After going to another game store in NSL and leaving because none of the staff was masked and there were crowded areas encouraging gathering without distancing, I was so happy to walk in here. It's huge! There is such a huge variety. The prices are decent- the same as Amazon for the most part. And for the few games that were more, I was willing to pay a couple dollars more to support a local shop. I do love Amazon, but if I can support local without spending a lot make money (and if I can walk out of the store with what I want instead of waiting a few days) then I'm happy to. I was also very impressed with how they handled this COVID situation were all in. Employees were masked and respectful of space, while also being helpful. They were honest about which games they liked and didn't. I was told Dominion expansions are worth it, but Carcassone ones aren't as fun as the base game. Instead of trying to get me to spend more money, they told me it was smart I'd stick with just the base game for now on this one. It's such a fun store to browse. I want all the games! They also have games you can rent! I didn't ask about how it worked, but it sounds pretty great! Ill help it out next time I'm curious about a game. read more

I come here often the staff have been decent and accommodating to me and always greet me. I don't buy stuff here a lot anymore because of the higher price on everything compared to all other game stores even noticed single Pokémon cards are priced way above market price. And Collector boxes are way above MSRP. Sad to say but because or high pricing increases I can't buy from here anymore. read more

I came in with my kids. Great selection on games and most of the staff have been friendly. There was one guy behind the computer with glasses. I approached, "May I ask you a couple questions?" He physically sighed and just looked at me. He was curt, and rude, but did manage to answer my questions. As we finished our business there, I tried to thank him for his time, and he ignored me. Not a lot of selection on TCGs. New items released 5 days ago are twice MSRP. They are scalping their local B&M customers. I can order it cheaper online have it delivered to my home from numerous retailers. Poor customer service, associates are too busy sitting at tables with cards and playing on the computer. Had to listen to one associate tell a customer they had their best year ever last year in 2020, well it's not hard when your charging double the msrp on items!!! read more

This store has the best community around, It is one of the few stores that stand up to Bully's and I have never once in my years of going there seen the employees scam a kid out of chase cards they get lucky in opening. read more

I call this my hang out place. I can sit and paint or just stare at my phone in peace. If you want to come and and try out some games there is a large collection of demo games to choose from. There is food nearbye and a coffee shop inside. Come over and set the inner nerd loose or come by to have a good game and drink. It's a family friendly place with kind employees. read more

I really love the idea of a coffee shop inside a cafe. I'm someone who loves to be social, and when I cant rely on my friends to hang out I love to know places that are great hotspots to find a meet people. This game store is really cozy, with plenty of seating for gaming. The coffee served inside the shop is really good too, but I already left a review on that part of the business, its called BattleGrounds Cafe. The store offers lots of cool events in store, as well as tons of free copies of games to play. Overall its a really great local game store. read more

Meh. It's one of the only places to by board games in person. There's a coffee kiosk inside. That's about it for the pros. If you arnt a regular- actually getting the clerk to talk to you can be difficult. I've been in several times and the clerks can never seem to be bothered or are busy talking to friends. Luckily I have my phone and can Google my questions and look for reviews. And usually find cheaper prices online. I don't mind paying a little extra to support local businesses and for being able to walk out and play a game. But given this is about the 9th or 10th time I've walked in (over a very long period) and had no luck with the clerk- I'm just going to order from Amazon from now on. tl;dr: if you have questions/need help look elsewhere. read more

Because I think multiple voices should be heard on this subject, I want to add to what a previous reviewer said in his review, and say that I too will not be spending money at Game Haven as long as Alex is employed there. He single handedly made the Magic Pre-release an un-enjoyable experience. I get that people are excitable and you have to be able to run the tournament, but there is a way to do so and make the customers feel they get the experience they paid for (I don't ever pay to get scolded) and happy they chose that store for a place to participate in those types of events. I also think it is tremendously unprofessional and entirely unseemly for employees to compete in events against paying customers. I can see playing in casual games, because game store employees are probably just as passionate about the games too, but for Alex and any other employee to participate in teams that will get prizes in a competion is beyond reproach. It sets up a culture of big brother against little brother, where far too many people feel cheated out of the experience they expected when they paid to be a part of a tournament. I don't care if employees pay for their entrance; it looks really bad when employees compete against their customers and even worse when they end up with prizes that customers' tournament fees pay for. I've heard many stories (I can't corroborate some of the stories I've heard) that Alex is just downright a shady individual. He takes advantage of customers in personal dealings and he is pushy and obnoxious in ways no customer should ever have to put up with, when he should be committed to customer service. He is not a good person. And I'm not some teenager stuck with my local store, so I'll just go elsewhere, but with young kids coming to the store, there are many people likely to get taken advantage of by this guy. I like the store. I really like the store owner. He has a great vibe and is a nice guy. The store is clean and well taken care of and organized. There is plenty of playing space, so it is a great location for events. They have single cards on sale for those looking for specific Magic cards. I would be happy to spend my hundreds of dollars on Magic and other games there, but I will not ever go back until I hear that Alex has quit of been fired. read more
