Everything was well organized and the turnout was pretty good. There were two groups, one for juniors and one for (young) adults, for fairness. Another thing I liked was that everyone got 3 extra packs instead of awarding it based on wins, given we're playing with pre-con decks + 4 packs that are all random. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, shout-out to Bryan (the general manager?) and the official judge for the event. Plus I had a great conversation with him and Michael(?) about MTG; they're definitely very passionate about board & card games. They have anti-scalping policies in place for Pokemon. As for the space itself, decent amount of parking (more in the back). They're very popular for Warhammer, so there's a ton of product for those who play, and several tables set-up with many people playing all afternoon next to us (the 'playing hall' is pretty large!). They also have an aisle with board games for sale, and a counter with TCG products. Restrooms are spacious and clean. All in all, The Forge is pretty much all you can ask for in a LGS; they're also independently owned! I wish I live closer, but I'll definitely be here again soon!

This is going to be a longer post but I wanted to share my experience. Before I do, I understand…read morethat this isn't everyones experience, just mine. I went to Cy-Tex gaming for the first time really excited looking for Pokemon and yugioh cards after someone recommended the store to me. I walked in and bought four cards and continued to look around the store with my purchased cards. The employee expressed to me that service would be slow because he was the only one working today. While looking around, the employee went to the other half of the store while I continued to browse. From the back, another older employee came out and hovered around my general area near the front counter. After I finished looking, I moved over to the other half of the store with the cards I had purchased. I put them in my pocket and moved on to join the first employee. When I went to the other half of the store to browse for pokemon cards, the older second employee followed me. I didn't think much of it until he followed me around to every part of the store. I noticed that his eyes were glued on to me everywhere I went. It eventually became clear to me that I was being followed. I continued to browse the store and different aisles as he continued to follow me with his eyes and moved to where he could see me. Eventually, after I finished looking I returned to the front half of the store and waited to purchase a Yugioh EBT box. While I was waiting in line I heard the second older employee tell the first that I had put cards in my pocket. At this point, I got my digital receipt ready to show. Sure enough, when it was my turn to check out he told me that his boss saw me put cards into my pockets and needed to see them to verify that I had purchased my cards. I showed him the four cards I had purchased, and he shouted out to his boss that he could confirm that I purchased all four cards. To conclude, after 15-20 minutes of following me around both halves of the store and through some aisles, rather than ask me if I had purchased the cards he just assumed I was stealing them and had the first employee ask me to show the cards in my pockets to verify that I purchased them and had not stolen them. After verifying that I only had the cards that I bought when I first went up to the register the second older employee laughed it off and tried to awkwardly play it off. Like I said, I know this isn't everyone's experience, just mine. I went into the store so excited for all the cards, pokemon, and yugioh. I never thought that I would be treated to feel as if I was stealing or was a criminal. Despite all this, it is a great store filled with a variety of items and things. I do plan on returning and hope for a different experience.

They had a broken fall Nutcracker where the head was completely broken. I was hoping to grab for a discount and try to repair it. I asked if they would be willing to make an exception and she said no.

I picked up the latest issue of Dragon Ball Super and also got a Dragon Ball Energy drink, that tasted really good, as well as a Flashpoint comic book. My only complaint is that it seems that items there are sold for the price that is on the back of the book, which means you can probably find the same items cheaper on Amazon for instance. They do have a clearance/on sale section but I didn't really browse it. Overall, if you are looking for any comics, this place is the place for you.

Which would be fine, yes get behind all the rest of us waiting. Instead of enforcing the limit or making her get back in the end of the line, the employee allowed her to purchase four. As a result, customers behind her missed the chance to buy the item before it sold out. If a store sets a purchase limit, it should apply to everyone. There are plenty of other places to buy the same items, go there instead.

After we all formed in line since 1:50 am, 2:30am, and so on, these individuals bullied their way into being first in line at 6:15 am and 7am respectively. The owner admitted she was afraid of them and still let them go in while threatening anyone who complained with not letting them in the store. Argued with families rather than excluding people who chose to skip everyone else. I do not have a video of the owner arguing with a father and gentleman in line but plenty of witnesses. These men were also smoking cigarettes/cigars next to all the families.
