I went to get my nails done after driving around to other nail places on 6th on a Monday. I didn't want to go to Top Nails, and another place was closed despite people being there. So, I decided to give Luv Nails a try. I usually drive to JBLM to get my nails done, because it's THE ONLY nail place that cleans under and around the nails when I'm getting a pedicure. No, they did not do this at Luv either, but I didn't feel like driving down to JBLM that day. The good part is that the lady cleaned up my cuticles really well. She asked me if I wanted gel polish. I said no. She asked again. I said no again. I understood the ask - it's $15 more - but I was a little annoyed. No big deal. The pedicure was good and the place is clean and a good spot to relax. I didn't use my phone and just closed my eyes for a bit. The entire service was worth what I paid. I left a big tip. The lady could have chosen to be lazy, but she did an excellent job. Maybe I can get them to clean and scrape under the toe nails...? I'll be going back. It was a good experience. read more

We went in asking to do 2 full acrylic sets. We sat down and they proceed to get gelx things. I asked if they did acrylics and they said yes, but I'm guessing there was a miscommunication. When I thought I had made sure they knew we wanted acrylics they proceeded to do gelx. We didn't stop them because we've had them done before (not there) . So we went along and got the gelx. The only thing I didn't like was the price for the simple set we got. If I would have known it was that much, I would have made sure we got the acrylics instead. Just make sure you're clear on what you want and not what's easier for them. You're paying for the service and should be what you want and not be pushed to do something else. Again, I could have spoken up but by the time I realized they had already started applying the nails on my daughter. I do have to add that there was alot of gel under her nails on a few fingers (hoping. That doesn't cause an allergic reaction) . It was 140 for 2 gelx sets. read more

I have gone to this Nail Bar 2 times. The first time I got a very nice gentleman that's been doing nails for over 20 years. The service he provided was a good experience he took off a set from a previous salon so he could start over, I understand it takes longer to take nails off the gentle way but he just used a fake nail tip to tear them off without asking me which I'm sure they charge more to wrap them up in solution with foil but aside from tearing part of your nails off in the process which I would have preferred. Even though he insisted I trust the new way of nails at this salon (I'm old school & like my nails how I like them...shape wise) I let him do his art. He also painted my nails with gel nail polish. The total was $60.00 (receipt included in photos). When I was due for a fill I brought my daughter so she could get a fresh set of nails. My daughter got a very nice lady (I believe it's the First Gentleman's wife I forgot her name). I got a different man. The man who did my fill took a total of about 20 minutes to do my fill & didn't pay attention to detail nor ask me if I was happy with shape etc, he was rushing me because I also wanted to get a pedicure. I chose the deluxe pedi, the lady who did my pedicure which was a higher priced one that was supposed to be more detailed with callous removal & massage was not worth the $50 price at all that I received you could tell she was rushed to get done & could care less about the quality of my services. Another lady painted my nails I got a fill on towards the end of my pedi. I was charged $60 for my fill which I didn't know how it costed me the same as the previous experience I came for the first time to get nails off & a fresh set of nails with gel polish. When I went to pay the lady who did my pedi gave me the total of $110.00 for my services. I asked her how was my fill the same as a new set of nails etc, she was rude & had no answer. I actually still tipped $10.00 (I shouldn't have tipped anything & I'm usually very generous with my tips) but against my instincts I still tipped. On their online menu they even have discounted prices for nail & pedi services together so not only didn't they offer that to me but they overcharged me. I will bring my daughter to get a fill from the lady that did her nails because she was a sweetheart & took her time with my daughter & actually was more helpful with me in choosing a color than the actual lady that did my pedi who could care less & would just say we do not have that color etc, but I won't be going back for myself. I'd give more stars for first experience but second experience brought rating down to 1 star only cause I can't choose none. read more

Never been here before and booked two specialty pedicures for myself and my mom for her birthday weekend, requested Jenny in my booking online and she was amazing for my mom, so including providing extra massage time on her feet for her birthday. My mom got "ice dancer" which included hot stones which she loved. I got the deluxe pedicure and Jessie did mine, she was also amazing! I have been getting my nails done the past year and they have been accommodating, especially during my lunch period. Staff is really nice!

