This is where I used to buy games, if I could not get them locally. It is a typical mall shop with quick check out.

It's quaint, unique, and feels like a hidden gem everyone secretly knows about. What makes it extra special are the handwritten staff reviews on select books. Like actual little love notes telling you why you need to read something. It's way more fun than just reading the synopsis and it feels personal, and thoughtful. They also sell, adorable book accessories, kids' toys, and other cute knick knacks. There's even a small sale section, reasonably priced books, and some signed copies that are clearly marked. It's right by downtown, so super convenient, but definitely try to get there early because parking garages and street spots can fill up fast on weekends. Overall, it's giving cozy, and I truly loved how much personality those handwritten reviews added. It just made the whole experience feel extra special and memorable.

They had a lot of items for sale including cards, gift wrapping supplies, books and other really unique items that could be used as gifts! Everything was priced fairly and there were some items that had really good deals. Bright Side Bookshop would be an awesome spot to find gifts at or whatever book you might be looking for.

Specifically, when I first preordered the game, I asked if they would have a midnight release, and they didn't know yet but said they would call people who had pre-ordered to tell them. Then, a week before the release, I called and they said they were having a midnight release. After that, they NEVER called saying it was actually from 7:00 to 9:30 pm, and I only found out about the time change when I was sitting in the mall parking lot at midnight, trying to call them to ask why the doors weren't open.

For non-gamers, the Nintendo Switch came out on March 3rd of this year, and it's an incredible console. I love mine, but I almost didn't get it because of - wait for it - Flagstaff Mall security throwing me out. I arrived early on the second, having been unsuccessful in getting a preorder (lack of money at the time) and made a few purchases in the mall while I waited patiently outside the storefront. Apparently, this wasn't enough for security as they promptly had three men corner me, throw me out, and told me there would be "consequences" if I came back before 6 PM. Fuming, I left for home. Note to morning security, by the way: if you want to intimidate ME, send someone who isn't skinnier than a twig, someone who isn't in their 70s, and someone who has a full set of teeth. Screw you guys. Any who, fast forward to when I returned at 5:30 (I know, I'm SUCH a rebel) and walked in, listening to one worker talk about "some f-cking idiot who came in this morning in shorts and flip flops." My exact response was, "hi, I was that idiot." Guy avoided me like the plague for the rest of the night before one of my friends, another employee here, arrived for his preorder. Thankfully Charlotte, the manager, heard about what had happened, and I explained the issue at hand. "No problem, you were here first, unfairly thrown out, and forced to go home. We still are going to save your place in line for the first pick up after the preorders." Rest of the night went off without a hitch, talking with friends and employees who are kind and caring, unlike every other GameStop I've been to. Charlotte is a total sweetheart, and the rest of the employees, even the one who insulted me and reminded him "why I hate Flagstaff", are fun-loving guys and gals who are easy to talk to and extremely informative. I hate GameStop as a company, but I really hope this store stays open. If I ever have to buy more consoles and/or accessories, this will be my first stop.

No trip to flagstaff is complete without a visit to crystal magic!…read more So many beautiful and fun things to look at. Great ideas for gifts! We brought our four year old daughter here and she absolutely loved it. We have a tradition of buying a new Christmas ornament each year and made that annual purchase here this year. We got locally 3-d printed ones that are beautiful. Always a good time! Nice staff too. Next time we're in flag, we'll be back!

Of course, she was referring to Crystal Magic, in downtown Flagstaff (Arizona), on the corner of San Francisco Street and Route 66. Admittedly, I was not interested in coming here. But, I could tell that coming here would really make my daughter happy, so in we went. And, as disinterested as I was in coming here, I actually enjoyed looking around this store with my daughter. I think most of the people who come here do so because they believe in feelings or energy that emanates from objects, like rocks. To me, this sounds silly; but having the scientific mind that I do, I did get a lot of enjoyment out of the geological beauty of the items for sale here. Just imagining the incredible physical and chemical processes that produced these beautiful earth-made objects amazes me, along with how beautiful they can be. Looking around in this store was a real treat. It is not only incredibly well organized, but there is also something beautiful to look at in every direction. The owners here must have over a million dollars worth of items for sale here, all packed within this store. They obviously sell several types of precious crystals in multiple forms, but they also sell incense, candles, books, journals, wind chimes, and several other items. I was also pleased with the staff here, who were friendly and professional during my visit. If you're even a little interested in these types of things, Crystal Magic is a great place to shop. You should definitely check this store out if you're in the area. But if you do like the types of things sold here, and you do come inside, be prepared to drop some serious cash. They have a lot of great items for sale.

Pricing Discrepancy and Poor Customer Experience -- Geek Squad Installation Quote vs. Store Charge…read more Trying to call best buy in Flagstaff was impossible. Then I drove from Flagstaff Ranch to the best buy , by flagstaff mall. Here is the email I sent Best Buy corporate: Hello Best Buy Executive Customer Relations, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my experience at the Flagstaff, AZ Best Buy store involving a RAM installation for a brand-new Lenovo laptop. Earlier today (November 10, 2025), I called Best Buy and was quoted $39.99 for in-store hardware installation (RAM upgrade), which matches the price shown on your official Geek Squad service page for "Hardware Installation (In-Store), SKU 7860102." The Geek Squad representative on the phone described it as a "very simple installation." I intended to purchase the RAM directly from Best Buy -- specifically, the CORSAIR Vengeance 16 GB DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM -- and have it installed onsite by Geek Squad. However, after driving approximately 12 miles, I spoke with a young blond man at the Geek Squad counter around 6:50 PM. He informed me the installation would cost $139.99because a "diagnostic" was required. I refused, as this is not what I was quoted or what is listed online. The laptop is brand new -- I've had it for less than 12 hours -- and it functions perfectly. There is no justification for a diagnostic fee on a new, fully operational system that only requires a basic RAM installation. After leaving the store, I spent an additional 45 minutes on the phone with Geek Squad support, but no one could resolve the issue or explain the pricing discrepancy. This experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and reflects a lack of transparency at both the store and customer service level. I am requesting that Best Buy: Honor the quoted $39.99 installation rate for the RAM upgrade at this location. Clarify and correct any misleading pricing practices that require unnecessary "diagnostic" charges for simple installations. Provide a written confirmation within three (3) business days explaining how this issue will be resolved
