This is for you Brandon! I ordered 11:44 pm online for pick up the next day and you give my copy to some other people! What's the point of doing online orders if you are just going to give away copies to people who come in?? You don't respect people who work early and don't have the chance to go in-store until they're out of the clock. That is why you guys have that feature for online orders in-store pick up! To accommodate people who work with specific schedules. Such bad management!!! read more

I've been coming to this Game Stop for the past few years now and the service is consistent. I love how the employees are really friendly. I'm always greeted when walking in and ask if I need help looking for anything. I love that they have specials on Funko Pops from time to time. This is the main reason why I come to GameStop. I also like the different T-shirts and board games they have. If you get a chance check out other things besides video games because they have a lot of other things! read more

GameStop - 3 for $10 wild - Video Game Stores Near Me - Elk Grove, California

See my review for the Laguna Store. Literally majority of the same team work at this one too. I remember going to the Laguna and Bruceville stores in one day and seeing the same worker at each store, unless you are cloning workers?! lol. Great people, Great experiences. Shout out to Brandon and Macie, for always going the extra mile! I've never been a "regular" anywhere till now, lol. Keep it up! And Gamestop, they deserve a raise! read more

The hours listed online are that they open at 10 AM. I came over here at 11:45 and they are still not open. They open at noon. So first off correct your hours online. Additionally, the lady with glasses who I'm assuming is Rileigh W. the store "leader" inside is extremely impatient and rude. I asked a couple simple questions and she's telling me to go to another store that is open; however, I'm already here and gas isn't cheap. I bought a game here that does not work and I simply want to exchange it. That's the only reason I'm here. If they sold me good merchandise to begin with I wouldn't even be here experiencing this. The only reason I'm leaving this review is because of the horrible attitude I just experienced and as I turned around I noticed her shaking her head on top of the rude tonality she speaks with. They're not even open yet, I can't even imagine what it's gonna be like once I get inside. Even worse when I went inside. Avoid this location. read more

I'm not a big gamer, but I do have a Nintendo Switch. Immediately I took notice of how clean and organized the store was. The staff were also friendly and nice. They answered all our questions and even gave some great suggestions. I feel like inventory-wise, there could be more. But overall a solid GameStop location. read more

I've been too many GameStop's before including this one. Always have friendly and good customer service. I spend alot of money here and expect that from GameStop. Today when I went in I was very disappointed in customer service with girl named honesty. Seems like I was bothering her when I would ask her a question. She was just on her phone and seemed agitated by customers. First time I've ever had this experience in GameStop. We like to get in store experience instead of buying online but today was discouraging. Hopefully manager can talk to her about this since that's bad for business. read more

I've been many Gamestop shop, I went to this one just because its closer to home. Most of the time they out of stocks for most game, thats ok we can go to the other gamestop. The employees are rude and unprofessional. read more

Chloe is an awesome employee and always helpful. She's a great assets to GameStop and always a pleasure to see and talk to. She's very nice and sweet every time I'm in the store or on the phone. Have a blessed holidays. read more

I don't like GameStop that much anymore but this place is alright. There's some decent choices and even some N64 games which is pretty cool. The people who work here are dope as shit too. Plus the chicks are pretty hot so. What's there to complain about. Imagine being so dog shit you have to call GameStop instead of getting off your lazy ass and just driving there aka if your name is Rob H. Fuckin loser read more

GameStop is THE place to go for all your video game needs and wants. The employees are very knowledgable and willing to share their experiences. The store has a small foot print but they almost always what I am looking for In-Stock. I never feel rushed; my kids and I often take our time playing with the Demos or looking for that perfect game. GameStop prices are often competitive and the PowerUp rewards quickly rack up. They also buy back used games, so after you beat or get bored of your game, sell it back to them. read more

GameStop - Outside Pic of Store. - Video Game Stores Near Me - Elk Grove, California

I would give zero stars if I could!!! I was 4th!waited in line all night long...for a ps5 console! Paper advertises 1 per household!!!! Owner and employees sold to 1 family all XBOX and PS5 units!!! Children walked out with PS5 consoles! The owner and gamestop have FALSELY advertised! How dare you let a family of 6 get EVERY console! DON'T shop here! SPEND your money elsewhere! IF sold as advertised, several people that waited in line would have secured a console! SHAME on gamestop for participating with SCAMMERS!!!!!!! read more

