I bought wii sports resort from there, and after taking it home, I realized a part was missing. It was 5:45, so I called the store asking if they had the part that I needed for the game. The worker said yes and offered to wait there extra for me despite them closing at 6 just so I could buy it. He was the best! I would give this place 6 stars out of 5 if I could. My girlfriend and I appreciated the good service.

I purchased red dead redemption recently and it kept freezing In the loading screen. I called them as I live in Merced and was not going to make it back out to Modesto within the 7 day return/exchange period. Diego said since I contacted and stayed in touch he would accept my return or try and clean up the disc when I came in. When I did make it in after cleaning the disc a scratch remained and he recommended that i try their sister store utopia down the street since he did not have another copy. I found it at utopia and ended up getting the zombie version and red dead two also. I went back to return the copy I purchased from laughing crow but asked if I could exchange it for some enamel pins and cleaning the discs I bought instead of a refund since utopias disc cleaner wasn't working. He was pleased with the idea and we agreed on that. My experience with this store has been positive and it's clear this business and its workers stand by their product and their word. They also offer pretty well for trades and not to mention, the staff and the owner are very fun to talk to about just about anything gaming or Pokemon. Unfortunately, the visit was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The storefront looked boarded up with wood covering much of the exterior, and it was so dark inside that I honestly couldn't tell if the store was open. Once inside, my girlfriend's son politely asked the employee behind the counter how much a pack cost. The employee responded with, "I can guarantee it's more than you have in your wallet." I was shocked by how rude and dismissive that was, especially toward a kid. That's not the kind of welcome I would expect from an employee. I then told him I wanted to purchase three Prismatic Evolutions packs. He looked at me and said, with an attitude, "You know they're like $20 each, right?" I told him that was fine, but the interaction left a bad impression. What should have been a fun and memorable experience for the kids turned into an uncomfortable one because of the poor customer service. I spent $100 on 6 packs of cards and i was going to buy more cards but didn't want to give them anymore business. I won't be shopping here again and cannot recommend this store based on my experience.

I loaded my wallet up and generated a QR code with a PIN. The store manager refused to process my payment he didn't even try to run the QR code. The issue was not a big deal, almost expected, but what was not expected was how much the employee was able to help. Feels great to finally find a game store that still cares more about the customer than ripping off normal people. These guys are great and the prices seem pretty reasonable, especially compared to other places. I don't know if he was an employee or the owner, but I just wanted to thank Tommy for helping me on both of my visits and made me feel like I found a new game store to call home.

I've gotten some NES and Super Famicom cartridges and they've worked fine. They also have a good return policy incase the game doesn't work. They got some tables and chairs and I heard they play MTG here too. Theres also a sitting area in the front with a bunch of consoles, maybe to test? They also have some cool arcade games that play the very nostalgic 8-bit sounds. If the place is closed when you get there when yelp says it's open, just call them. This is usually manned by 1 person and they might be out for lunch.
