My co- worker wanted to try this place and asked if I wanted to order anything. I looked it up online and went with the honey steak crunch. It was very good. So much flavor and the cost was worth what you get. Everything was fresh and the pesto dressing was really good. I will try this place again. There is a great variety or entrees.
This is an update to my original review. I'm going to mention something that happened for the second time so I feel like it's worth mentioning on here. You can see my first review was excellent. The salad was great. Everything was fresh. I really enjoyed my food. Now comes the second time that I have ordered from sweetgreen and had it delivered. The first time, my order was kind of messed up, but the salad was fine, and so I went ahead and just accepted it as it was. But that time too the meat portion was very small. I just ordered another Goddess salad and added both steak and bacon as premium add-ons. The steak is another seven dollars. I'm adding a photo so you can see how much meat was in this add-on. It's really not the same as when I eat directly at the restaurant. And had I been at the restaurant I would've gone back and asked them to add more meat. Also, the meat was so dry, which has not been my experience at times I've been at the restaurant. This order was done through Instacart, I don't know if that makes a difference. I know it shouldn't but because this is the second time this has happened. I'm mentioning it. The rest of the salad was great. The vegetables were fresh. Everything was appetizing, but the protein was just not up to par.
I'll admit, I like sweetgreen better than both Urban Plate and Mendocino Farms. For a fast casual, café-style meal, you really can't go wrong here. Online ordering is a breeze with clear ingredients listed and easy customization. If you're vegan, allergic to specific things, or have any other dietary needs or preferences this is definitely going to be your jam. Especially if you're a healthy eater. The ingredients on the Shroomami bowl, which is undercover vegan as made, tasted extremely fresh and the portions for the price were decent. Well, except for the dressing. More was definitely needed with all of that delicious kale. Where they lose me is the parking mess during lunch hours. OMG this parking lot is right up there with the Trader Joes lot in East Sac (iykyk). I lost count watching soccer moms in giant Yukons trying to do 16 point turns into compact parking spaces. Madness, absolutely madness in this super busy, poorly designed parking lot. My online order wasn't ready when I arrived on time to pick it up, but the staff was working hard and friendly about it so I didn't mind. I'll definitely order again from sweetgreen, but next time I'll be sending someone else to pick it up.
Great place to get a fresh, satisfying meal on your lunch break. The longest you'll wait is in line to place your order at one of the three kiosks. If you don't want to wait for the kiosks, they have online ordering. The turnaround time is quick! I like their salads and protein bowls, but they can be on pricier side. I especially love how everything is customizable. The lime cilantro dressing is delicious! There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for large groups and parties of one.
I visited sweetgreen - Healthy Salads, Wraps and Bowls in Sacramento, CA [2080 Fair Oaks Blvd] on Sunday, 05/03/26, around 12 PM. I was beyond elated and ecstatically excited to try this restaurant because I love salads and bowls! I recently signed up for the rewards program on the mobile app, so I could have access to the deals. In May 2026, sweetgreen is offering rewards members a $12 Chicken Tostada Bowl, which can be redeemed up to a total of 4x throughout the month. I was fortunate to also get 700 bonus points by ordering my first entree (500) and placing an order (200). I proceeded to go with the Chicken Tostada Bowl, because the name itself sounded tempting and delicious. I customized it by having organic baby spinach, white rice (instead of golden quinoa), raw carrots, tomatoes, cilantro, tortilla chips, feta crumble, antibiotic-free blackened chicken, with heavy inclusion of the lime cilantro jalapeño sauce and sweetgreen hot sauce, served with lime wedges on the side. Oh my goodness! The bowl was beyond flavorful as well as nourishing. I appreciated the high quality of the fresh, crispy vegetables and well-seasoned chicken. The sauces also complemented it. As a whole, it was a delightfully light and satisfying meal. After consumption, I had a burst of energy and my body literally felt good, too. The indoor ambiance presented a stylish, clean, and contemporary feel. The entire space was inviting. There was even an outdoor area available for patio seating. Overall, I was pleased with the visit to sweetgreen. The bowl was dangerously good. I will definitely be returning for my salad/bowl fix in the future. I look forward to trying more options and having the Chicken Tostada Bowl again.
A beautiful store with good lighting. Food is decent. I ordered a salad take out and am very happy with the good packaging and how seamlessly everything goes. I placed my order online and went to pick it up immediately. Service is really fast. The salad tasted good overall but a few small things feel lacking in my opinion. The proteins are really salty. I didn't event use the sauces cuz the proteins salt my greens. I'm also a little bugged out that they just throw a half of avocado in there not cutting or slicing it whatsoever. But maybe they are going for the aesthetic? I would still stop by here and there but it's not necessarily a perfect salad place at that price point.
