Worst gamestop ever. They do not answer the phone ever. The staff there was lazy and didn't know much at all. I ended up buying a pre-owned controller for my ps4 and got home and it doesnt work, doesnt charge. (Do you even test your items before you buy them back or just give money to anyone with broken hardware? Because i have a broken xbox if you guys wanna give me money for it and sell it to someone else?) This place is a joke. At least for someone who is accustomed to adults conducting business in a reputable fashion. I bought a Wii system, brought it home, played it for about an hour, and decided it wasn't for me and went to return it. I packed it back up, with every little plastic bag and twist tie, and with no damage to the box. I had it out of the store for less than two hours, and they would not take it back. There is not one sign posted anywhere in the store detailing this shady policy. The staff consists of nothing but self absorbed gaming idiots, with absolutely no sense of customer service. Giving me my money back is the only ethical solution in this scenario, and this company fought me the entire way. GameStop represents the rapid decline of American decency. Don't waste your time. I recently got a 3DS just for one reason... Zelda. This is the nearest Game Stop, so I stopped by to see if they had any copies. First off, this glorified cashier tells me The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the 3DS is nearly impossible to find. He really tries to pitch me the idea that it's such a rare game and how no one sells it anymore. Followed by a lame tactic at pretending to check to see if they had any copies, he obviously knew. Pulled out a used copy WITHOUT the case. I was like sure why not, it's probably super cheap and I don't care if the game is new. He tried selling the game for 35 dollars, 35?! I don't know what the hell he is smoking but it must be strong because no one would buy a used game without the case for a few bucks cheaper then what the game is actually worth. I laughed and told him I could find a way better deal online. I suggest looking up games on Amazon first. So next time you go to this dump of a store (it smells like piss in the store and looks like utter crap inside, so messy) and they try to trick you into buying a used game as this huge deal, you can tell them how full of crap they are. If any one does this please let me know, I want to be there to see the look on their faces. By the way, just bought my Zelda game on Amazon for 37 dollars, brand new and with the case. I called over 40 times trying to get ahold of them and no answer, it says they're open for curbside pickup but I get no answer at all, very frustrating considering I had to go through a 30 minutes drive. read more

I go to this gamestop all of the time and while the staff is real friendly and knowledge however they NEVER pick up the phone. It takes about 15 tries just to get through but it usually ends up going to a voicemail. They need to have somebody answer the phones. I know they make enough money because the lines are always long so it is unreasonably that they cannot hire a person for $9 an hour or so just to answer phone I am adding a note there I have been trying to call them since 12:50Pm. They don't have access to the Internet, at this location... or at least that is reason they gave me when I inquired about a pre-owned title that wasn't in the original packaging. What kind of business in 2012 doesn't have access to the Internet? Even my phone has Internet capabilities and you are telling me you aren't able to obtain information about a specific game? Went here for a midnight launch, which I've done for a big chunk of my life (at a different place). I've never had problems at my traditional Gamestop and thought I'd try this one out because it's close to my new place. They were horribly rude because I didn't fully pay off my preorder. The other Gamespot would let you PAY THEM before midnight, here they would not let me and forced me to wait for all the "VIPS" ones that paid them in full go through first. Then gave me attitude at the cash register and wouldnt give me any of the preorder stuff. Complete jerks. I've vowed to never go back here and even go WAY out of my way to avoid them. Afterwards I went back to my usual gamestop and they apologized deeply to even be in relations to this store and gave me ALL the preorder stuff that this store held out. read more

