If only I'd read the reviews first. Another lesson learned the hard way! The salon is pretty and the young woman that did my disastrous pedicure was personable, but that's where anything good ends! I only gave them one star because no stars is not an option! While she was cutting the cuticle from my right, big toenail, she got careless and cut a part of the nail that shouldn't have been cut, on the outside edge. It hurt, considerably, and I jerked my foot away. Her response was that my feet are too sensitive! What a joke! You cut my toenail and the pain is so bad that I jerked my foot away, and it's sensitive?! I'm concerned that the tools they use aren't cleaned properly either. I thought that was the end of it until the next day when it began swelling and hurting even more. I'm tending to the wound with antibiotic cream, and will go to my doctor if it doesn't clear up in the next couple of days. This morning I went into the gallery to get my money back, which was the least they could do. After arguing with the manager, who said "we don't do that", and insisting I wasn't leaving until it was resolved, he gave me my $40, which by the way is ridiculously expensive for a basic no frills pedicure. The technical didn't even apply lotion to my feet, as listed in the description. Before I left, the guy I spoke with actually tried to blame the injury on me, telling me not to come back with a sore toe. My toe was perfectly fine until I made the mistake of trusting them. I went here before Mother's Day and had a Mani/Pedi. The Pedi service was fine but the Mani, the reason I was there horrible. The gal used the electric file so long on my nails at the nail bed that it brought the blood to the surface and she caused a black streak in one of my nails. If I could give zero stars I would. I got a pedi and a Gel X fill. It looks like a child painted my toe nails. My nails are the worst part. They are all shaped differently and the Gel X was not filed correctly on a few fingers. It was getting near closing time so the gal that did it was rushing. This is also one of the only place that I have been too that does not do your nails while getting a pedi. I was there for 2 1/2 hours!! They gave a long leg massage with the pedicure and the place was clean. Besides that, the polish was gross (old and crusty, filled with thinner), the polish will not dry because they layered it on so thickly, they cut my toenails unevenly, and they charged me $50 for a basic pedicure. My sister in law was getting married the next day and her nails looked so bad we went back later that day to get them fixed and the manager was very unprofessional and rough. First of all, I have been going to a nail salon and Puyallup roughly on and off for about six years on my last appointment that was it. I had it my nails were ruined!. Luckily a good friend I said I have a place for you come on out and try it. we got there close to closing, but they gave us no rush to fix my nails up. Couldn't believe how beautiful they looked. First impression- clean. I walked in for a pedicure and was promptly helped. Friendly owner and staff. I got the $45 pedicure that includes, parrafin, massage, hot stones. Everything was great. I kept overhearing Hannah being mentioned as the person to see- good word of mouth. It took a total of about 45 mins. My polish job could have been a bit better as the polish is on my cuticles. But, other than that it was great. I kept seeing the owner go around with a Swiffer cleaning up. It wasn't hurried and the service was good. I'd go back. I used to get my nails done here all the time. However, about a year ago, an incident occurred that stopped me from coming. They used a top coat that formed bubbles once the nails were done drying. I noticed it the first time but let it slide because I was in a hurry to leave. The second time, I mentioned it to the lady doing my nails and she said mocked me to her fellow coworkers and they all laughed. "Bubbles, bubbles" is how she said it - in a high yet incredibly annoying sound. One lady, she may be the manager or something, was the only one who seemed concerned since I was a returning customer and I tip well over the average. They fixed my nails and since I felt I had been disrespected, I didn't return. A friend of mine still goes there - she gets gel nails done so the nail polish is not the same and she didn't have that problem. Anyways, they told my friend to tell me to come back because other customers had complained about the same problem and they were forced to change top coats. I went back last week for the first time in a year and they all seemed to remember me. "It's been a long time, welcome back!" I asked how long the wait would be since it seemed pretty packed. They said there wasn't a wait and brought me to a chair to start immediately. Nope. I sat in the chair and had my feet soaking in the water for 30 minutes before they started on me. When I left to pay, the manager asked me what was wrong and I replied, "The next time someone asks you how long the wait is, try telling them the truth." The actual pedicure, itself, was not bad. I finally figured out that the best way to get a really good pedicure, is ask for the person you want, make an appointment and it's fine. After trial and error I found Kathy and now she's the only one who does my nails. I always get the upgraded pedicure which while being more expensive is well worth the extra money. My only complaint, I always see others getting a neck and back massage and I never seem to. Would think it came with the service but maybe I'm wrong. They charge $35 for their cheapest pedi. That's about $10 more than other places. The atmosphere is a normal nail place, kinda messy with brown ugly massage chairs that always hurt more than anything else. They offered me a drink, that was nice. The cleaning and leg massage was way better than other places, they even include a parrafin wax and a little bit of quick hot stone. That's the best part of this place. The worst part is having to pay $15 more for gel polish when they paint very sloppy and all over the skin. $15 is already more than other places charge and other places paint way better. Overall the price is just too high for the quality. If they want to change that much they need to learn to paint better and remodel the place to look cleaner and prettier. read more