This is the 2nd "Sweetgreen" location to open in the Sacramento area as I recently wrote a review on their Midtown location that debuted in late-November 2025. This one is at the corner of Fair Oaks Blvd & Howe Ave in the busy Arden-Arcade neighborhood and is placed in the same strip mall as other popular eateries, most notably "Urban Plates" and "The Melt". Ever since this spot opened (which was on 12/19/2025), it has seen a gradual increase in customers, especially since this is in close proximity to Sacramento State. I came here during the afternoon on Friday 2/20/2026 at around 2:15pm. Since I placed my order online (ahead of time), I requested to have it ready to be picked up when I got there. I will say with the growth of food establishments in this area, parking has become more of an issue. Fortunately, Sweetgreen has several dedicated parking spots available (for pick-up only) that allows you to go in there, grab your food, and leave. However, if you decide on dining in, I highly recommend it as the interior layout is quite large, open, spacious, and well lit. There is a giant digital menu board, a dedicated pick-up area, and a public restroom. Since the majority of people order from their online app, customer service isn't as prevalent here. However, since much of what is done with a phone/app, you will still notice employees working behind the counter and will be happy to answer all your questions. When I arrived (which was around 2:30pm), my order was ready and waiting for me on the pick-up shelf. I took full advantage of an online-only special that offered their "Chicken Avocado Ranch" bowl for only $10.00 (normally $14.25). This bowl uses blackened chicken, avocados, pickled onions, apples, tortilla chips, white rice, chopped romaine lettuce, and drizzled with green goddess ranch dressing. Since I was okay with all toppings, I didn't omit or add anything to my bowl. Condiments such as napkins, utensils, straws, and a to-go back were also available. After making a quick 10-minute drive to a nearby park, I opened the packaging and was pleasantly surprised with how generous they were with the portions; mainly the chicken and (what looked like) a half of an avocado. Everything was fresh, filling, and delicious. I've been to my share of other fast-casual healthy lunch spots and Sweetgreen is usually always consistently good. All in all, the ambiance, reasonable prices, location, and overall experience exceeded my expectations. Therefore, the Arden-Arcade "Sweetgreen" earned five out of five stars from me.
Super clean. You order via kiosk and got my order pretty fast. The bowls are pretty large as I didn't finish mine. I added the focaccia bread and that was super fresh
Sooo incredibly good and fresh. I can get two meals out of one bowl tbh! Service is friendly and the seating area is kept clean. It's worth the price point in my opinion. My go to is the chicken pesto parm. Parking in this lot can be a little annoying, if you don't mind walking I recommend parking more towards Urban Plates as there's more spaces and room.
We were passing by on our way to the restaurant next-door and my daughter was so intrigued that she ordered from here instead. She got the steak salad and the 3 dressings on the side. Her favorite was the hot honey, which was not too spicy. We thought the green goddess ranch was a bit strong on the dill but still good and the vinaigrette pesto was pretty good, too. I was intrigued by the focaccia bread and the very special sounding rice crispy treat. Since the bread came out cold we saved it to take home. ( I toasted it and it was great!) The rice crispy treat disappeared so fast and we would definitely come back for more (though a little expensive for how much you get).
I ordered a create your own salad with blackened chicken, cucumber, cilantro, basil, spinach, crispy rice, white rice, and Green Goddess ranch dressing that I'm a big fan of at Sweetgreen! I love how you have the option to add their soft, airy, and savory bread, because this is complimentary and pairs well with their salad and protein. The excellent staff member was patient and helped me with how create your own works and even gave me tips on how to save money on my meal. I would've given five stars for this visit for my takeout order, if not for their running out of romaine lettuce, which all customers were informed about. My initial plan was to redeem a reward, but with it having romaine lettuce, I was informed it can't have any substitutes, so I ordered a create your own meal instead since I was using a gift card anyway. I plan to return to redeem this chicken and avocado ranch reward because this sounds delicious and this is currently my fav salad business! This restaurant has such a relaxed feel and is great for families also.
Didn't personally go , did a takeout order. The sizes are huge (not complaining). I ordered double protein and got so much chicken(also not complaining). I liked that you can adjust the premade items and adjust based on your flavor pallet. I also got some extra sauces and they didn't come at extra cost. Everything tasted so fresh, whole, and healthy! One of my new go to spots.

