They have a great selection of new/used retro and modern consoles. And even bin of "As-is" consoles and gadgets which is why I keep coming back so much! But I felt incredibly inclined to make this review for 1 particular reason because it's something that needs to be acknowledged and I hope someone in the company sees this so they're aware and can help correct this issue. The quality control absolutely sucks here, I've purchased 2 items now this week where they were defective/didn't work. Now I understand buying pre owned you are more at risk for defects or damage. HOWEVER, I shouldn't be paying $40+ for a used PS4 controller with dirt and Cheeto marks on the outer shell. Takes 2 seconds to wipe that off for a paying customer. Secondly, I get home after purchasing this controller. Plug it in and it's drifting like crazy, just scrolls and scrolls and scrolls. It's like the staff team just accepted it from the previous owner and threw it on a shelf for the next lucky person to deal with it. A few days prior I bought a PS1 game from this store, excitedly got home to turn on my console and fire the game up to find out the game was damaged beyond repair. It would boot to the loading screen and that's it. Now, I know I should've checked this prior to leaving so I'll take that loss. BUT, they should be aware of what they are selling to the paying patrons of the store. I should not have to double check/do their work for them. I should be rest assured I'm getting quality used items/games from this store. If you own this company or you work for this company, please do us all a favor and pay more attention to the quality control of your items. If this happens to me again I'll be forced to stop supporting your business. These are incredibly easy things to fix. I shouldn't be going out of my way to consistently bring back defective items. It takes a few minutes to assure these items are working when put out on a shelve for a premium cost such as the $49 used PS4 controller. If this gets acknowledged I will adjust the current rating. Not a fan of corporate Game Stop. They underpay their employees. They sell used games as new games…read more They charge you ridiculous shipping prices. They pay too little to buy your games back. They push nonsensical reward programs on you. They cancel pre-orders at random. But, unfortunately, they have exclusives that you can only get at their store. This is my first time dealing with this store and I pre-ordered some exclusive amiibos months ago. The release date came and went and these got delayed, and then the delay turned into a Game Stop never sent them at all. This happens almost every time I pre-order anything with Game Stop. It's frustrating. It's expected. However, this store in particular has some great employees currently. Brandon called me to inform me of what was going on with the amiibos, and ultimately ended up offering to give me the ones he had pre-ordered for himself because corporate didn't come through on the stock for the pre-orders for customers. I wouldn't have expected this in a million years and I appreciate it. Both him and the other woman that works at this location are very helpful, given the limitations Game Stop places on them. Game Stop's shortcomings are well documented at this point, but if you have to go to a Game Stop, the employees at this location are great. If corporate reads these, follow through on your pre-orders, especially if you have exclusives. It's asinine that you bid on contracts for exclusives and then don't provide enough for people that want them, even if they pre-order. I sincerely hope Brandon was able to get these for himself as well and hope GS sends him the ones intended for my pre-order at some point.

No one offered us any help. Then my younger sister asked if we can look at preowned remotes near the counter. BEN sarcastically says "what? yeah you can but don't touch it". He was rude. So rude we had to leave and not purchase a controller and game we came to buy. My younger sister told me what happened so I came back to ask for the manager and he said that he's the manager. It's insane that you promoted someone with lack of customer service to be a manager. This is retail, I would hope that whoever was in this position understands the job description of the role of a manager. This whole encounter was embarrassing and disrespectful.
