They have had the same audio sounds from game machines and retro videos playing for years though, that is due for a change, but the quickly turned inventory allows for a sense of gambling excitement whenever I come by to check for additions to my collection. You can even be added to an alert list if you're hunting for a specific cartridge or disc. Excellent service and above par return exchange policy as well. Definitely worth it to stop by!

That's roughly $25 per modern pack--for cards that aren't vintage, scarce, or anything remotely special. There's a difference between running a business and shamelessly exploiting hype, and this shop clearly knows exactly what it's doing. That's not "market pricing," that's blatant price gouging aimed at the people least likely to know better. Card shops are supposed to build community and help grow the hobby, especially for kids. Instead, this place feels more interested in squeezing every possible dollar out of excited young collectors and their parents. It's hard to call yourself a community shop when you're pricing families out of the hobby. If your business model depends on overcharging kids and parents who don't know better, that says everything people need to know. Even their video games are priced way more than even EBay prices.

From the start, interactions with the owner felt inconsistent. Listings described items as "mint" or "like new," but what I received didn't match those descriptions. When I reached out, the responses were vague and shifted depending on the question, which made it difficult to get a clear resolution. What stood out most was the lack of transparency. Basic questions about sourcing and condition grading were met with unclear answers, and at times the explanation seemed to change. As a buyer, that creates a level of uncertainty that's hard to ignore--especially in a market where condition and trust are everything. After this experience, I took a closer look at other feedback and noticed similar concerns about communication and consistency. Even if each case is different, the overlap is enough to raise caution. A business like this relies heavily on trust between the seller and the customer. Right now, based on how this was handled, that trust just isn't there for me. I'd recommend being very thorough--ask detailed questions, document everything, and don't rely solely on the listing descriptions. DEFINITELY come in if you are trying to quit smoking because a deal this good makes me think these games will sell out fast.

I was disappointed with the location's apparent lack of Magic: The Gathering singles. One would think that with the HUGE window displays of M:TG artwork/branding that they would have more to offer than your basic booster packs and card sleeves. The store's customer service met your basic standards: greeted, asked if I needed assistance, wished a good day upon exit. I say it's definitely worth a stop if consoles are your thing.

Pulled in, and he helped me get everything I needed. Not to mention the cost was incredible fair and well below the budget I had placed for myself. The owner is always there, greeting you like you're part of the family and going out of his way to help you find exactly what you need - no attitude, just pure enthusiasm. You'll often see familiar faces around, which adds to that cozy, family-like atmosphere, even if everyone's not actually related. Honestly, it's the kind of place that feels like it should have a couch and some comfy chairs in the corner, but that might be a little too dangerous, because I might never want to leave! Having visited every comic book store in Portland, I can honestly say no other place made me feel this welcomed or was as well-organized. Every time I come in, they have exactly what I'm looking for. And to put it in perspective, I live about 45 minutes outside of Portland, and it's always worth the drive. That's how special Comics Adventure is to me.