Pissed off post! I shop here often as a member of GameStop rewards as well. My credit card has a chip but the bank is Ohio based and does not allow me to use it as a chip service. They NEVER have! GameStop has never declined my sale prior because of this! I show my ID and other forms of documentation that it is me as always and was told today the system only allows you to buy it using the chip reader! Which I know is bullshit! I spent more money there on my last purchase and I was able to slide my card back in June. Same card, same machines at GameStop! This is very irritating and pissing me the fuck off. What bullshit. I live just a few blocks away from this location therefore it's convenient. Overall I don't spend much time at the store when I'm there, it's a quick get in & get out process for me. Bonus.. There is a Yogurtland next door for a frozen treat. The crowd here is is mostly pre-teens or jackass teenagers, whatever we have all been those people. I came in to pre order Halo 4 and Black Ops 2, traded in some games towards my reservation and had a good experience with the info and service I received. Hector was my cashier, good kid! Young and knowledgable and definitely a fellow gamer, I'd add him on Xbox-Lol He was polite and not pretentious like some other staff members I have encountered there. There were two other females behind the counter I presume "working" although they just seemed to be standing there giggling like school girls aimlessly looking around and I heard the occasional .."Facebook", "yoo know", and "riiight" come out of their mouths. So im a regular, come here often to trade and stuff, today I rushed so I can trade in something, I never ever get asked for an id or anything cuz they know me there, Hector is usually cool, he asked for my id, im like ok I never get asked for it and then he says he cant trade my stuff cuz its expired, like 1 month ago, my wallet got stolen and you never ask for an id but now you do because the laws changed, I looked up new laws and saw nothing. I am never coming to this gamestop again, you lost someone good but shitakes, I have to come and cancel my preorder. They don't ever answer their phones, and if they do, they cut you off or talk down to you. Luckily, I knew what i was talking about but i sense that if someone that doesn't know what they are talking about calls, they are in for really bad service. Most of the girls that work there have terrible attitude, and most of the other employs (the guys) are much friendlier and helpful. I guess it has to do with the fact that it's a gaming store. Just left this store and I must say that it was the best gamestop we have been to! We only went in for a couple of games and ended up walking out with a new Wii U. We have never owned a wii system so we asked Kimberly for help and more information about the console. She was extremely helpful, she answered every question we had, and helped us from beginning to end. She didn't get bothered that we kept asking so many questions she helped us every step of the way! She got us to try out the destiny beta and we were stoked when she told us super smash brothers would be released for the Wii U!! We reserved the game as well as the 3 new game cube inspired controllers coming out! We are more than satisfied with all of her help. Besides being so helpful she was extremely friendly! Why is it that every GameStop I go to employees seem they don't want to be there or they have bad attitudes every time I ask them how to activate my rewards card they tell me to go online and that is all I'm not too familiar with the Internet I need step by step guide but they don't have time to explain they always cut me short. How stressful is this job and they look pretty miserable..that is to bad I do spend a lot money in this stores and I have not yet used rewards card because is not activated I wish they could do it for me in the store that would very helpful. Well this is my first review, and today was just regular day at Hollywood. Wanted to check out Hollywood game stop for some game and may be trading deals for mo power up rewards. Well this store is kind of small and don't really have a big choice and standings were really poor. Couldn't find my Final Fantasy XII for PS 3 and also was looking for Metal Gear Solid which wasn't there unfortunately. Worst GameStop ever Please don't go to this lazy ass place I placed a hold online and a the next day I get an email saying that they have it. Once I'm ready to park my car they end up telling me that they don't have it, that the lady spend 2 hours searching for it. Which is total bull crap. A couple days ago I called for a Destiny Mcfarlane 7 inch figure Warlock (Light Beyond Nemesis) the guy ends up telling me, "from where I'm standing all I see is 3 or 4." I asked to guy to go actually check instead of playing a guess game of what's there or not. He came back telling me that they only have "Kings Fall Warlock." I said no the one I want is the Light Beyond, I asked the guy to describe it for me, he said, " so the Warlock is wearing orange shoes, orange pants and a black coat." I told him YES THATS THE ONE!!. He told me to wait, he then tells me "sorry we can't hold this for you because it's already preordered by someone." That day for the first time I insulted someone who works at GameStop. It's pathetic and ridiculous of how GameStop hires people who are acting like idiots. But what do you expect from a dying store.