Been here twice now and very much have a "go to" salad place now. Seating inside is fair size but outside is so nice and plenty of room. Parking can be found but it is shared with other businesses. Worth the visit to try. This new place out. You will keep coming back for other salad options. read more

I've had food from Sweetgreen before for work lunch meetings where it was catered by them but I had not physically gone into the restaurant. So my husband and I decided to try out this place for dinner. We ordered the "Shroomami" for around $14 and the Garlic Steak plate for around $16. We also got the Strawberry Mint drink and the Ginger and Greens for $3.45 each. We enjoyed everything! I loved my Ginger and Greens juice and my salad was so robust with the kale and the portobello and tofu. My husband did say that he wished there was more steak in his salad (see the 4th photo, there's only a small portion of steak next to where the cup of dressing was placed). The ambiance inside was ok but lacked customer service from the guy who was at the front. The only friendly associate was the lady, the ish I got her name- but she helped us with ordering and welcomed us- we told her it was our first time visiting the restaurant. The minus 1 star was for how "dry" the ambiance was along with several mosquitoes in the outdoor sitting area. We had only sat out there for about less than 30 mins and were bit by a few. Maybe the establishment can get the mosquito lights or they can spray for mosquitoes. I recommend trying out their salads; it taste fresh. And sitting inside if you're not mosquito-proned. read more

Tried SweetGreen for the first time in SoCal and it was good. I'm glad there's one in Sacramento now. For those who've never had sweetgreen, it's almost like a chipotle and Panera crossover. Similar to Cava for anyone who's ever had that. Upon entry, they have kiosks to order at. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a water fountain that you help yourself to by the utensils and napkins. This location is a pretty simple layout, with the vibes being very grab and go or a quick order and dining experience. Staff here are friendly and they also have an automated bowl/salad machine that creates 80-90% of your bowl and the staff will top off the rest. It makes for a super fast operation. Warmly greeted as soon as I walked in and immediately helped with ordering at the kiosk. The friendly and enthusiastic staff went over some of the menu, explained the "open kitchen" concept of Sweetgreen, and gave a few recommendations. She also said most of the prep work of the fresh veggies is automated and pointed out the machine that mixes the final product. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap that came with an extra side of dressing for dipping. After just a few minutes my food was ready, and I was handed my order. I didn't realize until later that napkins and utensils weren't included in the bag. I ate the wrap in the car, and although it was very delicious, it seemed like it wasn't wrapped very tightly, so it was messy to eat. But the chicken Caesar salad inside the wrap was really good. That squeeze of fresh lemon juice really set off the dressing and the romaine lettuce was fresh and crispy. The dining area was super clean and inviting. If I had more time, I would have liked to sit and enjoy my food there...and maybe just straight salad, no mess. read more
Food here is amazing and it's very clean eating and I do love all the colors inside the plate. I love getting their power bowl which has chicken breast and avocado and really nice kale and Romaine mix with other veggies and sweet potato. I love how they let you pick up to three different dressings so you can try out all the yummy sauce. . The service here is green and they are really friendly and they are really quick with having the food ready. I love ordering it on the sweet green app and then the food gets ready in 5 minutes. It is a very convenient pickup and go or just enjoy inside the really nice environment that they have. . The Ambiance is free parking and inside is big and lots of sunlight. There is plenty of other food options nearby and you can even get really nice dessert next door. . If you are looking for a healthy option to eat this is the place to go to and I really do get satisfied with my orders and keeps me from eating other process junk food. I've been wanting to stop by here for a bit - they were slammed when they first opened so I was pleasantly surprised to still see a crowd but not a line. You go in and use a kiosk to order your food. I didn't get a receipt so hoping I can figure out how to get that - don't love that! I waited about 10 minutes for my salad and got a text it was almost done. The salad was just okay - not much chicken, lots of rice and I had to substitute pickled onions as they were out. I might try again but it was underwhelming. The space is modern lots of seating and nice outside area - lots of people and dashers picking up food and leaving. read more

