Am I happy that Gamestop is still around, yes. Has my frequency of visits declined in recent years, also yes. My purpose for heading into Gamestop has changed from checking out the latest games and getting deals on used games to looking for fun merchandise and accessories. I feel like they're a modern gift store with lots of plushies, toys and accessories for your favorite fandoms. The value for games seems just ok, but I'm sure if I were more than a casual gamer I would find it useful to talk to the staff. For now I like browsing, buying the occasional cute mug or plush and reminding myself of games that I might want to try in the future. read more

Excellent customer service. The worker who answered my call was very helpful and let me know that there were several copies for Marvel Midnight Suns available. When I went to go pickup the game, another worker upgraded my used version for free to the Legendary Edition. The DLC codes that came with the game still worked and I was able to access all the skins and Season Pass content for only $20. Best experience and value I've ever had at Gamestop. Thanks again to those two Gamestop employees for making my day! read more

Customer service is definitely not a priority here. Trying to sell an open boxed game as new is lowkey a scam. If you take something out of the original packaging it isn't new no matter how much you cry that it is. Accept customers are allowed to want factory sealed products and put your attitude away. read more

I turned my sons room into a gamer room, I bought my youngest son a PS5, and I got the GameStop insurance, his PS5 wasn't working so I took it to the GameStop off Maddson, and they were no help, they didn't have them in BUT I was told there was a event coming up in 2 days and they were having PS5's at the store the lady didn't really offer to help me, she called 2 different stores, she just took my name down and said I'll call you when I hear something, so I went and called this GameStop on Arden and she took my number down and told me she will call the west house and get a replacement for me, then she said she will call me right back, she called back and said that they are sending PS5's to her store and when they come in Friday she will call me and let me know when it comes in. She called me on Friday told me she took a PS5 and put it on reserve for me told me to come down to the store, I got down there she did the exchange fast and there was no issues, she was so helpful and her customer service was outstanding, I forgot her name but she is the manager of the GameStop in Arden mall Thankyou for the great customer service and going over and beyond to make sure I had a replacement quick read more

A year ago I got a used copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and a new copy of Nintendo Switch Sports. My copy of Halo was in pretty good condition there were not that many scratches on the disc. And my copy of Nintendo Switch Sports was also in pretty good condition it was brand new after all. And both the games were pretty good. Overall, my experience was pretty good. read more

Tried to return a game received at Christmas because it was for the wrong game system. Michael was very helpful trying to locate the original receipt since the return date had already passed. He tried multiple searches for me but alas the purchaser hadn't opened up an account/couldn't be located in the system. He consulted with his fellow staff personnel as well as finally his supervisor and they came up with an acceptable exchange for me. I really appreciated the time and the effort Michael and the other employees at the Arden Gamestop spent trying to help me. Returning incorrect Christmas gifts is such a pain but Michael was very patient and helpful. Thank you!!! read more

Have frequented this location a lot during the pandemic, and as others have stated, service is hit and miss. The first time I headed in I actually got pretty good service and was educated on benefits of Pro membership, which actually ended up saving me money that day! But ever since then I've had a different person each time I've gone in and each one seems less than interested to be working there. But none the less they were all nice and I've never had a bad experience there. They don't carry Steelseries keyboards and that was disappointing. It's just a run of the mill Gamestop. Service and employees with personality make Department stores special and sadly this one needs a boost in both areas. read more

Ordered a ps5 from the Arden location for pick up, an hour later my order got cancelled , I called the store and they said "we don't have an order for your name or order number, your bank must have blocked the payment" the girl working was very rude and unprofessional , didn't want to help me at all even though I had just placed a $600 order. I call customer service , they find my order and say it was cancelled , and refunded my money. I then call my bank and they said "we accepted the payment but right after we did GameStop declined it on their end" I then try to place the same order for the same store and it won't go through , so I try placing an order for a different store a bit further away and it goes through , assuming someone at the Arden fair game stop wanted that ps5 but is too broke to buy it right now , then blocked any of my orders from placing if I could give 0 stars I would . read more

I walking around outside the mall then decide to go inside to buy a game or something in game stop for my boyfriend's birthday next year. well I saw these kids walking around in front of the store but when they walked in the store worked was mean glaring them as if they going to steal their items. I lying to the worker telling her I'm babysitting these kids she goes beside the counter still staring rudely at these young teen boys. the teenager boys thought I was following them & got me kicked out the mall over a lie .When I was just trying to do was buy a toy for my collection & for my boyfriend. Be warn if your teenage don't go in there without your parents or the workers will start drama like they did to me. the workers are rude please replace your workers or just be relaxed not glaring at your customers. read more

