This place have the most useless people... I needed to special order a simple earpiece and nope, they said they couldn't do it.

Do not bother doing business with them. They provide poor customer service and tend to mess up orders. If you complain on the feedback form, you'll get a phone call. The Customer Service Rep. from Muscatello's ,not Gall's, will attempt to reconcile the situation by asking that you return to the store again where your time is wasted furthermore. If you call the Customer Service Rep back in the hope of support. They will gladly ignore your messages never to return your voicemail again. Now you've spent money on apparel that doesn't fit properly, gas to go there three times and wasted your time by making an effort to resolve a situation that Muscatello's had no intention of ever resolving. read more

I never had the opportunity to expand on my review. I ordered black TDU pants for my work, back in March in person at the store. I showed up, I placed what I thought was an order in to the cashier since they did not have my size. I called back a month later they said that somebody on there end cancelled the order and it was cancelled a day after placing the order. It would have been nice if someone told me that this occured. Second times the charm right? Wrong I showed up only to find out they ordered the wrong color of pants. So literally at this point im praying that I get the correct pair of pants since my workplace was disciplining individuals for not staying up to uniform standard. So finally third times the charm, I received my pants after a total of 5 months. I was better off ordering online to avoid the consistent headache this store brings. read more

I don't usually write a review but there is someone that deserve a commendation. I brought in a pair of uniform to be taylored to the right fitting for my body frame. When I was informed that it was ready for pick up, I went to pick it up but without trying it on. 1 week passed and I finally had the chance to actually tried it on. To my disappointment, the top and pants were still baggy. I went back to galls and spoke to Nancy. Nancy told me to put it on. When I got out of the dressing room, she had the lady who's doing the fitting and the tayloring already waiting for me. The next day I get a text saying that my uniform was ready. I was very impressed about the fast service to correct the issue. Nancy was very courteous and professional to take care of the issues. Very hard to find, horrible service. They all speak Chinese and it's just hard to get a sentence in without feeling like they didn't understand me. All I asked for was to sew on some patches and it seemed like I was telling the poor guy some riddles. If you know what you want order it online, this location has very limited selection of clothing and accessories, 511 is my preferred brand of BDUs and they don't have many choices, also forget it if you have questions regarding when they would be able to get anything ordered for you. read more

Horrible service by Winnie. First I had to sign in computer to system just to walk in store even though no one else was in the store. Then after asking her several standard questions regarding there 5.11 merchandise she had no idea about the product. I was told " what ever is out there" with a snooty attitude, like she was doing me a favor by even speaking to me. Second after bringing my merchandise to the counter she rudely pointed to another computer check out and said "over there". Third even though I had already SIGNED IN she took another 8 minutes asking who I was and for my information just to purchase. Took a total of 15 minutes after reaching register just to leave the store. All with a poor attitude. Never did I get a hello,good afternoon, thank you. Absolutely no public relation skills. Needed a uniform in a pinch, walked in and the people at the counter weren't helpful at all. When asked about a size, one of them just replied, "What you see is what we got." Rummaging through their subpar selection, I finally brought my items to the counter. The guy (I'd say "Gentleman" but he was far from that.) Rang me up and noticed an item had "an old price" and rang it up for $6 more? I agreed to buy it, but why have old prices on the items?!?! Thank you Galls!!! I can't say enough about the service I received yesterday. I recently was put into a command staff position from detectives to fill in while our commander is away at the FBI academy. Having lost 75 lbs since my last stint on patrol I came to realize that I had no uniforms that fit. This brings me to the staff at Galls. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by their friendly staff. Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience at Galls. Although my first visit at Galls was good, it was my follow up to pick up my pants that left a sour taste in my mouth. After ordering my pants during my first visit, I received a call a few days later from the manager saying that "the pants you ordered were in, come and pick them up when you have time." Since I needed the pants immediately, I drove 40 minutes to pick up the pants. After waiting 10 minutes to ask customer service for my pants, the staff member said that they were retrieving them. After waiting another 20 minutes, seeming like they forgot me, I had to ask again where they were. They had no idea where they were. Two hours later, after I had left the store and drove halfway across the city, I get a call from Galls saying that they found my pants... Very disappointed in their lack of organization. For almost fifteen years I've been ordering uniforms, jackets, shoes, etc., from Galls. Today is the last time THAT will happen. Ordered a pair of TAC pants that turned out to be huge. Went into the system to initiate a return, only to find that they now charge a standard $10 fee to return items. Whether you go into a store or order online - these guys are the worst. Hate this place!! They are a joke to be a law enforcement and city worker uniform and supply store. They NEVER have anything in stock and their employees are all incompetent!! They are the only big uniform supply company and they always somehow win the bid for the city contracts! My items where backordered a few weeks ago. Been getting daily texts and emails to pick up my stuff. Came in today and stupid clerk brought my stuff to the counter. I had uniforms and a cap. Cap was still sealed in the factory box. I go to open it to inspect it. Clerk snapped at me and said I can't open it until I sign my voucher. I ignored her and opened it. She again spoke louder saying I can't open it yet. Really? I opened it. My baseball cap was inside with NO EMBROIDERY!!!!! Then I pointed it out to her why I opened it!! Because its an incomplete order as usual!!! Go to Peninsula Uniforms in Redwood City for uniforms. Fast and friendly and never had a problem. I only go to Galls because they have the city contract. Do not go to the Black female with the braids. Incompetent!!! Shes been there over a year and still can't figure out how to work their computer system. I would give ZERO stars if I could!!!! Not good.... not good at all! If you are SFPD or any other department, go to Peninsula Uniforms in Redwood City instead. I am pretty much forced to go to this location, because it is near where I work, and they have all the specs for my uniforms. The work here is never done right, and usually almost never on-time. They are a very disorganized operation, and have employees who would rather you came back later, as opposed to having them provide you with an ETA for your backorder. Your best bet is to go to Mike (the Manager) directly. He is overworked, and appears to have his hands full with the unprofessional and flakey employees he has working for him. I like the guy, but I ordered a vest from him months ago, and each time I talk to one of his employees, I get the standard, "Not ready yet." Well, when will it be ready? Can you check? We're not talking about some trivial piece of police equipment here. I ordered several uniform shirts, and paid extra to have hidden zippers installed behind the buttons. The shirts were received without the zippers, and no explanation. I took a pair of BDUs here to have the patches changed out. I asked them to remove the service stripes, since the color and design was a bit different. BDUs received, but service stripes still on....WTF? I was supposed to receive a set of rain gear as part of my equipment dispersement from my employer. Months later, still no rain pants, and the rainy months are approaching. If you have the option, I would STRONGLY suggest going elsewhere. Skip this place if at all possible, and stick to their website. read more

