I called this store they said they could order a game for my son just to come in. so i came in and tried to order the game for my son and he told me i could not have it delivered to the store bcuz he had no way to contact me so apparently this store is from the 1800 and doesn't have a phone or any email access. The store mgr said it could b delivered to my home but he had no clue which service would deliver and i can't have packages done to my door they will go missing. I asked if i could speak to his supervisor and he said he doesn't have one. so i asked or his area mgr or his district mgr phone number or email. I was trying to get a used xbox series x controller in the color deep pink. The price was $54.99 on the bag, $44.99 on the website, and she typed it in at $64.99. That's the price of a NEW controller. Then, the (not so) sweet girl behind the counter rang me up for $70.25 after tax. I bit my tongue and paid for it, except for the fact that the system waited 30 seconds before saying declined. Then, she made me pay AGAIN. My bank account was charged both times. Overcharged, both times. If I had known it would've been $140.50 for one xbox controller I would've gone to Target across the parking lot and used my student discount. read more

You can aslo register for gamestop pro membership which gives you $5 monthly to spend on anything and you'll get higher rewards and better trade-in prices. To be honest I feel horrible for the employees at this location. It's the busiest in the area and they are so short staffed it's crazy. There is always a wait to purchase things and there should always be multiple people on the registers. Stop stocking In the back and go up front. The store manager is super nice and most of this isn't his fault but if this company wants to survive they need to fix their biggest cash flow since their app and online process isn't the greatest. read more

This Game Stop had everything thing I needed and plus some games I didn't know I wanted. There are plenty of new games along with preowned games. The Sims 3 game that I got was preowned, but my Xbox wasn't able to read the disk, I did take it back and got an exchange for another game without any issues. This Gamestop is nicely stocked and it is very clean. When I checked in here, I was picking up a copy of 007: Blood Stone. It is currently on sale NEW for $9.99. A fantastic price! Here's the catch. I tried their "Pick-Up In Store" service, in which you pick out the game online, you enter either your Rewards Card Number (which I have), or you enter your Credit Card number, just to make sure that you aren't making a bogus claim. Then you can go ahead and pick it up right away in store. BUT. They gave me a USED copy of the game, and wanted to charge me $22.95! Are you kidding?! I just saw the ad online, and I reserved a NEW copy for $9.99. The last thing I want is a colossal mix-up... I don't know how they could have messed this up. This place would have gotten a 5 star rating, but with the colossal mess up with the pickup, I will only give them 4. read more

I know nothing about video games nor do I particularly enjoy playing them. But I am dragged in here on occasion so that my boyfriend can browse. The place is always packed on weekends and it's a tiny store, so that can get annoying. On the bright side, the employees seem really knowledgeable in games and are able to offer recommendations for games they think you'd enjoy based on other games you've previously played. This location has been great every time I've come in but today topped it off. My son's xbox 360 was purchased there around Christmas time and had stopped connecting to the network leaving the console unable to be used for online gaming. Receipt was lost and it would have been very easy for them to give me a hard time about returning it 8 months later - even though I got the 1 yr warranty, most places try to scree you out of it. I didn't have my actually warranty in hand and Josh (the supervisor) went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get a working console. Very much appreciated! read more

Typical small store with lots of new and used video games and accessories. A couple of guys working the registers and trying to help get customers out if the store so they can help other customers. Of course they were out of the $299 Nintendo Switch that they gave empty display cases up front. They offered a pre order bundle for over $400 if you left a deposit. read more

When they are forced to interact with you, then you can expect either complete apathy or barely concealed resentment, the latter often manifesting in inventing problems with your trade-ins to drive down the already laughable credit values. As a big gamer with both new generation consoles and a nice Rig for a PC I buy quite a few games. I've been to this store on a few occasions typically because my wife is getting taking care of something in Tempe Market Place and I'm killing time. However on this occasion I was trying to find a particular game Best Buy nor Target had in stock other than online so I figured I'd try GameStop. 1st the store is very fairly unorganized, with toys and little nicknacks are spread out all over the place that little to nothing to do with gaming, and it was so overly cluttered to check out no one knew where to stand, and by the time I was three people away from getting to the front of the line I had already been waiting for about 10 minutes while one of their employees is ringing people up the other is opening boxes, and stocking the already cluttered floor, and with over 10 people in line at one point, not wants did considered hopping on a register to help people so they didn't have to wait in line 15+ minutes to buy a $20 used game like me!! This was just today so this wasn't a Christmas rush my any means it was a just Saturday at 1130am. I appreciate they had the game I wanted and the $2 warrant on scratched games is cool so I gave it two stars everything else was an absolute fail. read more

I rung it up wrong".... apparently he rung it up as merchandise "1" when it should have been scanned under a barcode labeled "2"... then as he's scanning my BF receipt tells him AGAIN he can't touch the box....here's the kicker, in order to "return" the item to re sell it to us, he asked for my BF ID to scan it for some "pawn law".... wtf we never even took the box or items out of the store. YOUR EMPLOYEE RUNG UP THE INFORMATION WRONG WHY DO YOU NEED HIS IDENTIFICATION. Long story short, we think there was something shady going on. And said F this and right there asked for his money back. Went across the street to Best Buy, could touch the box we were purchasing and see its condition (new, obviously not some type of return) for EXACT same price. Buyer beware. read more

Went to pick up a game yesterday while 2 employees were working, only one was helping customers, the other was stocking behind the register. Me and my wife went into this store on 5/15/2013 around 5:45PM to exchange a xbox 360 that I purchased 5/6/2013 that RRoDed. Just wanted to do a direct exchange for same product. The lone clerk there, did not get his name cause his tag was covered in flare, blocking the name, took care of us. He opened the box, and while talking to us and the other costumers in the line(Store was busy), slide his thumbnail multiple times along the warranty seal on the back of the console, breaking it.
