Most employees are helpful finding items and Friday night is best time to shop since quiet and customer service is better since no long lines . I have used Hobby Lobby for years - for almost every single frame in my house. However, getting a valuable piece of art framed is proving to be the impossible task. They ordered my frame, and I was going to bring my art back since I wasn't willing to leave it in the store. They said I couldn't make an appointment, so when I showed up they said they would call me when it's ready. When I explained (again) that I wasn't willing to leave the art in the store I was met with attitude and/or frustration and told they couldn't start on it for 45 minutes. Now I'm not sure how to proceed since I can't make an appt and apparently just showing up and needing service isn't acceptable either ‍ read more

Came in about two weeks ago or more to look at the selection of Model kits and found two that I had been searching for and when I went to checkout the cashiers asked if I do my hobby for a living and I joked "I wish, get like 40 commission's a day and not have to work" they thankfully laughed at that but over all service was good, the value of the kits were a dollar or two high but the selection of models really made the trip worth it read more

The store is clean and well stocked aisle are clear. There is ample parking in the strip centre. Hobby Lobby has artificial Christmas trees in July and every other holiday. This shop is for someone who likes to decorate and craft. They also have the inspirational signs the type sky mall used to flog. If these are things you like this is the mothership. Prices (& choices) better than HEB in party & card goods, at least. Lots of "sales" on seasonal items, 1/2 price on some & % off on others. Very very big store. Hard to sense the "organization " of layout. 3 different employees sent me to 3 different corners for non-existent item. (I'm arthritic & walking ain't easy.). Bought a small hand saw, first use it broke, went to return it. Front end manager said he could not return it as it was missing parts. It was not, he barely even looked at it. Asked for a manager and he called some co-worker over, no name tag, who agreed. No return. I was angry, the entire front end could hear our discussion. I demanded to see the store manager, explaining that I was not leaving without the return. He called her twice, she never showed. After ten minutes he told the cashier to go ahead and do the return. Seriously. This "customer service manager" claimed he could not do a return for a customer holding a valid week old receipt, an eight dollar return on a receipt for five items totalling almost $20? A return of a defective item that worked for about 30 seconds? I'm writing the company headquarters. Maybe I am overreacting but I have never had a store treat me this way. Three Hobby Lobby stores I can go to and they forget that there is a Michaels' store closer in every direction. read more

I love Hobby lobby! I go here for holiday decorations, especially around Christmas time, because I know they have great deals! Never fails I am always able to find what I need and the price is great. Depending on the time of day that one shops, checkout lines could be long. But fortunately they move pretty quickly. If you need paper plates, cups, gift wrapped, bags, odds and ends. This is the place for you! It was worth mentioning for new shoppers, that Hobby Lobby is not open on Sunday. So if you are planning to do weekend shopping be sure to do so by close of business on Saturday. read more

I like this Hobby Lobby, it is huge and never too crowded. I always buy my picture frames here as you can usually find them on sale for 50% off. They have great seasonal decorations as well. The lines were really long last time, five/six deep for two cashiers so they opened two more and took care of the customers instead of just ignoring the problem. read more

Customer service is much lacking. During the holidays employees couldn't be bothered if you were trying to get down the aisle while they were putting up freight. The other employees that were not working seemed like they are there just there to socialize amongst each other. read more

