Review for Pop City, Utah…read more I've been a loyal Pop City customer for years, both buying and trading Funko Pops under the previous ownership. Since the business was sold, however, my experiences have been consistently frustrating and disappointing under the new ownership team -- particularly with Skyler, who appears to control all major decisions. Communication Issues: * It is nearly impossible to do business without going directly through Skyler, yet he is only in the store one day a week and is slow to respond online. * I have often been told one thing by staff or other owners (that they are interested in certain items) only to have Skyler later respond with "no longer interested," even on items the store later purchased from someone else. Inconsistent & Selective Business Practices: * I brought in a full set of The Office Funko Pops, complete with verified HobbyDB values, offering to sell or trade at a fair percentage. I was told they had "no interest," only to see them buy the exact same set from another customer weeks later. * I have significant store credit from past transactions, but they have repeatedly refused to let me use it on certain in-stock items (such as Pokémon singles), even though those items are sold in-store under the Pop City name. * The offers made on items I've brought in have been far lower than expected based on past Pop City practices. Recent Incident: * After being told they were buying Funko Mystery Minis, I prepared and bagged a large collection, complete with researched values, and brought them to the store. Staff even sent photos to ownership, but I was told again to "message Skyler." * Skyler's eventual reply was abrupt and dismissive -- "not interested" and a firm refusal to consider store credit toward Pokémon cards. The interaction felt unnecessarily hostile given I have never had a negative exchange with him. Why This Matters: Under the previous owner, Pop City had a reputation for fair trade values, consistent practices, and friendly service. The new management has shifted to selective, opaque, and, in my opinion, greedy business practices. Customers deserve clear communication, consistent policies, and the ability to use store credit on in-stock merchandise. Additionally, I believe their selective refusal to honor store credit on certain items raises potential legal concerns and is something that should be looked into by others to ensure compliance with fair business practices. Bottom Line: If you've done business with Pop City in the past, be aware -- this is not the same store it used to be. Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend doing business here under the current management.

Our favorite place to find collectibles! The owner, Skyler is so kind too and great to work with…read more He's always willing to help me look out for pops that I need too. All of the employees engage in conversation and I love that they have the sticker pillar that we can add to each time we go in. My kids love it there too and there's such a large selection of pops and other collectibles at fair prices. This is for sure my first pick of places to get new pops and toys. 1000000/10 recommend!

Hobby Lobby at Quarry bend in Sandy, Utah is a happy place to be. Friendly smiles, happy and…read morehelpful workers and caring demeanor. I have recently began doing more reviews because I feel that good businesses and employees should be acknowledged more. Patient service, nice selection of fabric for many of our sewing projects, and even for our garments. Good selection of cotton, cotton gauze, linen blends, and good prices and value when we shop. Every other week they have very good discounts and it's throughout the year, check out their ad online or the app. We have lived in Utah about two years and we have not been received with much welcoming by many people. We are Christian non denominational and I wear a Headscarf as in 1 Corinthians 11 shows for New Testament believers. Well in Utah we have been confused with Muslim and also being Latina we have encountered much racism ( which is not right to be racist to any race or religion by the way) Not at Hobby Lobby everyone has been respectful and welcoming. The workers at Hobby Lobby have been kind and engaging. Unlike in some places or stores we visit we have Peace and Joy when we go shopping for our sewing projects. I wish I knew names but everyone from the ladies cutting fabric to the cashiers have been very sweet and nice. I happy to know that the Manager at this location has been making good decisions about who works there and how they treat their customers. I hope God blesses the workers and their families and that they keep encouraged to do the work of The Lord. The Holy Spirit has been doing great things at this location and I know God smiles as He sees employees who are working for His Glory and who treat others with kindness.
