They offer more for pawn loans than when I've been to Cash America. I haven't had an issue with Pawn 1. The customer service is great

My Dad and I have been going to Cascade since we moved to the Auburn area, around 10 years. As many…read moretimes as I've come in and made a purchase, I've come in at least 3 times and bought nothing. I've never been made to feel unwanted when I don't spend money, which is a rare feat for a pawn shop. Usually I stop in for the excellent deals on blurays (I can't believe I just gave away my secret movie store), and I always check the stock on firearms because there's always new stuff. I've bought a lot of guns, and the times I've bought from Cascade have been smooth and hassle free. These guys know their stuff, guitars, gold, tools, and firearms. They don't seem to sell it unless they can tell me all about it, except for video games, no one knows more than me about video games. Any time you have a store where customers can sell things, you will get crazies. You will get people who think their junk is passed down from the old country and is worth more than your house, they have just been waiting until they need money to take it to the old pawn shop and cash it out. I've been a part of these transactions on both sides before and I can tell the staff here try to be as nice about it as possible. I've worked at high end gun stores, and I've worked at other buy/sell/trade business, and this is the one I shop at. -about the review from Denise, businesses that sell firearms are strictly regulated. And every year these businesses are watched even closer. There is no bending the rules on federal and state regulations. I'll assume you're talking about guns, but in any case you can't blame the business for following the law. Personally, I am grateful that Cascade Pawn doesn't hand out guns to anyone without proper identification in my neighborhood.

I thought they were friendly enough but also watchful of people's coming and going and that's GOOD because they are buying and selling GUNS to the public, not Latte's You're also witnessing an older generation dealing with Xs and Zs, millennials, whatever.... I liked their dry sense of humor, honest prices, and they seem knowledgeable about their products. What helps me is leaving my pre-perceived perception at the door, and then I ask myself what my mood was like that day especially before writing a review! Easy Five stars for Cascade.

They paid more than I thought I was going to get from it and the whole process took just a couple minutes. You do need to go there driving a car (no walk ins) and show an ID. I'm sure that minimizes the risk of them buying stolen items. Overall, great experience and would recommend selling there. I was also glad to know the story behind this family business :)

Almost hidden in plain sight. Yards get a bad rap for trying to rip people off. Not in my one experience: I got what Google said was being paid for the part and weight. I had visited yards with my dad long ago: some of the fun was seeing what people discarded. But here they pretty much removed the scap immediately: about as clean as one could imagine for such a business. A bit overwhelming for a first-timer. Now that I know the ropes, I could be smoother and maybe give the extra star (note: 5 stars is Far Exceeding expectations, involving walking on water. 4 is above average and is a great score. 3 is what a run of the mill experience gets)

My dream watch became a reality thanks to Lisha at Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler. Lisha is not only…read moresuperlatively passionate and knowledgeable about luxury watches, but she genuinely cares about her customers; to her, it is not just about the transaction, but about having an authentic connection with the customer and their story. Along my journey, I had visited a few other ADs, but none of the visits felt real or, dare I say, 'fun.' It was not until my visit to Alvin Goldfarb (almost by luck on my wife's suggestion!) and meeting Lisha that I became aware of how the experience *should* be. The store was beautiful and inviting. It was so easy for her to create a relaxed and familiar environment and to connect over the watches I am interested in, and it quickly just became fun to both get genuinely excited about the whole experience; it was like working with an old friend. It was during one of these visits that Lisha decided to surprise me with my dream watch. Let me tell you that as fateful as the first time I visited, this special visit almost did not happen. I had decided last minute to squeeze in a visit on a hot (for Seattle, 80+ deg) summer day after a hectic day of work. For several reasons, it probably would have been "better" to visit on some other day, but boy, oh boy, am I glad I did not listen to my left brain that day and instead went with my gut and reminded myself of how great of a time it would be to enjoy and talk watches with Lisha. We were mid-conversation, with an exhibition GMT Master II on my wrist, talking about watch news, watches as gifts, upcoming travel plans, family life, some current events when out of nowhere a gentleman in a grey suit walks up with a tray in hand, with a watch on the tray, handing it to Lisha. Things started to get blurry at this point, but here's what I remember: Lisha handing me the tray and saying 'That's your watch. I wanted to make sure you had it for your trip,' me (hopefully) able to say some words of astonishment and gratitude (I was stunned, in shock really), me having a hard time doing simple things I have done countless times (like writing my phone number and signing my signature), me not being able to stop glancing at my new wrist companion and feeling its heft on my wrist as our time together began. I also remember repeatedly thanking Lisha and everyone at the store ad nauseam, then sort of floating out of the store with my dream watch on my wrist. Days later, I am still on cloud 9 and incredibly thankful and stoked about the entire experience. Thank you again for the Nth time, Lisha :) I am looking forward to future visits to come, and I cannot more highly recommend working with you and Alvin Goldfarb. More power!

FRANKS experience should give warning & share the ugliness to customers about to frequent this store. Maybe my story will serve as a reminder to reconsider purchasing here. At the time or beginning of my story Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler who was an Authorized Dealer for ROLEX in the Pacific Northwest. After doing some research I started frequenting the store looking for a few Rolex watches. Yes , I was very specific in my choices but always given the " NO " you can't have one for over 2 years. I came in every 4 to 6 weeks just to check and " NO" was the mantra of the sales staff. I was always told we have other watches for sale. Like who cares what ya have if ya can't provide what I desire. Now one amazing summer day I saw the $6400 41mm Celebration dial by Rolex in the case. My excitement level increased and I ask if it's for sale? The mantra is now uttered "NO NO NO" ! However something new that day happened and was shared by sales representative, I was actually told if you spend a $1,000,000 in jewelry it should be no issue to get that watch..... Now I was stunned by this statement so much I said are you serious and the person said YES! Well, that seems excessive and ridiculous and no I didn't drop a million to acquire the timepiece. I'll never forgot the arrogance of staff member of Alvin Goldfarb Jewelry and defiantly will not purchase anything from them. OK, now this is the happy ending of the story. I did manage to acquire The Celebration dial by Rolex elsewhere so I have that going for me. And on January 1st 2025 the BIG HAND OF THE CROWN aka ROLEX laid the smack down on ALVIN GOLDFARB & pulled authorized dealership away from store. No longer can they sell ROLEX.... KARMA saw the bad business practices by using Rolex watches to lure you into buying unwanted jewelry or non Rolex branded watches you don't want in order to maybe purchase a Rolex. Well, this is my story my truth & my journey, can you dig it!
