Always visit the store when im in LA . Big shout out to matt for always taking care of me !!

A Los Angeles staple - definitely worth the visit, whether you're visiting or a local. LA local Owned & Black-Owned, by good People. Pretty sure you need an appointment (but that's easy). The selection in store is a lot, so my recommendation is to have a target in mind - otherwise you might get tempted by something else. They usually have everything available online, in a range of sizes in store. Trying on sizes to get the right fit has never been a problem for me here. The prices are luxury, but the quality & customer service is worth is. Not to mention if you purchase here, you get access to alterations & repairs to your pants in the future.

Despite a previously bad experience (for which my review seems to have been removed) with an off colour 'white' cap & an incorrectly sized pair of jeans, both of which were expensive, I tried again. I ordered the black LA flares and instead received a dark green/bluey pair of jeans, with no sign of any black whatsoever. I'm struggling to understand how it's legal to sell items (especially expensive items) & provide wildly different products in comparison to what's advertised/ordered, and get away with It. I've also reattached images of the 'whiten cap & the 32" leg jeans which I ordered, and which gallery dept (after waiting weeks for a response) saw no issue with.

Don't purchase online you will never get your item. When you provide a customer a confirmation of purchase and tracking label and email stating item is own its way. Then you never ship the item, and the customer has to contact you 8 days later to find out what's going on. Your response is the item is sold out, after you provide confirmation of purchase and tracking # and email item is on it's way. You can be a nice brand but professionalism is always KING

I purchased an item for almost $700 on 12/5/23. It was a Christmas gift. However as of 12/18/23 I still had not received my item. I tried contacting the company several times (about 10) via email and phone and nothing, nada, noone, nobody returned or replied to my emails or calls. Then on 12/28/23 today, I find out that my item was shipped! Well guess what, I didn't need or want it anymore but they don't give refunds, only store credit,.,really!! Well trust me I will be sending the item back and getting my money back! Never have I experienced such poor customer service! I work in client services and pride myself on quick responses in order to keep my customers. I guess this company does care about keeping their customers because they just lost this one!!

My APCs repaired after blowing out the crotch.

It features a purposefully crinkly texture, and the blend is an odd one. Doing some research, I've noticed both of the fabrics for the jacket require specific care to avoid damage or shrinkage. The liner also features viscose which is also susceptible to shrinkage. And it had that used clothing stench combined with some body odor from the prior owner in the pits area. The dress shirt had a few stains around the collar but some fabric ironing spray stains from a hotel stay. Suffice it to say, both items were needing some TLC but need the right TLC. I gave this spot a go because of the reviews and hoped that they'd accept both items but also handle them with the necessary care. I made a big point about the blend when dropping off, and the guy at the counter kindly took it and asked the cleaner what they could do. After a quick evaluation and pricing, I felt pretty confident they'd do the job. And voila! Not only were both items cleaned of any smell and stains, but they came back in like - new condition. The velvet / velour jacket retained its unique properties while also feeling 10x more soft than when I dropped it off. And the dress shirt was saved from what I feared were unsalvageable stains. They also had the items ready in a little less than 24 hours. It was one the pricier side, but not as crazy as some other spots I checked out. Highly recommend if you have any cherished (but delicate) items you want clean without the worry of them being damaged.

I had lost a bit of weight and the fit was completely off. The dress looked boxy and frumpy, and I honestly started to panic. Thankfully, I found Lina--the amazing owner of Alterations Et Al in West Hollywood. I reached out and she invited me to bring the dress in to see what could be done. She was so warm, kind, and professional--and even with the tight turnaround, she agreed to take on the rush job. The dress needed a lot of work, but when I picked it up, it fit like a glove. It looked flawless and felt like it had been custom-made for me. Lina is not only incredibly talented, but also fast, detail-oriented, and just lovely to work with. So many people told me I looked beautiful that night--and a few even said I was one of the best dressed. That's 100% thanks to Lina's amazing work. On Monday I started calling to see if they could ship my dress to me (I had last minute travel to Arizona). Every time I called they asked for my name and number and said they would call me back to let me know. I called almost every day that week after my dress was supposed to be ready until finally I decided to send my friend over to just pick it up for me and ship it himself. When he arrived, he was told the dress was not ready. He said they had a question for me before he could start. Mind you, I had called every day- giving them my information, and nobody had any questions for me, and nobody told me my dress hadn't been started. And nobody tried to call me to ask questions. They were waiting for me to show up to pick the dress up to tell me they hadn't started. Unbelievable! At this point, it's about 1 week before the wedding. The owner apologized to me and said they would have it done by Sunday (this was Friday night) and would ship it to me overnight so I would have it by Tuesday for the wedding on Friday. It was shipped a day later than that, so I didn't receive the dress until Thursday! I had to wait in AZ (extending my trip) until it came and missed the rehearsal dinner & welcome party. You guys, this dress was SO simple. It ended up being tight on my body and loose on top so my boobs were a problem the entire time. I've never had an experience like this where something that is normally so easy and simple became an absolute nightmare. Bill ended up being $130. $75 for dress +shipping

I've gone to this tailor multiple times because the location is convenient. He does overcharge, but…read morein the past the work was at least acceptable--so I kept going. That changed with my most recent suit. The alterations were objectively bad. The jacket was visibly lopsided: one sleeve was about an inch longer than the other, one side of the jacket hadn't been taken in at all, and the pants were tapered far too tight. To make matters worse, the elbow seam hadn't even been sewn properly. I had already paid, so when I pointed all this out, I was told to bring the suit back and they'd "take care of it." Fine. Mistakes happen--what matters is how they're handled. When I picked up the suit after the supposed fixes, I was charged again for correcting their own mistakes. That's the real issue here. They do not stand behind their work. If the outcome is wrong, the responsibility is pushed back onto the customer. That's poor craftsmanship paired with poor ethics. You don't pay for an attempt--you pay for a finished result. If a tailor won't honor the quality of their own work, that's a red flag. I'd strongly recommend finding another tailor, and explicitly asking upfront whether they stand behind their alterations. These guys do not.