Hobby Lobby is my favorite places to go for art and craft supplies. They offer a wide selection of materials to choose from, so whether you're scrap booking, building model planes/cars/trains/buildings, a painter, or have one of about a million other hobbies, they most likely have everything you're looking for! I greatly prefer Hobby Lobby over Michael's, even though Michael's tends to be cheaper. Michael's, to me, is more for the "kiddy" crafts- beading kits and weaving kits, as well as low-quality supplies for other projects. The only thing that Michael's is able to compete with Hobby Lobby in is artificial flowers- and even then, Hobby Lobby has a LARGE selection of flowers and plants to choose from. The secret of shopping at Hobby Lobby is to wait for what you're looking for to be on sale.. they have weekly specials that change every Monday, so if you're looking for something specific I'd recommend waiting a week to see if it's on sale next week. 50% off is an awesome way to purchase supplies! They also have a standing "40% off one regular priced item" available to print on-line, so if you absolutely have to buy something that's not on sale, you can at least save 40%. I've never had any issues with the staff, although I did have one associate at the checkout counter ring my purchases up incorrectly. I was reading the receipt while walking out the the car, and came right back in and had it correct quickly. The service I get is usually fast and friendly, and I have no complaints. I do wish they were open later than 8pm (9 during the Christmas holiday season), and not being open on Sundays is great for their employees, but a pain for me at times. Other than their open times, I love this store. It's pretty easy to get to (right off I-10 and the beltway), and they have ample parking. I love that you can always find what you are looking for to decorate your house for the holidays or items you will need to create something special. Random tip: they have the BEST wrapping paper. You might think it is a little pricey for wrapping paper, but you get way more than the stuff you buy at other stores, there is a grid on the back to help cut straight lines, and it is really thick so if you are a perfectionist when it comes to wrapping, like me, then you will never buy the cheap stuff again. This location is usually well-stocked and organized so I can find what I need. I do have problems sometimes not being able to tell what is cheap and flimsy if it's inside packaging. For instance I bought some folded gift boxes to put treats in during Christmas and I ended up having to tape them all because the cheap glue didn't hold. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for sometimes. You can print coupons online but to me their website is sort of a blast from the past - but that's really more of a corporate issue. Cashier waited after I stood in line and watched her check everyone out to tell me I need to switch lines cause she's closed now. I was fourth in line and wasn't told until I got to the register. The manager also opted out of doing any work, standing near the door staring off into space and occasionally checking her phone. Poor service, poor management. read more

This Hobby Lobby location is very reliable and usually the one I go to when I need to find something that they don't have at the other locations. The place is nicely staffed and well stocked. I'm not sure if it's just this Hobby Lobby or all of them, but I don't like the set-up because it's hard for me to find things. I needed string lights which I eventually found after a lot of wandering around, and asking employees in the party section and wedding section which were on opposites sides of the store. The staff seem knowledgeable about their stock and where things are located. There are a LOT of employees around. Some will go out of their way to help you, while others will answer your questions, and go back to what they were doing. So it just depends on your luck. read more

I love this place. There is so much to take in, but after a little searching, we found a gentleman on staff who helped us find what we needed. The prices are comparable to other stores. Compared to some craft stores, they are very friendly and helpful. The selection is wide-ranged. I have been a true fan of Hobby Lobby for a long time, however today was a huge disappointment. I had originally gone in to HL just before Thanksgiving to buy two matching glass vases for my table. By the time I got home and took them out of the bag one of the vases was broken. With a million things to do for Thanksgiving and a heavy work schedule I didn't get around to returning it until today (which was within the 30 day return period). The cashier who was handling my return was very courteous, however they need approval from head cashier/ assistant manager. When she asked Becky (assistant manager?) if I could make the return she said no with out even looking up. I mentioned that I was within the 30 days and had a receipt to which she replied (with an attitude), why didn't you return it the day you bought it then ? I was OUTRAGED!!! 1st -It is none of her business why I wasn't able to run back over there the same day and exchange the item 2nd -I was within the required time period and had a receipt, so that makes her question a moot point. 3rd-Hobby Lobby is a long drive for me and they are closed on Sundays so it really limits my ability to go out there to Saturdays. During the holidays there is so much to do and returning this vase wasn't at the top of my list. Becky ended up calling Michael (the manager?) over and he approved my return. Based on the above event I have come to the conclusion that this store does not care about customer service. Michael was within earshot of our entire conversation and obviously didn't care that Becky was speaking rudely to a customer. As Becky range up my exchange I explained to her that I had planned on doing some shopping in there that day, but since they gave me such a hassle with my $7.00 return I would do my business elsewhere. She told me that she was "only following the rules". I don't understand what 'rule' she was following, as I was in compliance with the return policy on the back of the receipt. All in all it was a very disappointing experience and I won't be going back. read more

I've been to this Hobby Lobby many times before. I really don't like the location since it's right by I-10 and beltway. But it's so clean and there are many employees around to help. It is a well organized store with a good selection of scrapbook and fabric materials. They also have good sales so you never have to pay full price for anything if you don't mind being patient. Don't forget to print out their coupons online to maximize savings. One of my favorite reasons to shop there is for their door/drawer knobs.