So I sent a picture thru Instagram.. got there around 10:45am got my nails started around 11:20am they had me pick my colors I had already sent a pic.. they picked the tips. I specifically said SQUARE nails they told me what I was getting which was coffin. I absolutely hate coffin shaped nails.. I have been getting my nails done professionally since I was 11 I am now 37..I have friends whom do nails as well as frequent "pamper nail gallery" in LA where celebrities frequent.. my nails got completed at 2:22.. never had she given me a price the guy who started my nails was making fun at the fact my previous nails had charms that would not come off only the nail. Fast forward I'm finished and she tells me that's $240!! Just for nails. She tried to tell me it was different in Washington as if I have never got my nails done here. She seen I was from out of town and tried to scam me, however I travel for a living. I didn't get the shape I wanted or length and she scribbled extra crap saying to make it different then tried charging me $240!! Not only are the nails ugly the charms have already come off when my charms where still in place from a set done 4 weeks prior that was a $90 set! They are scammers and thought I was there with money cause I come from California and got gold teeth did not mean I just had money to spend on bullshit! Needless to say I did not pay them $240 but they insisted it was that much cause it took 4 hours when it definitely did not take 4 hours and 2 different people did my nails just like everyone else! Looks are deceiving! I made an appt for pedicure and shellac manicure at 930 in the morning. I pulled up and the place was closed. I waited and someone pulls up at 9:40. Ok no problem. My pedicure was fine until the tech did my polish. I had candy apple red done. It was uneven and it looked like I had sand on my toes. My manicure was pretty good. When I got in my car and drove away I looked down at my feet. They looked horrible in the light. I ran my finger across the tops of my toes and they had some kind of grit all over them. I went back and asked if they could correct it. Maybe it was just a bad day. read more

I went to this nail bar, more than once and this was the worst experience I've ever encountered in all my experiences with a nail shop that I've ever endured getting a service, I felt discriminated on and I will tell you why, I went there without an appointment and they got me in the pedi chair immediately. Shortly after that 5 Caucasian women came in, only one had an appointment I sat in there waiting to get my nails done for about 2 hours, they kept looking and giggling taking their time, finally a nail teach came, I ask her who the owner was, she said that she didn't know, so I ask another tech, she said it was family owned, well why did the young lady lie and said she didn't know, I snatched my hand away and said I'm done, let them know how I felt, I had a temporary bank card and the machine didn't except it, so I went across the street to a ATM, paid them the their money and said if I was anything like them I wouldn't have come back because of their customer service but because I'm better than that I did return to pay them their 40$ and let them know that they won't ever have to worry about me coming their again, it was terrible because two of the women that were being serviced ask if I was ok. I also told them that just because I don't speak your language doesn't mean I don't know that they were talking about me, Customer service is everything if I spend money I should be able to tell them what I want and how I want it done. I myself am a licensed cosmetologist so I know what a pedicure entails, and I have never e walked out of there with with a well done pedi. Such an amazing place with so much potential, unfortunately their work and attitudes not so much, Ive been getting my nails done since I was 15 years old, I am not cheap and I wouldn't call myself to picky im pretty basic. I asked for medium length almond shaped bubble bath nails, two nail techs worked on my nails, they glued the tips and yanked them off about 3 times why is it so hard to put on the tips? I have never had that problem. They gave me cat nails short pointy nails, and very crooked I am a polite educated person I would never disrespect or want to make anyone feel bad the tech could clearly see I was a little upset and saw the two crooked nails. I am a business owner as well, when I see someone not eating their food I make sure to ask if everything's ok or we can exchange to accommodate them. These techs just talked between them clearly seeing I was upset about the nails she knew she did a bad job. I'm really wondering by the way they work, if they are professionally certified nail techs. I will never come back here I have never had such a bad experience. read more

By far, the WORST nail salon I've been to..EVER! At first, I loved this salons modern decor and what seemed to be at an inviting welcome but it takes more than that to have repeat customers. Unsanitary...using same files on different clients Rude....complaining and making comments to each other when I requested a design and colors Poor Quality...I paid over $100 for crooked gel nails that look like scoops Rushed Service....Not offered the relaxing massage experience I get from other salons in town. I stopped at this location for a relaxing pedicure and to get gel nails although not the most desirable area....the service turned out to be even less desirable. Then My nail technician, Myra, complained the entire time and seemed put off that I requested a design from her. I was rushed through the service with one technician doing my pedicure while Myra did my nails. I could barely turn on the massage chair because I was being pulled and pushed in different directions. My nails turned out crooked and to boot they overcharged me for both services. Never again will I be stopping at this location....should have gone with my gut and kept driving. My best advice for this salon is if you dont want to provide customers with good quality service you shouldn't be in business. read more