Super super rude staff. Tried to trade in a PlayStation and one of the workers claimed the controller didn't work. When my boyfriend asked if she can try again she refused and stated that she "assured" us that it was defective. When in fact it's not. We actually took it to a different game stop and everything worked perfect. I'll never go here again. read more

Best GameStop in the area! I love coming to this location because of how friendly the staff is. Tonight we traded in a system and were helped by Megan, one of the store leaders. Despite the usual holiday bustle in the store, she never rushed us out and made us feel welcome to be in the store. She also greeted several of the customers by name. I just felt like I was having a conversation with a friend instead of someone punching a time card. If you are looking for a GameStop in Elk Grove, take the time to visit this location, it's worth the trip! read more

The man working here did not greet us very friendly when we arrived. It was sort of unwelcoming. Whatever. We came to purchase a controller and PS4 games. The PRE OWNED: CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS that we brought home would not load pass the intro so we called them and he told us we can return or exchange it any location. We then drove to the Florin and 65th St location where we had a much better experience. Exchanged our game for one that worked and the man working was a lot more polite. read more

Great costumer service! Very friendly and some the of employees speak Spanish which is great so I can understand them a bit deeper!

Make sure to go to website because they give you the highest price on website fifa 2022 was 39 but the guy charged me 60 which is way to high and he didn't even try to help me at all very bad attitude read more

STEVEN is amazing at his job!! Best customer service I've seen in a long time. He went above and beyond to help my boyfriend get a $5 credit from a game stop in Long Beach. They had him on hold for like 15 mins and he didn't mind staying on the phone until he got it.. we didn't even know about the $5 credit but thanks to Steven we got that $5 off. I'm not a gamer but I know good customer service and this location is wonderful read more

Came in today to buy a couple of things. The kid behind the counter asked if I wanted to purchase the Game Stop membership. He told me it was $9.99 and that it came with a $5.00 coupon. I asked him "so I'm really getting this membership for five bucks then?" He said yes. He also told me he would have to run 2 separate transactions, one for the membership and then another for the games. Turns out he charged me $14.99 for the membership and said he had deducted the $5.00 from my purchase. Moral of this story, Don't lie to your customers to make the membership sale. Shady business practice at best. read more

I am editing my review because a few days ago I went to this location and it looks like the store hired some new people that had limited game knowledge. I went in and asked for the special promotion Genesect code card. The new guy asked me what it was for... I replied for Pokémon. He went into the back of the store to check and came back to tell me "sorry we have no Pokémon Genesect games" as clueless as this guy could be I asked the other new guy and he told me that the code card didn't come out yet when I saw the code cards behind the counter next to a messy stack of games. I ended up going to a different location where a veteran worker handed me 2 copies of the code. Will I come back to this location? Who knows? read more

The store advisor Cesar tried to keep my receipt when I returned an item. I noticed he intentionally left it on the counter, when he brought it to the door. (Covid time) He would not return it unless I told him if I had opened the other item I had purchased. He then asked me, "what do you need it for?" Do better game stop, train people you hire not to make personal decisions about others property. If he was smarter, he would know people retain receipts for many purposes. When questioned he was rude and did an arrogant chuckle. Reminder of why I spend my money elsewhere. read more

This GS will not pickup phone calls at all. I've called over 10x to checkup on my orders and not one phone call pickup. Bad customer services read more

My kids had to clean up their old games, which they have collected for last 5+ years. The employee, Mike took for a while to find out the trade-in value since we had so many games; he was very friendly and made sure everything went well. Thank you very much, Mike. read more

Just picked up a console bundle set and the employees were very cool and helpful. They also have a big selection of games and everything is nicely spaced out. It's also next to a tech fixing place so you can take your broken or out-of-order consoles and devices there. I would definitely recommend people to go to this gamestop and I would go again. read more

Chris sent me here when they did not have my game at the closer gamestop to my house. Had the item already waiting for me at the counter.

