This place is so freaking cute!! Super 90s!! They have the cutest little gachapons and most of them are only 25cents! Everything was reasonably priced and the workers here were so kind! I love this little shop, it is so cute! The owners are so sweet, and you really can tell that they have put their heart and soul into it, and really want to engage with the local community. This place deserves all the love if you're a 90s kid and prior. Coming in had me relive so much memories of the corner store with all the snacks and candy I could dream of and all the games out there. The selection is amazing from games, stickers, and souvenirs of a lost time like the og Pizza Hut and McDonald's glasses and Mr Roger's things. Of course they got records and cds and the selection is huge but that wasn't what kept me going. Owner is super nice and everything is above reasonably priced. In my vacation here I've been to 6 retro stores and none of em live up to this at all pricing aside (they still the cheapest but I mean experience). This is a nice and friendly store. I came in for video games and while their prices are fair, their selection is pretty limited as it seems like they are trying to sell a little bit of everything in a very small store (candy, DVDs, vinyl records, etc). I'd say it's worth a visit every couple of months but I can't imagine coming more often than that. Give them a try if you are nearby, though. read more

Merchandise of Super Mario Bros, Sanrio, and Goosebumps were the things that brought me back to my childhood. For Small Business Saturday I decided to check out downtown Kent. The window display of Retro Emporium was decorated with iconic Christmas pop culture movies such as The Christmas Story and Elf. It was super busy when I walked in. It's a great place to find gifts from the 80s and 90s. This shop was definitely a great find! read more

One of my very favorite stores in Kent. The staff there are very personable, friendly, and kind. Incredible selection of retro video game, anime, and Pokémon items as well as pop culture collectables and new/used records. This is one of those stores that it's good to visit periodically as their selection of retro/vintage toys changes and you can find some treasures for sure. The Retro Emporium is honestly one of the best stores I've been to especially the posters too! The staff were VERY friendly and kind they also give you time to decide! And the things they have are just awesome they have video games, posters, records, anime items, and the Animal Crossing selection was 50% off!!! I also LOVE how everything is so well priced one pack of Pokémon cards that were REALLY valuable 3.99$!!! I love this store and sometimes I wish I could buy EVERYTHING!