I made an appointment in advance with a specific nail technician and when I got there someone else came over and was about to start. It was pretty awkward but I said that I had made an appointment with a different person. The owner came over and said that the person I made an appointment with was already busy with someone else and it's ok right to try someone else. I'm a wee bit picky, which is why I always make appointments in advance with specific people... When someone makes an appointment, the nail salon should honor it:/. Ended up having to wait 30 minutes for the person I had made an appointment with to do my pedicure. The inside is nice, "elegant" feeling almost. The older Lady was very nice and Did her job well and was very through. I appreciated that... I am not usually the one to write a review because I understand that customer service is a tough industry. However... I will never go here again. I felt uncomfortable the entire time. The "younger" workers there have zero respect and carried on conversations with other employees not once looking up at the customers... I went there with my 17yr old daughter, the guy who was doing her nails was taking a long time, and so my daughter decided to just get what he had already finished instead of what she actually wanted. He stated it was taking a long time cause she "Had Ugly Hands"... I was floored. as they wrapped it up, they couldn't of been more clear that they wanted to leave, not get the customers taken care of. They did not care at all. They are WAY over priced, my nails turned out terrible. its only been a few days and one has already fallen off. they are way shorter than I had asked for, than what I paid for. I don't care who you are, when you are in the business of doing nails, hands and what not... you don't tell customers they have ugly hands, or ugly anything. That's not what people are paying for. Honestly I'm a little disappointed in the salon with all the high reviews that I read before going I'll was excited to go get my nails done there and I saw that you could get your eyelashes done there as well and so I was wanting to get that done while I was there. I tried calling and no one answered the phone so I ended up just booking an appointment online with their booking service and it let me book the nail appointment and the eyelash appointment and it emailed me to confirm it and texted me to confirm it so I thought that it had been taken care of. My appointment was for 10 AM and I got there at 9:50 and I went to open the door and it was locked and no one was inside that I could see so I waited in my car. I had also called them three times the day of after they had opened at 9:30 just to confirm that my appointment was still good before I had left my house and no one answered and so I ended up just leaving a voicemail and going to the appointment. I saw someone go in and unlock it and leave it unlocked and then I went in after them and explained that I had made an appointment online for my nails to be done and for eyelashes. The woman seemed a bit confused and asked me to reiterate so I did and then she had me sit down at a station and began doing my nails. The woman who was doing my nails was very sweet and my nails do look very good but she was on her phone the entire time on multiple different phone calls talking to people getting up and looking around for things it just seemed a bit disorganized. There was another lady who had showed up and started asking about the eyelash extensions asking if I could come in next week and I explained that I couldn't because I was going to be leaving town and she said OK and then she started asking how I wanted them done and everything and so I was telling her how I wanted them done. Near the end of my appointment she asked if I could come back later in the day at 2pm I said that was fine and she said OK and walked away. And then the lady who was doing my nails finished my nails asked if they were good, they were, so I went to check out and once we got up to the front for her to take my payment she was saying how the girls that usually does eyelashes is out of town and asked if I could come in next week to get them done. I said I am out of town next week like I said earlier but that it's fine don't worry about it and she said OK sorry and then checked me out and I left. I probably won't be going back here just because it seemed a little unprofessional and disorganized, however they did do a great job on my nails and I am happy with that. read more

the people working were very nice but i was there for 3 hours to get a one color fill and pedicure, and spent the majority of the time just waiting. every time they would start working on my nails or toes they would get up and have me sitting there waiting for 10-15 minutes several times. they were overbooked and had too many customers and not enough staff. everyone in there had a long wait. my toes didn't look half way decent until a second lady came and redid them for me. very nice salon and kind staff but overall wasn't satisfied and pretty frustrated. parking isn't the greatest either. maybe i just came on a bad day! :( read more
