I had alot going on . i came to have 2 tires put on my car... when it came time to pay I reached in mypurse to give my bank card. It didn't go through. was confused since I knew. I had sufficient funds in the account. called my bank . first time my bank said i am not seeing any trouble on our end . so I was confused at why it would t work called the bank again to find out I was issued a new card . 7 min after closing said I found the correct card was indeed using the wrong card . bit had the right card . with me . they took my tires back off the. car and did not put my old ones on. I begged the owner please use this card. this is the right card . he yelled at me refused . begged him saying I promise it will work and give you an. extra $20 to just run it. he locked up his shop as yelling at me he left me with no one there . left my car with NO tires.. he even would not put my tires I came in with back on.. I hope I never treat any customers they come through my doors like this ... I was left ny myself unable to take my car . I came with an officer the next day. Not comfortable with how the owner treated me. Now the one employee was excellent. And he needs to be working somewhere else . He was polite . . this has never happened to me before. i Immediately threw away the old card so I would not make this mistake again. You know you never know what someone could be going through. Having a lot on my mind. Show people grace I am going through a divorce , lost a child and both parents in 2 yrs. Yes I was distracted. But I did discover before he left why the card was not working. I stopped on the exit to check the oil levels and hopefully add a little oil in order to get back on the road, but the engine was making a loud ticking noise. There was smoke coming from the engine bay and oil sprayed all the way up the back window of the car. That's when I decided that it was best to leave it there and have it towed to the nearest automotive shop. Thankfully, JT&AS was no more than 7 miles away from where I was stranded. Not only was I in the right place at the right time, but JT&AS is a shop that I'll begin going to regardless of the other shops that are closer to my home in Raleigh. The service was impeccable. Honest, timely and thorough are only a few ways to describe JT&AS. If you're ever in the area, or better yet, just make the drive to go to JT&AS because you won't be disappointed. As a woman, I can tell you there's no shortage of mechanics out there who will look at your car and…read morediagnose you with stuff you don't need just to charge you more. Clyde at Pass The Wrench doesn't do that. He's a fine young man who provides quality, affordable service. If the job isn't done that day, you pay him when it is. I seriously lucked out by asking on Reddit if anyone knew of a mobile mechanic that could come to our house and fix out Infiniti, someone recommended him. He answered his phone right away, listened to the issue, and came plenty prepared. Not only was he fantastic with the service he provided, he was able to get us discounts on the parts we needed, willing to work around us very close to Christmas (even offering to work ON Christmas), and it turns out he can do more than just cars. Since moving to NC, all we ever hear about is how everyone in this state has "A Guy" they know that can do fix-it/handy projects around the house. Clyde at Pass The Wrench happens to be That Guy for us now. It's rare you find someone that loves what they do and is willing to do good work at a good price without trying to swindle their customers for a quick buck. When it comes to local businesses, Pass the Wrench is exactly the sort of place I want my money going because the person running it happens to be just an all around good human. He might be based out of Raleigh, but he services all over and will come to you to fix your car. We're out in Clayton, and he came to us without issue. I will personally be recommending him to everyone I know.
