I feel like they're a modern gift store with lots of plushies, toys and accessories for your favorite fandoms. The value for games seems just ok, but I'm sure if I were more than a casual gamer I would find it useful to talk to the staff. For now I like browsing, buying the occasional cute mug or plush and reminding myself of games that I might want to try in the future. read more

Excellent customer service. The worker who answered my call was very helpful and let me know that there were several copies for Marvel Midnight Suns available. When I went to go pickup the game, another worker upgraded my used version for free to the Legendary Edition. The DLC codes that came with the game still worked and I was able to access all the skins and Season Pass content for only $20. Best experience and value I've ever had at Gamestop. I turned my sons room into a gamer room, I bought my youngest son a PS5, and I got the GameStop insurance, his PS5 wasn't working so I took it to the GameStop off Maddson, and they were no help, they didn't have them in BUT I was told there was a event coming up in 2 days and they were having PS5's at the store the lady didn't really offer to help me, she called 2 different stores, she just took my name down and said I'll call you when I hear something, so I went and called this GameStop on Arden and she took my number down and told me she will call the west house and get a replacement for me, then she said she will call me right back, she called back and said that they are sending PS5's to her store and when they come in Friday she will call me and let me know when it comes in. Tried to return a game received at Christmas because it was for the wrong game system. Michael was very helpful trying to locate the original receipt since the return date had already passed. He tried multiple searches for me but alas the purchaser hadn't opened up an account/couldn't be located in the system. He consulted with his fellow staff personnel as well as finally his supervisor and they came up with an acceptable exchange for me. Ordered a ps5 from the Arden location for pick up, an hour later my order got cancelled , I called the store and they said "we don't have an order for your name or order number, your bank must have blocked the payment" the girl working was very rude and unprofessional , didn't want to help me at all even though I had just placed a $600 order. I call customer service , they find my order and say it was cancelled , and refunded my money. I then call my bank and they said "we accepted the payment but right after we did GameStop declined it on their end" I then try to place the same order for the same store and it won't go through , so I try placing an order for a different store a bit further away and it goes through , assuming someone at the Arden fair game stop wanted that ps5 but is too broke to buy it right now , then blocked any of my orders from placing if I could give 0 stars I would . read more

Have frequented this location a lot during the pandemic, and as others have stated, service is hit and miss. The first time I headed in I actually got pretty good service and was educated on benefits of Pro membership, which actually ended up saving me money that day! But ever since then I've had a different person each time I've gone in and each one seems less than interested to be working there. But none the less they were all nice and I've never had a bad experience there. They don't carry Steelseries keyboards and that was disappointing. It's just a run of the mill Gamestop. Fantastic service here. I had an issue with a game I bought from a different location so I returned it here . I went in thinking I would have an issue because I misplaced my receipt but the guys there were so nice , they took the time to track down my purchase and refund my money . I wasn't gonna buy anything else but was so impressed on the experience that I went back the next day and purchased some tshirts from them . While I was there another guest came in and game a Starbucks drink to the manager there and said it was just because they appreciated how well they treated their son. It's still pricey for the used games when I know how much they're re-buying it back as used. $9.99 for a game charger for the old DS, Not bad. So I was too late on review on their survey page, but I had to leave a review on this location. I usually don't shop anymore at gamestop sense the service doesn't usually seem to be amazing anymore. But when I had to play some Bioshock and had only a game to trade it in, and 30 minutes before GameStop closed I wasn't sure it'd be fulfilled. I ran in with less than 10 minutes left and had the game and went to the checkout. Oscar #416173 was my CSR and was the only one working the front with a line of 4 people. I do avoid this location during the holidays since they do tend to get overcrowded and, well, overwhelming. However, the rest of the year browsing for random birthday presents are a safe bet here. One day at Arden I walked into GameStop to look at some games and products. There was no one in there and only 2 guys working. They were talking to each other and clearly saw me walk in. They didn't say "hi, welcome to game stop" like every other game stop I've been to does. I was in there for 10 minutes and they didn't even ask if I needed help. A man with his girlfriend walked in and they greeted him and asked if they needed any help. The man asked if he can see a Nintendo switch and feel the joy cons. One of the employees went to the back and got out a new Nintendo switch box and opened it and took the joy cons out. I don't know if the man bought it because I walked out before that. First of all, they are not suppose to get a brand new $300 Console out and let the guy feel it without asking him if he is going to purchase it. Second, I was in there for 10 minutes and they didn't ask if I needed help. Third, they should greet people at this store and that goes for every store, no matter the age of the customer. I give this place a four star because 3 month later I returned a game and bought a product and the guy that helped me was extremely nice, helpful, and funny. The total of the item was $15 and I gave him a 20 and told him to keep the change. This GameStop is good but the first time I went, they didn't leave me with a good first impression. read more