I've been on my salad kick, so of course I had to try sweet green. I tried them on door dash and I was sad to see a few proteins were not available at this spot. Also, although I love the variety of proteins, bases, toppings, sauces...it can definitely add up in cost really quick. I thought the hummus for the focaccia bread was the creamiest I've ever had. The bowl that I created was yummy as well. I really enjoyed the pesto vinaigrette. The tofu was my least favorite part of it bowl. But everything else was mostly good. read more

I highly recommend that you get the app. I ordered delivery for the harvest bowl and absolutely loved it and then a few days later I went back and took my husband and we ordered for pick up. The app makes things super easy and you get a lot of points because they have a reward program. The food is fresh and I absolutely love the broccoli. Ordering and pick up is super easy and the restaurant is really clean. Overall, I highly recommend that you check out sweetgreen. read more

The concept is nice especially for those who like salads! I think my mistake was creating my own bowl instead of already getting a pre-made one. Their steak was a bit too dry and tough for me :/ I had steak and avocado, the bowl was $20. It was definitely something I could have made for cheaper. They prepare the order fast however! I will have to order a signature menu item and then come back with an updated review :) read more

I attended their soft opening on December 19th. I had never tried Sweetgreen before, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. However, I was pleasantly surprised with not only the ordering process, but how friendly the employees were and how quickly they were able to prepare the food. I ordered the Harvest Bowl and I thought that the flavors complemented each other really well, and the portion size was great, but the bowl lacked a little bit of flavor. I'll probably try adding an extra dressing or a different protein next time. The interior of Sweetgreen was bright and clean, and I really liked the large windows, they brought in a lot of light. Oh sweetgreen, we love you so! We came in for the soft opening and ordered two bowls. We had the miso salmon bowl (my personal favorite, I love tangy/flavorful dressing that has a KICK), and the caramelized steak bowl (my husband loved it so much!) my son really appreciated the ambiance and institutionalization of the restaurant. Presentation is crazy, whatever. What I can't get onboard with is the salmon portions. For a bowl that's almost $20 only two tiny pieces! The photo does not do it justice. Quite literally 3 bites. Would have made a great kids menu item. Other than that the taste was there so can't knock all the way down to 1 star. However, For a new restaurant thats all the hype right now, I would have expected a bit more effort. read more

I love this location so much and highly recommend it!! Food is always well-prepared and the staff is so nice. The place is also super clean and spacious. I asked for my drink to be light-iced and they forgot it. Although the ice in my drink wasn't that much and I was ok with it, they still gave me extra drink!! I have heard good things about this place so I finally decided to treat myself after a long tiring 13 hr work day. I was pretty disappointed when my order arrived. The salmon was cold, dry, and hard. The avocado was also hard and I could barely cut into it with my fork. The rice was a bit hard as well. I spent over $30 on this order and I barely finished a quarter of it. The stars I did give was for the focaccia bread, that was the only thing I ate all of. Next time I will just go to Mendocino Farms. read more
