Then I started collecting Lorcana because I loved the artwork and had absolutely no intention of learning to play. Their Lorcana selection is excellent, their card pricing is some of the best I've found around Reno, and they've been so enthusiastic and helpful that I'm now excited to learn the game. They've also introduced me to several other trading card series, because apparently my wallet had become too comfortable. Their comic selection is wonderful, there's always something interesting tucked somewhere in the store, and I appreciate how fairly everything is priced. Most importantly, I feel welcome and safe here. I've been treated with nothing but kindness, respect, and genuine enthusiasm every time I've visited. Plus: PINBALL! Comic Kingdom is exactly what I want a local comic and card shop to be: comics! Lorcana! collectibles! nerdy conversations! treasure hunting! One of the comics I need was not in stock except for a pack of 4 and I didn't need the other 3. Tim was willing to break up the package so I could buy just the one. They were so nice and accommodating. I will definitely be visiting again next time I am in Tahoe.

To say I was blown away is an understatement. It's still got the quintessential CnC charm and humor, but amped up to 10 with lifesize displays, larger murals, more merch and those vibes we all love about this place! The bar area got a massive plus up in Sparks, with a full cocktail program, craft beers, and lots of delightful NA options too. The plush blue chairs look super inviting, and I can just imagine the fun times spent here hanging into the evening. Baristas are super friendly and the menu features all the faves from Reno, and then some! Here's the rub. It's hidden in a quiet corner of the best shopping center in all of Sparks. You've got CnC, Mountain Mike's, Smashin' Good Times, Paleteria del Angel, and Shang Hai restaurant all in the same spot, and you can have one helluva day just bouncing from one to the other. I sure hope my friends will find their way here to check it out for yourselves. They have awesome events and programs too, so scope the socials for the schedule and make a plan!

Blatant racism at this store!! Played ape and chimp noises over the speaker very soon after I…read morewalked in and the only other customer walked out. Last week I (a visibly black/poc man) went into the store just to browse around for a gift and at first saw another customer who I thought was the worker. As I walked further into the store this customer left and that's when the worker and I both noticed each other. She was playing some good music at first that I really liked so I noticed when the next song started playing but abruptly stopped. The music cut off only to be replaced by LOUD chimp and monkey noises. At first I was shocked and thought maybe it was a mobile game or a ringtone but the ape noises continued to play for AT LEAST 30 seconds plus there was a distinct pause in the music followed by the sounds. I finally looked back at the employee and when I turned back around the sounds stopped playing after a few seconds only for them to be replaced by music. I walked around the store some more because i genuinely could not register what happened and was trying to make sense of the situation. As I circled around the store though I realized that the noises were STILL playing just very faintly to which they only stopped when I looked back at the worker again. I left the store after telling my friends and partner about it over the phone, but could not focus on anything else because I was just so disgusted and angry. I'm sure no one will get in trouble because people like that tend to stick together but I just had to leave a complaint because it has continued to bother me even after several days. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but the fact that it played for so long and multiple times leads me to believe it was purposeful, not a badly timed ringtone or game.

We found antiques, collectibles, dolls, clothes, books and even musical instruments most at reasonable prices. There's a decent size variety of vinyl records. At first glance they seem expensive, but when you consider they are still a sought after commodity, the pricing is justified. The DVD's, on the other hand, are a bit pricey. The message is more the experience than the merchandise. Enjoy a coffee, tea, espresso along with a snack and chat it up with your host, Mike. Mike's good people and one helluva guitarist/singer. Segue into the huge back room with a stage and plenty of seating to enjoy live entertainment. On Friday night they feature an open mic. Plus, other events during the week. At first we thought it was closed because all of the lights were off. But the main door was unlocked and we entered. There was 3 people sitting at the table in the middle of the store - they stared us down but didn't say a word. We wondered the entire store which was primarily books, movies/dvds/VHS & furniture, with a few odds and ends. I think my definition of "gift store" is different than theirs because I didn't see much that I would categorize in that department. The odor in this store was the usual thrift store aroma, with a splash of...something very unpleasant. We saw what looked like a music venue in the back with a few guys talking really loudly from that area. After wondering the store, we started to work our way to the front when one of the gentleman practically ran to follow us out. When we looked back at him, he pulled out his key and dangled it indicating he was locking the door behind us, still not saying a single word to us. Out of probably 5 people in that store, not a single one said anything to us. If they were closed, they should have locked the door behind them - it was Saturday late morning.... I would label this more as a used book/music/movie store. I definitely won't waste my time here again. Such a weird experience!

Called them and woman on phone said they were mainly mail/Internet clearing house but they welcomed the public. So we had an hour before they closed for the day to peruse the stacks of published sketch books, hard cover golden age collections, graphic novels of all sorts and the (close your eyes) erotica books. Some great finds and if you're lucky the Dog will come check on you and ask for a pat on the head. (haven't seen the dog lately but I don't have chance to stop in very often!)
