That's roughly $25 per modern pack--for cards that aren't vintage, scarce, or anything remotely special. There's a difference between running a business and shamelessly exploiting hype, and this shop clearly knows exactly what it's doing. That's not "market pricing," that's blatant price gouging aimed at the people least likely to know better. Card shops are supposed to build community and help grow the hobby, especially for kids. Instead, this place feels more interested in squeezing every possible dollar out of excited young collectors and their parents. It's hard to call yourself a community shop when you're pricing families out of the hobby. If your business model depends on overcharging kids and parents who don't know better, that says everything people need to know. Even their video games are priced way more than even EBay prices.

And yeah maybe I paid a few extra dollars on some things but it supports local business and hopefully keeps brick and mortar stores like this around much longer. One would think that with the HUGE window displays of M:TG artwork/branding that they would have more to offer than your basic booster packs and card sleeves. The store's customer service met your basic standards: greeted, asked if I needed assistance, wished a good day upon exit. I say it's definitely worth a stop if consoles are your thing.