This joint pulled the "I no speak English well, switch" we ordered 2 acrylics and a gel. We got 3 acrylics and a fat charge to go with it. Took quite an effort to get it corrected. Last, the work was average at best. I'd say be very cautious when doing business at this location. Be sure your getting what you ask, and charged accurately. Went in with my mother and sister for mani/pedis. We were taken back pretty quickly after picking out our colors. We sat back there soaking our feet for probably 10-15 mins before someone was freed up to start working on my mother. Another 5 mins or so till someone came to start on my sister. I ended up waiting in lukewarm water for about another 20 mins. My pedicure wasn't bad, though I barely got any kind of massage, and the lady only used a hot stone on my legs for a moment. Nails were were barely shaped, and when finished the gel paint has bumps on a couple nails. Even though I was started on so much later than my mom and sister we were all finished up with at the same time. My nails have maintained there look thru this past week, but my sister's gel nail polish started peeling off after 2 days. I went into this establishment to get a pedicure and to relax when we walked into the door a friend of mine who is Laos the man told us that we need to go get cash because their machine was broken so we left and went to get cash, a white woman came in they said nothing to her she got her services done when she was finished she was allowed to leave and go get cash and come back to pay.during my visit I spent 48 bucks because I wanted shellac on my toes where is my partner only got a regular polish which was $35 during the pedicure lady told me she was going to charge me five dollars extra to put hot towels on my legs, but they did not charge my friend who only spent $35 (Laos friend) Even though I paid more my pedicure lasted 15 minutes less than hers hers included the hot towels and no extra charge basic nail color no shellac! My first experience with this salon was two years ago. I brought along with me my daughter, future mother-in-law, fiancé, future brother-in-law. We all had pedis for my approaching summer wedding. We all enjoyed the pampering immensely! I have been a returning customer since then. Unfortunately, as time passes by, I've noticed the rushing and sloppiness of services on me. On a recent visit, I inherited a nail fungus. I've never had a nail fungus and wasn't familiar in what I was seeing. After inspecting closer, I took the acrylic off of that particular nail and went back to the salon. The owner confirmed it was indeed fungus and sat me down with someone who'd not worked on my nails before. It just so happen to be right next to the station that the gal who had previously worked on my nails the visit before. She says, "I noticed that you had something going on, but forgot to mention it". So this new gal (Kathy) did an amazing job and I've specifically asked for her since that day. Unfortunately, one day I was late for my appt and Kathy had already started another customer. So I ended up with someone else, and it just so happen to be the gal who "forgot to mention" seeing my fungus! I thought I would give her another chance because we all have bad days, right? She proceeded to tell me that if I want the massage, it would cost extra. The massage they had always freely given, while your nails dry (a wonderful thing that also kept me coming back). She also mentioned that if I got the wax arm or hand treatment (extra $), then the massage would be given. I told her I'd been a customer for two years and this was the first time is heard about all of these extra fees. Eventually she changed her tune and told me IF she had time, she'd give me the free massage - I declined. My last few visits were rushed, sloppy, fungus filled and I feel sneaky... This is my first time coming here, & I was a little hesitant based on the reviews. However, I am long overdue for a mani, I actually had some free time earlier today & Gallery Nails was the closest place to the next location I had to be in. I would not say that the mani was perfect but I am happy w/ it as there are no bubbles in any of my fingernails (yet, I've only had this done for about 7 hrs). I was sat promptly & waited about ten mins for someone while soaking my hands in COLD, soapy water. The lady who did them barely spoke w/ me, but I understand, as they seemed quite busy today so I figured she must've been tired. I also understand that there is some language barrier there, so I'm not going to fault her for that. The price was $20 for a regular mani w/ a five-min back rub, hand wax & hot towels. Not too bad, but I must say that I would have paid more for an actual massage (like the one the lady next to me was getting). Overall, I am happy w/ how my nails look & the color (I brought my own - "Blair" by ZOYA). There are a few missed cuticles, but nothing I can't live w/. I got a full set of acrylic nails they charged me 50.00 with just regular polish nothing fancy, no design or chrome. The rates say 35.00 & up. I don't understand why they over charged me.
