    Train layout you control
    Michelle P.

Huge place w old fashioned games , amazing layouts and friendly people. Each layout is different and they are Sophisticated enough to allow you to control the lights speed and horns for tokens. Prices were fair and they were honest to trade.

They appear to have made some significant improvements compared to the photos posted 3 years ago.

Entering The Train Shoppe makes you wonder why they need such a large building. Their store is actually a good sized space for model railroad sales, and they have a great assortment of products. Each aisle is sorted by scale, and neatly organized. However, the back of the store with its unassuming sign saying "To Trains" is the real treat. Rounding this corner and stepping into a toy Train wonderland, you immediately realize why the big building. The interactive area features 6 train layouts varying from Big G Scale and the way down to a sprawling N layout. They are token operated, and for the equivalent of a quarter kids and kids at heart can run the train of their choice for 2 minutes. They can turn on and off the headlamp, blow the whistle, and adjust the speed. Each layout features two or three coin operated trains. There is also a large ride on train. For $2.50 a head you and the kids can ride through an indoor gulch with animatronic animals and video elements. The whole thing was decked out for Christmas, with some additional elves and Christmas trees added to the mix. The Train Shoppe also features some coin op rides(tiny carousel, bouncy car etc.) which my nephew found to be great fun. There are rooms for birthday parties and meetings. This is well worth a visit.

This is a great toy store. Toys of all kinds, not the Walmart or Target chain toys, but great toys…read morethat actually engage children, and I'm not talking about just educational toys, either. So much variety and toys that you wish you had a bottomless wallet to take them all home. Even the "cheapo" niknaks are so cool! And you want games? Tons of such interesting games. Again, would love to buy all of them and then somehow find time to play them all. Figurines, die cast cars, outdoor toys, collectables, of course Lego sets, etc. etc. etc. Such great inventory. Stuff you can't find anywhere else. They have a frequent buyers program, too, to earn points and discounts. They do kid workshops. I recently took my granddaughter to make a Lego race car and she got to keep the car. They do free gift wrapping. If you want even more fancier wrapping paper, there is a nominal charge, but I've always found that their free gift wrap is absolutely fine. Been there several times, but each time I always end up spending a long time looking at stuff and finding things I never saw before. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about their inventory and can come up with suggestions if you are looking for something in particular. Great for adults and kids! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Review for Pop City, Utah…read more I've been a loyal Pop City customer for years, both buying and trading Funko Pops under the previous ownership. Since the business was sold, however, my experiences have been consistently frustrating and disappointing under the new ownership team -- particularly with Skyler, who appears to control all major decisions. Communication Issues: * It is nearly impossible to do business without going directly through Skyler, yet he is only in the store one day a week and is slow to respond online. * I have often been told one thing by staff or other owners (that they are interested in certain items) only to have Skyler later respond with "no longer interested," even on items the store later purchased from someone else. Inconsistent & Selective Business Practices: * I brought in a full set of The Office Funko Pops, complete with verified HobbyDB values, offering to sell or trade at a fair percentage. I was told they had "no interest," only to see them buy the exact same set from another customer weeks later. * I have significant store credit from past transactions, but they have repeatedly refused to let me use it on certain in-stock items (such as Pokémon singles), even though those items are sold in-store under the Pop City name. * The offers made on items I've brought in have been far lower than expected based on past Pop City practices. Recent Incident: * After being told they were buying Funko Mystery Minis, I prepared and bagged a large collection, complete with researched values, and brought them to the store. Staff even sent photos to ownership, but I was told again to "message Skyler." * Skyler's eventual reply was abrupt and dismissive -- "not interested" and a firm refusal to consider store credit toward Pokémon cards. The interaction felt unnecessarily hostile given I have never had a negative exchange with him. Why This Matters: Under the previous owner, Pop City had a reputation for fair trade values, consistent practices, and friendly service. The new management has shifted to selective, opaque, and, in my opinion, greedy business practices. Customers deserve clear communication, consistent policies, and the ability to use store credit on in-stock merchandise. Additionally, I believe their selective refusal to honor store credit on certain items raises potential legal concerns and is something that should be looked into by others to ensure compliance with fair business practices. Bottom Line: If you've done business with Pop City in the past, be aware -- this is not the same store it used to be. Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend doing business here under the current management.

Our favorite place to find collectibles! The owner, Skyler is so kind too and great to work with…read more He's always willing to help me look out for pops that I need too. All of the employees engage in conversation and I love that they have the sticker pillar that we can add to each time we go in. My kids love it there too and there's such a large selection of pops and other collectibles at fair prices. This is for sure my first pick of places to get new pops and toys. 1000000/10 recommend!