In a word, galling, but why only use one word when I can vent my spleen on the internet? Because I work for a transit agency that you may have heard of and probably hate, I wear a uniform to work every day. Cool, right?! I mean, I never have to worry about my wardrobe again. Also, free, super-comfortable heavy duty clothing? Yes. Yes please. The only problem is that we have to go through Galls. Although the people who toil for Galls incompetent empire are friendly, the service this shop provides oz beyond horrible. Not only did it take them three weeks to fill a simple order, but half of the shirts I ordered didn't fit. After sending them back, I received a message two weeks later that they were ready, great news! You see though, I found out after my nine hour workday of people shouting at me, hour and a half trek, and fifteen minute wait that they weren't. Oops! You can come back next Tuesday during regular business hours, right?! Not if you're scheduled for a 12 hour split shift, which I am. Add this to the hour I had to wait to pick up my uniform the first time and what do you have? The first one star review I've given since 2013. Eat your heart out Galls! Very very disappointed and frustrated with this place. I dropped off two of my uniform shirts on 10/22. Mike, one of the managers, was the person that helped me. He applied the safety pins for tailoring and pointed out that the name tape extended beyond the pockets. Mike said "We can fix that." He told me to come back on Friday and my uniforms would be ready to go. I came in the following Monday 10/29 at 0815 to pick up my uniforms. Josie, the lady at the alteration counter, spent 5 minutes walking around the back looking for them. She came back out and said "Sorry, they're not ready." What!? Then Josie told me to come back in an hour! WHAT!? She said my uniforms were over looked, we are so busy... Excuse after excuse! Josie said that the tailors would tailor my uniforms and that she would have them shipped to my house. After all this I did not trust her nor Galls to "ship" me my uniforms. Long story short, Josie said the tailors would work on my uniforms and they should be done in 20 minutes. I don't understand, one week plus some extra days to get my shirts altered and they weren't ready. But they were able to do it in 20 minutes!??? Too late to make up for customer service. And of course, because they rushed, my uniforms were done incorrectly. I told myself I would not be going back, but I want them to fix what they messed up on. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. My department has it's contract with these guys-so I am forced to go here. They never have anything I need in stock, It's always back-ordered with no ETA. I'm not talking about obscure items- I'm talking handcuffs, shirts, boots, pants. Everything is cluttered and looks like a crew of "hoarders" set this place up. Extremely expensive. The staff acts like you are bothering them when you have a question. No one seems to know anything about anything when you go here- completely inept. If you push, then they just half-hearetedly ask another person who gives the same " I don't know" answer. When Judy was there you at least had a chance of someone looking into things for you, now you need to avoid this place like the plague! I was just recently informed that Banner Uniform also has contracts with the SFPD now. I haven't been there yet, but trust me- it's better. Side Note- I have been in truck stop restrooms that are cleaner than the bathrooms in Galls. Gross! read more

OK, I get that they can't sell police officer uniforms to someone who isn't a cop, but they wouldn't sell me a MUNI cap because I don't work for Muni. Like what am I going to do - impersonate a bus driver? I did get a good rain slicker here, but was disappointed that they didn't have the big orange rain ponchos that crossing guards wear - and when I asked there was no offer to help me find or order one. Their rain gear was limited to generic yellow slickers. This place wasn't nearly as much fun as I expected from the other reviews. It was mostly rows and rows of khaki shirts and navy blue pants. This place is way out in the middle of nowhere, but does have easy parking. read more
