that they aren't staffed appropriately for lunch but the online ordering system definitely needs updating to reflect accurate wait times to ensure they don't have a ton of people waiting in their lobby wondering where their food is (like they did today!) read more
