Very cool selection for those 2 things. And it happens we WERE there for Japanese models so we were perfectly happy. Large selection of model-making supplies. Definitely would go here before we order supplies online in the future. Yes, the greeting was half-hearted - but both people there did greet us and what do you expect - they were busy talking about hobby stuff :) It's a bit dated in terms of the space, seems a bit tired, but I think "in this economy" they are presenting themselves reasonably. They had some great sales. Half off prices of some model kits right now.

Went to Pawn 1 in Federal Way looking for a weed trimmer for my father-in-law's landscaping work…read more Before purchasing, we specifically asked MULTIPLE times about the return policy because used gas equipment can have hidden problems. We were told by staff that: - if the machine already had gas, we could test-start it outside, - if it had NO gas, we had 24 hours to bring it back for a refund if it didn't work. We confirmed this several times with different employees before purchasing. We took the trimmer home, bought gas, and discovered it did not work at all. When we returned the next day, within the 24-hour window we were told about, a different employee immediately gave attitude and claimed they "don't do returns on gas engines." After explaining what we were told the day before, they switched from "no return" to "store credit only," even though nobody mentioned store credit during the purchase. The employee then highlighted the receipt policy AFTER the fact, despite the fact that we relied on what their staff verbally told us BEFORE purchase. We ended up being forced into another trimmer and had to pay extra money on top of it. To top it off, after the second transaction, the employee told me: "I don't want to see you again." Likewise. I understand pawn shops sell items as-is. That's not the issue. The issue is employees giving customers one set of terms before purchase, then changing the story afterward and treating customers poorly for expecting them to honor what they said. Be careful buying gas equipment here unless you're fully prepared to eat the loss.