I been calling this place for the last month so I can purchase a game... but all I get its put on hold for 30 minutes this is absurd!! i even called today and once again i was put in hold what the hell its going on in this store? I been a steady costumer for years i think anybody deserve being treated this way, its rude and very unprofessional, and please don't give a weak excuse that its the holidays, i called the other gamestop in town (which its Laguna Crossroads, 7717 Laguna Blvd) and they answer right away, they are kind and show that they care.... I'm very disappointed you guys need to fix this ASAP!! read more

I know Gamestop has a bad rep, but you wouldn't know it if you only came to this location! Every single associate is friendly and helpful, they don't try to push you into purchases you don't want (besides the script they're required to recite because of corporate), and so much more. How attentive are they? Peggy, my favorite of the bunch, can recognize me over the phone merely by my voice! read more

I came here a few months back and bought a used game. I came home and opened the case and the employee didnt put the game in the case so I had to go back and get it. I gave it another shot today because I wanted to get another ps4 game. I walked in, waited foreeever while the one girl employee was helping out people by herself with no other staff members to help. Then she coughed, sneezed, and rubbed her nose snot all over her hands and fingers while helping out a customer who was eating ice cream. Disgusted....I immediately walked out and went to the other Gamestop over by Target. And clean your front doors with window cleaner. It's covered with fingerprints all over. Gross. read more

Most games can be bought cheaper online and sold for more as well but theres just that time when your friend from back in the day comes by and you really need to buy 4 boxes or oreos, 3 2 liters of pepsi and call of duty world at war so u can kill zombies till the wee hours of the morning...in those certain times this store does tend to come in handy read more

Very clean, spacious and organized store. Peggy was very pleasant and had great customer service skills. Two thumbs up for Peggy!

I went to this GameStop on the pre-release day of Mortal Kombat 11 which was on Monday April 22nd. I received a voicemail the previous day and in that voicemail a lady states that at 6 p.m on the 23rd they'll be finalizing receipts and at the same time they'll be handing out the Scorpion masks. So I get there at about 5:55 p.m on the 23rd and I had to wait inside for about 5 mins. After I got my receipt finalized both the workers the lady and the guy that helped me out didn't even give me the mask and on top of that they told me I have to come back for the game. Now at this point I'm a lil pissed off but I didn't wanna make a scene inside of the store. Like really how can you really leave a voicemail the previous day stating one thing and then the next day you do the opposite. Very very inconvenient and a waste of gas as a customer for me. Then they tell me to come back around 8:00 or 8:30 and they'll have a raffle and they'll be giving away prizes and the scorpion masks. So I went home and came back around 8:25 and at this point it looks like almost everyone in line has got a scorpion mask or a prize in their hands. They finally gave me a raffle ticket and a won right away. Most of the good prizes were already gone at this point but I came away with a lil keychain toy bot. Then there was a guy who had the scorpion masks in his hands but he completely skipped me in line and gave it to everyone else. I was confused Indidn't understand why they didn't want to give me a scorpion mask. I even got up to the front of the line in the store and I seen people coming in late and getting their receipts finalized and there was a lady that was handing out the masks from the drawers from inside the store to these customers. I have eyes I tend to observe a lot of things. Now at this point I really just felt mistreated and treated unfairly. When I got up all the way to the front of the line after I was handed my Mortal Kombat 11 game I asked the young lady who was working and she sounded like the same lady who had left me a voicemail on April 22nd if she had any Scorpion masks left and she said she had run out. Funny thing is when I seen her open the drawer she had multiple masks left but didn't want to give me one for whatever reason. And to top it all off she sees me with a poster in my hand but still she says "I mean I can give you a poster oh wait you really have one." I felt like she was being sarcastic and she just felt like the type of person I can't trust. My overall experience here was a bad one. I felt like I was treated very unfairly. Everyone should be treated equally but you won't get that treatment at this location. read more

super friendly staff, they know what their doing and have a tremendous library of video games in their heads on the fly. also they make it feel more like a family owned business rather than a corporation. they will help you pick out the right games that fit your needs and most of their picks are perfect ^_^ definitely highly recommended. read more