It's a fun place to stop and browse when you have the time. I don't shop here as often but you can find good deals around after the holidays. Back in the days the 3 for $15 use to rock my world. I take advantage of the deal for preowned games when given the chance.Trade in's are not worth the time. Most games depreciate in value so its best to wait a year or later. You are best getting most your games at either a specialty place or online. read more

Poor customer service. The store Lead was an asian guy who made it very clear to me he did not want to help. There was nobody in the store so I can understand why he was so pressed. Wow... All the employees who passed us by asked if we needed help or had a question. Even the guy with two handfuls of trash and some boxes tucked under his arms to take out. Not many mall employees would do that now-a-days. Amazed. Lots of used games I was looking for, for our Wii, since the Wii will be obsolete now with the Wii U. It's still pricey for the used games when I know how much they're re-buying it back as used. $9.99 for a game charger for the old DS, Not bad. Major thumbs up for all the little children running around and no ticked-off employees when the parents are no where to be found. These guys have a high tolerance for loud and excited children. :) read more

Fantastic service here. I had an issue with a game I bought from a different location so I returned it here . I went in thinking I would have an issue because I misplaced my receipt but the guys there were so nice , they took the time to track down my purchase and refund my money . I wasn't gonna buy anything else but was so impressed on the experience that I went back the next day and purchased some tshirts from them . While I was there another guest came in and game a Starbucks drink to the manager there and said it was just because they appreciated how well they treated their son. I don't buy many video games but this is my location of choice and will stop in anytime I'm t the mall read more

I don't know if they are short on staff, or the word is out that this is the place to fence your stolen game consoles, but the line takes forever. Three people in line are selling back game machines, simpler to drive to a different stire then make a simple purchase. read more

If I could I would not give em a star, customer service is straight garbage. I will not be purchasing no more games from them. I purchase smash bros, and a 3 month online subscription. I had them put the code on my receipt, and I lost my receipt before I can redeem my subscription. When I went back to try and get a reprint of my receipt they shut me down right away and didnt even look to help me out. I will not be shopping at this location again. read more

So I was too late on review on their survey page, but I had to leave a review on this location. I usually don't shop anymore at gamestop sense the service doesn't usually seem to be amazing anymore. But when I had to play some Bioshock and had only a game to trade it in, and 30 minutes before GameStop closed I wasn't sure it'd be fulfilled. I ran in with less than 10 minutes left and had the game and went to the checkout. Oscar #416173 was my CSR and was the only one working the front with a line of 4 people. I get to the front with only a few minutes to close and Oscar not only helped me with a smile on his face with the trade in. He also helped me reach the total, that my trade it wasn't reaching. Oscar your awesome and my bad it toook so long read more

A decent location to shop. Staff is always friendly and eager to help the times I have gone in. I do avoid this location during the holidays since they do tend to get overcrowded and, well, overwhelming. However, the rest of the year browsing for random birthday presents are a safe bet here. Staff are knowledgeable, not pushy, and understand the balance between selling product and being sociable. read more

The custumer service is only so-so. However, they have supplied me with my COD fix year after year...for that, we thank you.

Came in looking for a specific type of game but I'm a bit old school when it comes to games. Think Zelda on NES... Haley was busy stocking, of all things, Zelda for DS when I approached her. She didn't hesitate to stop what she was doing and made recommendations on games and showed them to me. I now have a list of games I want. I walked away with Far Cry Primal but many other games are on the horizon. Thank you Haley!! As a female walking into unknown terrain, you made the experience so enjoyable. Keep up the great work! read more

One day at Arden I walked into GameStop to look at some games and products. There was no one in there and only 2 guys working. They were talking to each other and clearly saw me walk in. They didn't say "hi, welcome to game stop" like every other game stop I've been to does. I was in there for 10 minutes and they didn't even ask if I needed help. A man with his girlfriend walked in and they greeted him and asked if they needed any help. The man asked if he can see a Nintendo switch and feel the joy cons. One of the employees went to the back and got out a new Nintendo switch box and opened it and took the joy cons out. I don't know if the man bought it because I walked out before that. First of all, they are not suppose to get a brand new $300 Console out and let the guy feel it without asking him if he is going to purchase it. Second, I was in there for 10 minutes and they didn't ask if I needed help. Third, they should greet people at this store and that goes for every store, no matter the age of the customer. I give this place a four star because 3 month later I returned a game and bought a product and the guy that helped me was extremely nice, helpful, and funny. The total of the item was $15 and I gave him a 20 and told him to keep the change. This GameStop is good but the first time I went, they didn't leave me with a good first impression. read more
